Last month we received some feedback
from ‘Peter’. He has been a customer
from the beginning, in fact his firm
placed our very first order, so we have
had plenty of his ‘monkeys’ over the
years. He left some feedback for us
via the NPS* survey and when asked
why he gave us the high score he said;
“Simply because I can pass on all my
‘monkeys’ to the team at WFP and
they disappear for ever, never to
re-appear back on my shoulders.”
If anyone has read the book ‘The One
Minute Manager Meets the Monkey’ then
you’ll understand. For those who have yet
to read it; a ‘monkey’ is a problem which
moves from one persons shoulders to
another and the book explains how to
manage other peoples ‘monkeys’.
So give us your fire and security monkeys
and the ‘keepers’ here at WFP will deal
with them in the appropriate manner!
You can buy your copy of ‘The One Minute
Manager Meets the Monkey’ from
www.amazon.co.uk
*What is NPS and why is it important to you?
NPS stands for ‘Net Promoter Score’ and
it’s important as it’s the way that a
company such as us measures itself. It’s
really simple and revolves around one
question: “Would you recommend us to
someone else?” on a scale of 1-10, with
a short space to explain why. The key
thing is that we learn from mistakes and
criticism and it’s important to you
because as we learn from
feedback, we improve the
service we deliver to you.
Give us your Monkeys!

@WORK
Tom Patel joined our team in August
(yes this August) as our Marketing
Assistant. Tom’s job, amongst many, is
customer communication, helping to
add value to our relationship.
He worked here a couple of years ago
during a school break as a summer job and
just kept in touch. Tom is half way though
a degree course in Business Management
in Farringdon, which takes up half of his
week, the other days you’ll find him asking
for customer feedback and looking for
ways to offer better customer service,
whilst posting blogs on fire safety. He is
currently spending time learning why
customers use our services and coming up
with smart slogans, about us ‘looking after
your monkeys’ and such-like…

The opinions above are ours and based on experience, this guide is very simplified and aimed at giving you a
