• Organized Sixty Plus outreach project with the mission of increasing equity in the distribution of clinical services;

Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee & the Cumberlands, Nashville, TN 1984-2008

Managed attorneys and personnel of the second largest office of Legal Aid (Clarksville office covered seven counties).
Administered all aspects of law office operations including hiring, training, evaluations, professional
development, marketing, budgeting, and managing grants while simultaneously carrying a full case load. Transformed
office operations via innovative cross training of paralegals to expand the scope, depth, and reach of crucial legal assistance.
Negotiated contract for the County to donate office space in the courthouse to optimize convenient public access to
2. indispensable services. Also partnered with the City to sponsor fair housing radio broadcasts and to bear expense for fair
housing marketing campaign. The partnerships established with local government were exceptionally beneficial in widening
doors to justice. For nearly two decades the City/County referred all fair housing, eviction, and predatory lending cases to
the Clarksville (CV) office per the terms of exclusive service contracts.
Managed compliance activities as the Equal Employment Compliance Officer for over 200 employees. Throughout
tenure eliminated financial exposure to firm by instituting an effective risk and control framework to address and resolve
problems.

Recognized by local judiciary and bar associations as subject-matter expert in civil procedure particularly litigation
involving housing and consumer protection; trained a cadre of judges, lawyers, and other professionals in the course of an

• Directed Tennessee arm of the Military/Civilian Coordinated Community Response (CCR) to Stop Domestic and
Sexual Abuse at Fort Campbell and adjoining State of Kentucky (by invitation of DOD, DOJ&OVW) and generated
an executive summary of qualitative and quantitative findings from the five-year study.
• Recognized by General Assembly of Tennessee with proclamation of appreciation for 24 years of exemplary civic
