1. A. The class is made up of 25 high school juniors, with 16 of them being males and 9 being
females. Three of the students have mild ADHD, but there are no severe learning disabilities.
The class is 85% white, 10% African American, and 5% Latino.
S. Using a WebQuest, the students will research about the Pearl Harbor attack and write a page
long journal entry in the viewpoint of an American sailor. The students will be able to recite
basic facts about the attack with 90% accuracy by the end of the class.
S. The students will need access to a computer, which will be possible with the use of the school
computer lab in necessary. The students will also need to download a QR generator in order to
use the QR code that the teacher will provide that takes them to a website for research.
U. The teacher will set up the web quest and give the guide lines to the class.
The teacher will make sure that each student gets a copy of the instructions of the webquest.
The teacher will need to take the time to make sure that all of the websites for the webquest and
the site that the QR code takes the students to are safe for the students to visit and free of
unwanted adds.
The teacher needs to program the Voki avatar to make it as interactive as possible in order to get
the students thinking more.
R. Each student will be responsible for doing the web quest and will have a computer to
complete the activity.
E. The students will be assessed on their knowledge with a discussion at the end of class. The
students will also be given bell ringer questions at the beginning of class to assess what they
2. were taught yesterday. There will also be a chance for students to write down questions that they
think would be appropriate for the test at the end of the week.
