Most Traumatizing Experiences
One of the most traumatizing experiences in my life, was when I was nine years old. I was sitting in my room, then heard a really loud knocking on
the door. I heard sirens coming from outside, so I looked out the window and saw nothing but flashing lights. I try to run into the living room to see
what was going on, but my mom was trying to block the view. Then seeing Police flood into my house, jerking my older brother off of the cough. They
put him into the back of the cruiser and took him to the Police Station. My parents confused, why he was being arrested. They found out that he had
gotten into trouble with drugs and theft.
Not having the best of influences growing up in my household, with a sibling who did not make the best of choices

Personal Narrative Essay : A Funny Day At School
I remember one incredibly funny day from last year. It was the day I fell through the glass display case at school. Boy, I tell you that sucked so
bad. I know for a fact I'll never live it down. I'm known for being pretty accident prone so it was no surprise to people when they found out I was
the one who had left the blood stain in the hallway. I was walking back from lunch with my friend Matt, we were telling each other jokes about
dead babies. I looked over and saw my little brother, I turned to Matt and said "watch this" then I ran up to my brother and tried to do a jumping
high five. He didn't think I was trying to high five him he thought I was trying to hit him. Out of instinct he pushed me away and I fell backwards,
I landed and pivoted on the ball of my left foot. I thought I had gotten away safe and clear, I went to take a step and BAM! I had been tripped by
my own untied shoelace, betrayed by my own apparel. I fell backwards and expected to hit lockers, unfortunately it wasn't lockers or even a door. I
had crashed into the glass display case, oh the utter humility. I hit the ground and leaned up on one arm, I was fine, not a scratch. Mrs. Wright
come running up in total mom mode " Oh my God, are you alright, AHH, don't move!". " No it's okay I can get up, they are pretty big pieces, I can
crawl around them". " No sweety don't get up". I looked at her and asked " Mrs. Wright is there a piece in me?". She gulped and said "Yes". Total
internal breakdown but I

Scary Story Essay example
Scary Story I looked up at the black sky. I hadn't intended to be out this late. The sun had set, and the empty road ahead had no streetlights. I knew
I was in for a dark journey home. I had decided that by traveling through the forest would be the quickest way home. Minutes passed, yet it seemed
like hours and days. The farther I traveled into the forest, the darker it seemed to get. I was very had to even take a breath due to the stifling air.
The only sound familiar to me was the quickening beat of my own heart, which felt as though it was about to come through my chest. I began to
whistled to take my mind off the eerie noises I was hearing. In this kind of darkness I was in, it was hard for me to believe that I could be...show more

I took a glance around and found myself looking right into a pair of dark, glassy eyes peering at me through the bushes. I knew I was not seeing
things at that moment. Were those the evil eyes of a goblin lurking waiting for it's next meal? My breath became too rapid for me to be able to
whistle. I took a big gulp and decided to step on it and quicken my pace. I would never get home at this rate. The same moment I decided to quicken
my speed, a deer burst through the night. I screamed, stumbled and hit the ground with a loud thump. I sat on the moist ground for a moment to
try to recover but my heart began to throb as if it was beating within my throat. It was just a deer I told myself, I had to be brave. Trying to get myself
together I began to feel this hot puffs of air on the back of my neck. "It's the goblin!" I screamed as I rapidly rose to my feet. My head spun like an owl
as I went to look for what was behind me. I looked to the ground and discovered a little white dog. "You scared me to death little guy. What is a cute
little puppy like you doing in a dense forest like this?" I said to him. I was relieved it was only a dog instead of the ghastly goblin, but I only made it
half–way home by then. As I proceeded on the white little dog followed me. I felt more at ease now that I had him following me but he would not be
considered much of a watch dog to most

