V. CORE COMPETENCY
ARMS recognize that there are specific
factors that determine the success or
failure of a firm in the security and
protection service industry. The most
important factor that is the key to our
firm’s success is “the identification of
the changing holistic security needs of
valued Clients,” as herein reflected:
A. Organization
The business is run by certified
security key officers with principles
honed by over twenty cumulative
years full-time hands on security
management experiences. They have been managing the operations both as Private Security
Agency (PSA) clients (for commercial business corporations) and as PSA provider. With their
commitment to religiously improve the security services to the clientele, they landed to run a
new security business that will complement the traditional service practices through
technological innovation for efficient 24/7 remote and close monitoring full scale support
services with relevant add on services such as, but not limited to the following:
1. Risk Assessment
2. Security Audit
B. Guards
The quality of service to
Client depends on the
quality of guards deployed
in the field. ATTITUDE and
SKILL are indivisible
components that every
guard must have to become
an asset for the services to
be rendered. In this
connection, guards are
screened mentally and
physically and continuously refreshed to ensure that their “attitudes” in line with the three
ARMS fundamental principles(based on R.A 5487, also known as “The Private Security Agency
Law”) are collectively maintained to control and efficiently manage their skills:
5 | P a g e
1. Integrity. Guards are indoctrinated with moral principles relevant to their work
functions. They must be honest in thoughts and in deeds at all times and protect at all
cost all properties entrusted to their custody.
2. Discipline. Inasmuch as guards carry firearms, they are indoctrinated with basic military
discipline and rules of engagement and must live with it whether they are in uniform or
not with defined distance from any of ARMS existing Area of Responsibilities (AORs).
Their duty is to protect life at all cost within the bounds required by law.
3. Professionalism. Guards are not purely military. They are called to render paramilitary
duties under the PNP- SOSIA supervision. Theirs is the duty to deal customers politely
and courteously and serve them in line with the basic “customer service principle.”
C. Logistic Requirements
ARMS advance that radio
and firearms are important
security complements in
the security services that
potentially help escalate
the psychological level of
deterrence in the
protected area or
environment. Two way
radios are equally
important for instant
relaying of information and
coordination for
immediate execution of
every crisis standard pre-
defined function.
Security technology, on the other hand, equally helps support the 24/7 remote monitoring
based in the ARMS office. In case of assistance that entails office additional manpower and
logistic support, company vehicle or motorcycle are at hand to deliver the requirements.
