admitted with severe dehydration
due to diarrhoea and vomiting for
the past two days. Four (4) litres of
Ringers Lactate in 24 hours have
been prescribed.
Commence the intravenous infusion.

theater after laparatomy for bowel
obstruction. He is on an intravenous line,
indwelling catheter and a nasogastric tube
for drainage.
Perform the immediate post operative