The Curious Incident Essay
Have you ever changed a lot over time or have you always stayed the same? Everyone changes or doesn't in different ways. "We cannot become what
we want by remaining what we are." – Max Depree. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night–Time is written by the famous Mark Haddon. Some
of the other books by Mark Haddon are; The Spot of Bother, The Red House, Boom, The Ice Bear's Cave and many more. Christopher story is about
him who is talented in Maths but people confuse him. Christopher finds a dead dog near his house and decides to solve the mystery even though he is
told to stop. Christopher Broone has become a different person in the novel but still is the same Christopher in some ways. He has experienced many
obstacles in a short time period which taught him much. Christopher has become more risk–taking and independant. One thing Christopher has always
been certain about what he says and does over the course of the novel. In The Curious...show more content...
There was not a time in the novel Christopher was uncertain. He is certain about what he says, his future and everything else. Broome is more
than certain that he likes things to be nice in order. "I said that I liked things to be in a nice order." (pg. 24, ch. 47) Christopher likes things to be in
a nice order. He is extremely certain when it comes to order. If thing don't go his way he will get mad. This was around the exposition but reading
the novel you realize that he remains this way. Further in the book, Christopher gives more evidence talking about his certain behavioral problems.
"Not liking yellow things or brown things and refusing to touch yellow things or brown things...not eating food if different sorts of food are touching
each other. (pg. 46, ch. 73) A few of his long list of behavioral problems are so certain that his Mother and Father can not handle it. Christophers
certainty makes him who he truly is. Some traits you are born with and cherish till the day you

The Most Embarrassing Incident in My Life
Life is full of unexpected incidents. Some anticipated stories do not happen the way we have always wanted. Some days, nights, ways and fights
keep repeating in our life. However, it can be pretty funny to look back to the past where many embarrassing moments occur in our days and nights,
leaving an abiding memory that cannot be possibly forgotten. The same goes to me as I'm one of the creatures created by God. Scientists call me
Homosapien but the world would rather address me as a human being. There are many embarrassing incidents in my life dictionary and most of them
are still playing in my mind. Oh, what a memory. There was one day when I accidentally humiliated myself in front of my friends in class. It is not

However, my expectation was wrong. The next day, I found a letter under my desk. It was in a pink envelope. Judging from the look of the hand
writing, I already knew that it was from Tyra. My heart beat faster unconsciously and my brain stopped functioning. I opened the letter and the last
words from it caught my attention. It said: I Do Not Have Any Feelings Towards You, Ben. The words broke my heart into pieces. At that particular
time, I was once again

A Funny Thing Happened Me
A funny thing happened to me when I was talked into my first guys' night out. I knew they were doing this out of pity because I know I'm a bit on
the nerdy side. This wasn't' the first time I've been asked, but something in me decided to do it. I've been going to work and home for nearly a
year now and the only thing close to celebrating my graduation from college is what kind of dog I wanted at the local pet store. When the boys'
night out schedule was mentioned, I decided what the heck, let use this to celebrate my graduation. No one else would ever think to recognize my
achievement, not even my father. Here I was a highly recruited, full scholarship Chemistry and Mathematics Prodigy, and my younger brother
could barely make it through a comic book, but had made it into the state's university. Believe it or not, he had received a full ride as well. If you
remembered the little hint about the comic book then it would be obvious how this miraculous achievement was accomplished. My little brother
was a stud football player and someone of his caliber disserve certain accommodations be made to insure his prospects after college are plentiful.
Oh, did I forget to say those are the exact words my father said to the caravan of busses full of recruiters who had a parade up and down my street
every day until my little brother chose which school he was to sign his promissory. Did I also forget to mention, my little brother was my father's pride
and joy from the

It's Kind Of A Funny Story Essay
Over 350 million people suffer from depression worldwide. It's Kind of a Funny Story, written by Ned Vizzini, is a realistic fiction novel about a
high schooler named Craig Gilner who struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts. This story was a great read and for multiple reasons. Vizzini
does a great job of making Craig, the protagonist, a very interesting character, and the novel itself is very relatable to anyone who is/was a student.
Craig has many intriguing qualities that are hard to ignore. Ned Vizzini does a fantastic job on making sure the main character is not the least yet
boring. Craig struggles with lots of depression, but he is more than just a depressed teenage male. He is crazy smart, which is shown in a variety of
ways, from his school to the way he thinks things out. To show, Craig wants to get his lady friend Noelle alone in his room, but Craig's roommate,
Muqtada, is in there. He lures Muqtada out of his room for the first time ever by playing his favorite kind of Egyptian music. Craig...show more

