Highlights Accomplishments DFSS Green Belt Certified  Successfully completed required DFSSclasses and robust assessment project for the new corporate best practice under hood hem washer nozzles. Experience Chrysler – Auburn Hill, MI 2007 – Present Front End Closures Group  Design Engineer responsible for the design and releasing of the hood assembly for the new 2017 Chrysler minivan program. Insured that the design passed stamping simulation, frontal and angular impact requirements, durability requirements, pedestrian head impact and was able to utilize existing assembly tooling.  Design Engineer responsible for the design and releasing of the hood assembly and fenders for the 2015 Challenger refresh program. Insured that the design passed stamping simulation, met frontal and angular impact requirements and was able to utilize existing assembly tooling.  Design Engineer responsible for the design and releasing of the hood assembly and fenders for the new 2011 Grand Cherokee program. Followed the product through the building of the dies and supported vehicle production launch at Jefferson North Assembly Plant. Jeep Truck – Detroit, MI 2002 – 2007 Door Closures & Hinges  Responsibilities included carryover product changes, cost savings initiatives and quality issues on the Grand Cherokee. Resolved creaking door hinge quality issue by implementing different bushing material in hinge assembly. Truck Pickup Box  Managed the design, development, testing and successful launch of the 2008 Dakota pickup box catwalk applique and utility rail box management system. The system required modified box outer panels, and additional reinforcement assembly under for under the catwalk. The utility rail management system was shipped into the plant as an  NX Design  Microsoft Power Point  Team Center  Microsoft Word  Catia V5  Microsoft Excel  DFSS  FMVSS  Design for Manufacturing
  2. 2. assembly which included an extruded aluminum rail, tie down cleats and TPO catwalk applique. The cargo rail system was implemented shortly after on the Dodge Ram.  Successfully turned around the engineering, design and testing of the dual position tailgate on the 2007 Dakota program. The dual position tailgate system was done on time and met target costs where previously, the program was behind schedule and over target cost.  Initiated and implemented cost saving idea of a 2 out box wheelhouse inner dies for the new 2015 Dakota pickup box for a cost savings of $4 per vehicle. Implemented design changes to Dakota box floor assembly that resulted from CPG and CAE analysis. Also support Warren Truck Assembly Plant on the launch of the new 2015 Dakota pickup (top hat) which included bringing in the box floor assembly form Tower Automotive and integrating it into the Dodge pickup box for line. Manage cost, weight and investment. Warren Truck Assembly Plant – Warren, MI 1999 – 2002 Plant Vehicle Engineer  Responsible for closure panels and hinges for the launch of the new 2002 Dodge Ram pickup which included door hanging, fit and finish, closing efforts and recommending tooling moves. Prior to Dodge Ram launch, was responsible for the dimensional control of the outgoing Dodge Ram and Dakota pickup BIW which included analyzing dimensional data, root causing variation and mean shifts, reviewing tooling for lose clamps and worn pins and recommending tooling moves. Also ran plant trial runs for proposed engineering part changes. Jeep Truck – Detroit, MI 1985 – 1999  Responsible for the design of the 1998 Dodge truck aperture assembly and components 1/94 – 12/98.  Assumed the design engineering and releasing of the 1994 Dodge Ram pickup box floor assembly, wheelhouse and front center panel. Reduced cost by communizing the cross members to be used in multiple locations. Supported Warren Truck Assembly Plant and St. Louis Assembly Plant in the launch of the 1994 Dodge Ram 2/93 – 1/94.  Responsible for the design responsible and releasing of the 1994 Dodge Ram front door assembly and components. Assisted root causing build issues by supporting proto- type builds and analyzing the dimensional quality of the stampings and build variation from the assembly process 1/90 – 2/93.  Created designs for sealing and glass components for the Jeep Cherokee program. Interfaced with cross functional engineering groups and suppliers to insure quality fit and finish 6/85 – 1/90.
