The career commenced in the British Army, which provided the
perfect platform to develop the desirable character traits of self-

valuable attributes within my subsequent employment.
Commenced operating as a Loss Prevention Officer in 2007 and
quickly established a reputation of being proficient at detecting,
investigating and preventing crime.
One of the reasons behind the success in the role was the ability
to understand the modus operandi of the targets and by getting
into their mindset it was easier to gain a clearer picture of the
methods they will deploy to avoid detection. The remit as a
Loss Prevention Officer included following the targets, utilising
surveillance equipment, producing reports and attending court,
all of which were undertaken with uttermost professionalism.
Additional experience has been gained in the Close Protection
Industry, which has frequently required the need to conduct
Counter Surveillance & Surveillance Detection duties in order
to evade, deter or gather intelligence on hostile Surveillance
Teams.

2. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
CLOSE PROTECTION OFFICER & SURVEILLANCE OPERATOR
Dates: September 2011 to present day
Employers: Various including Infantry Security Services, Total Care Security, and a Private Client
CP Team Member & Surveillance Operator tasked with providing security for commercial clients,
through conducting patrols and carrying out surveillance missions.
CP Team & Surveillance Operator on behalf of a High Net Worth client and his young family based
at their residence in London. Forming part of a 5-man team the duties on this contract, which
commenced in early 2012 and is ongoing, include briefing the clients, providing around the clock
security on a rotation basis, and the SAP function for pending venues that they are due to visit. Have
drawn on experience to provide the clients with advice on PERSEC to improve their awareness. The
surveillance role included conducting Counter Surveillance & Surveillance Detection duties in order
to evade, deter or gather intelligence on hostile Surveillance Teams.
CP Team Member providing CP and PES on behalf of the management and players of Liverpool FC.
The remit includes escorting the players from their vehicles to the training ground, performing CP &
PES duties during their visits to restaurants and functions, providing security in the VIP area at the
ground, and acting in the role of PPO when required.
CP Team Leader in charge of the leadership of the security team during Liverpool Music Awards.
The duties included conducting the SAP function, briefing the CPO’s to ensure that they had a clear
understanding of their specific roles, and ensuring that each element of the security provision was
carried out to the exacting standards.
CP Team Leader in charge of leadership and deployment of a large security team at Creamfields.
RST as part of a 5-man team responsible for maintaining the security on behalf of a Corporation in
London. The role would extend to providing CP during corporate events and security for the CEO.

Role & Duties
Operated in a uniformed and plain clothes role, the duties included operating CCTV, liaising with the store
management, key holding, patrolling the stores, detaining people for theft, opening & closing premises,
gathering evidence, completing reports, and attending various court cases. I would also put forward a
number of changes to improve the detection of potential criminals and assisted new hires in gaining the
required skill set to perform their duties. Based on my performance, I would gain promotion to Assistant
Manager.