I awoke to the sound of the wind. No, it couldn't be, no wind on earth could create such a terrible din! It was like a cassette recording of the roar of a
lion, only copied and re–recorded several million times. The sound was dappled with occasional grinds and shrieks, too, which caused me to wince
whenever they reached my ears. Curious, I pried my eyes open and turned my head to the left. I nearly jumped sky–high in the air, for through the
jungle mist I spied a vacuum cleaner. It awkwardly rolled back and forth, smoke emanating from the underside. The user of this decrepit machine soon
appeared. Stumbling disjointedly through the undergrowth was a little old man. His appearance was no more impressive than that of his appliance. It

I stopped and closed my eyes, trying to isolate them from the vacuum's incessant growl. Suddenly, there was no man. There was no vacuum, they had
vanished into thin air. I called out, "Mister Oreck? Where are y–," instantly, the mist swallowed me, and I fell. Somehow the ground that had been in
front of me only a moment ago was gone. I tried to grab onto something, but it was hopeless. The voices I had heard earlier swelled again. I awoke
for the second time that day. This time, though, I was in what appeared to be an enormous auditorium, and I was standing. The hall had rows upon
rows of seats, stretching back so far that I couldn't see the back wall. Let me tell you, it is quite an odd experience to be falling and then suddenly
transported to somewhere else. My buddy Mr. Oreck was there, too, godforsaken vacuum in hand. "Welcome to Hell," he said, in a tone similar to
a Museum Guide's, "This first section here is for Infomercial Hosts like myself. Each of us must stay in an auditorium like this and host our
infomercials until the end of time. The problem is, the Hell I.T. Department rigged it so everything that could possibly go wrong goes wrong. Also,
all of the seats will be filled with The Audience, who laugh and jeer at us forever and ever. The auditorium we're in now is about to be occupied by
Mick and Mimi from the Magic Bullet Infomercial. We'd better get out of the way." Sure enough, there was a flash of light, and in an instant, the

A Horrific Incident Case Study
Carol, This is in reference with a horrific incident that happened on 6th and 7th at Francis house concerning a dedicated Direct Support Associate. It
is very sad that, three people can attack one defenseless person who is so dedicated. It has caused her distress and hope no serious further
complications. The recipients of this email is because everyone has at some point witnessed this horrendous incident. This matter is being brought to
you because, it has caused a lot of tension at Francis with both staff and clients who unfortunately witnessed and, is unbelievable that it could happen.
This has resulted to one individual who is always happy, and at the moment he has gone into depression mood. He will not socialize and is having a
hard time getting out of bed. He might be non–verbal but, he heard everything and is very close to staff who he trust due to taking good care of him.

understand how that abruptly happened. She got upset and came back to the house crying. DSM's never mentioned anything when they walked to the
house but, Zlata mentioned to me as her co–worker that they intended to move

A Humorous Journey
Sharon and Kristy, without your confidence, I did not have the courage to make the leap to the upgrade. I was afraid that I would lose the ring
forever and we had many wonderful years of living tied up in the history of our rings. You gave me courage and again I thank you. As Frank told
you, it is quite unusual for me to speak about myself or the events of our lives. I tend to be quiet and lead my life with as much grace and humility as
possible. I feel that is what God expects of me. I always give my best to others. However, to my surprise, reflecting on such a meaningful symbol of our
lives brought many memories and emotions to the surface. Among these memories was VPI and our love through college, the sunrise wedding high on
top of the mountain with the flat–top guitar playing John Denver's "Poems Prayers and Promises" and "Sunshine on Your Shoulders", and Bread's
"I'd Like To Make It With You", the words we scrolled and shared as our vows, the gentle breeze and the sunrise followed by Frank's parents driving
off a cliff on our wedding day, and the tears that were shed and the heartache that followed our beautiful moment in time, and then after the
heartbreaking accident having to take my grandfather, who had a stroke, to Pennsylvania on our wedding day....show more content...

