other powertrain components – automotive and heavy duty truck powertrains. Core competencies include
processing and manufacturing line development and launch. Extensive exposure to engine plants, manufacturing
engineering, and purchasing departments. Very knowledgeable of the overall machine tool industry.
Project Management experience on large programs for metal cutting equipment, assembly equipment and large
parts washers. Successful at planning, developing and implementing manufacturing equipment under budget.

Continued diversification in the manufacturing business, building on past experience in metal cutting and shop
assembly equipment. Possibilities include further project management involving large machinery, cutting tools,

Weber Automotive 2015-2016
Manufacturing Engineer
Responsible for two ZF Transmission Case lines. Direct contact with our customer as a project manager. Main
focus was on the cleanliness specification which is not being met. Oversaw a basic design of experiments
program to evaluate the cause of the ongoing out of specification condition. Experiments proved that the washer
is not adequate, and new investment in equipment would be necessary. Management is not willing to invest.
AutoCon Inc. (Bankrupt) 2014-2015
Project Manager
Project Manager for special steering gear assembly machines for Nexteer. Responsibilities included writing of
technical proposal including cost estimates. The value of the project was approx. 8 million.

Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Project Manager
Project Manager for metal cutting and assembly equipment for large diesel engine cylinder block and head lines.
Responsibilities include providing written specifications for equipment and review of technical and financial
proposals from suppliers. Accomplishments include the successful launch of this equipment, which involved
project management skills, detailed budget tracking (plus-minus list), accurate schedule tracking, and successful
PPAP process. Very knowledgeable with FMEA, SPC, SAP, AutoCad, Excel, PowerPoint and more
CROSS HUELLER, Sterling Heights, MI 2001-2005
Senior Proposal Engineer
Responsible for complete systems proposals for various powertrain components, including cylinder head and
block lines. Accomplishments include extensive proposal leading to an order for a cylinder head flex line for
Ford Romeo, and competitive proposal to Detroit Diesel for a cylinder block line. Volunteered to move to
Ludwigsburg Germany (6 months) to act as liaison engineer for the Romeo project.

Responsible for improvement of machine tool efficiencies and optimization of machine maintainability.

Tooling Project Engineer
Directly responsible for process, tooling designs, and tooling procurement on large special machine tool lines,
including large transfer lines and “flex” lines. Also responsible for coordination of part/tool inspection gages, as
well as tool management systems. Engaged in extensive customer contact, as well as contact with various
engineering firms and tooling suppliers. Duties also included management of machine runoffs.
Highlights in this position include:
• Successfully managed process, tooling and gauging on two Chrysler cylinder
block lines, 3.3L, 3.9L, and a 3.3L cylinder head line, simultaneously.
• Participated on several simultaneous engineering teams for production equipment
for cylinder blocks and cylinder heads.
• Met or came under all engineering budgets for tooling on programs which were assigned
to myself as a Tooling Project Engineer.
LAMB TECHNICON, Warren, MI 1985 - 1988
Designer - CAD Department
Responsible for development of special software to automate creation of proposal drawings and machine layouts.
Worked extensively on proposal layouts and entire plant layouts. Also transferred to a shop liaison position
where I was responsible for tooling on a production transfer machine for cylinder heads.
THE CROSS COMPANY, Fraser, MI 1979 - 1984
Tooling Designer
Completed The Cross Company Engineering and Design Training Program in 1979. This program was an
institution at The Cross Company up until the year 1979. This program enlisted a small group of qualified
persons which were given direct classroom instruction, and hands on training in various aspects of special
machine tool design. The program was six months in length, 40 hours per week. Each individual then had to
design and detail a special machine from a list of specifications.
The training program was then followed by employment with The Cross Company. Each individual then spent
time in various departments, including the manufacturing area.