Humorous Experience Essay
I was quite a rambunctious child, always getting myself into precarious situations; whether it was climbing trees, playing with matches, or running with
scissors. My actions did not reflect my parenting; my parents tried to teach me to be careful, unfortunately it took an unpleasant, but humorous
experience to teach me that lesson. I was three years old at the time and that day I decided to run through the house like a superhero. I pulled an
Atlanta Braves hat over my head for some odd reason and proceeded to start my mission. As I ran into the kitchen I felt something grab the corner of
my mouth and it completely stopped my momentum. It just so happens that a few minutes before my run, my mother opened the kitchen cabinet and
forgot to close

Humorous Experiences
Experiences I don't have a very dramatic life, but I guess everyone has a few experiences, big or small, that has made an impact on their lives. Every
day we all make decisions, both good and bad. Some changes are not ours to make. In this write–up I will be sharing previous experiences that made
the biggest impacts on me. Once in elementary I called my teacher lazy (not directly) and someone (no names mentioned) overheard and snitched.
My teacher called me out in the middle of the class and he was pretty disappointed and angry at me. He called my parents and had to talk to me
several times. That was partly my fault, although some of it wasn't me. First of all, it was none of the snitcher's business, and second, he was kind of
lazy because it was something he was supposed to do. Those few sentences led to almost half a year of hate from my teacher (he already hated me
anyway) but still, I'd rather not make things worse than they already were....show more content...
It's quite a complicated story why I did what I did. But anyway, I got mad at this one kid and punched him and he decided to snitch, which got both
of us in trouble. I had to go to the head coach's office with my mom. I learned a few things from this: for one, not to resort to violence, even if you
win you won't win in the long run. –From then on I didn't use much physical force to harm anyone. An experience in process is procrastination. I am
not a huge fan of homework, so sometimes I get lazy and leave things to the last minute. Slowly, I am learning to do homework on time. From every
late assignment, I am learning to work for the long–run and complete my homework on time. This experience isn't one time, but it is a long,
journey–type

My Most Embarrassing Moment Have you ever gotten a phone call that changed your outlook 180 degrees in one minute? Picture this: A tall, engaging,
brunette female is sitting in the cafeteria at her high school laughing and comparing ridiculous outfits with her peers. Suddenly, she gets the call and
her heart stops. She is mortified at what she must do next. Her mood has changed from happy–go–lucky to deeply disheartened. That disheartened
individual was actually me and the day I had to face the challenge of going to the orthodontist while looking like a whimsical trainwreck. That
particular Wednesday started off uneventfully. My Mom woke me up at 6:30 a.m. and I got dressed in an outfit that was supposed to promote the
excitement of homecoming. I looked in the mirror and laughed at how crazy my outfit looked. When I finally...show more content...
A 16–year–old should not be concerned with what others think. I learned to relax and enjoy each day after this particular embarrassing experience.
If I had not dressed up that day and participated in "Spirit Week," I would've never had the courage to talk to the boy that I had been crushing on
for months or gain a new friend. Three years have passed since this embarrassing, yet fun day. As I became older, I grew to not care about the
perspectives and opinions of other people. One of my life mottos relates to the lesson I learned that day: "When you do not seek or need approval,
you are at your most powerful." I know that there will be plenty of embarrassing moments to come throughout my life, but I am much more prepared
on how to handle these types of situations. If I happen to fall in front of a group of people, I will probably laugh at myself. I won't have to worry
about the negative thoughts or comments that those people may provide since I will most likely never see them

The Humorous Incidents That Changed My Life
Different situations require different reactions but sometimes the sad situations require the laughs and smiles because without them they will tear
you down. When you encounter a life altering situation you must be able to talk about it and learn to laugh or the darkness will plague you. My
great grandma was diagnosed with alzheimer's because of this she was put into the nursing home my mom worked at. This disease is heart
wrenching to watch especially for my grandmother, watching your mom deteriorated day by day forgetting who you are is tragic. Coming to visit a
welcoming home with yellow walls and knitted blanks draped on every seat fades to the one knit blanket draped on the cold mattress of a hospital
bed. This was something my grandmother went through everyday as she watched the person who gave her life slowly...show more content...
Laughing with them almost makes things feel like they used to. When my great grandma would ask for food then deny ever asking for it you had
to laugh. Instead of thinking abou the inability to remember you must think about the situation at hand and it's ok to laugh. When I was in sixth
grade I was hit by a car I had everything taken away for me from walking to running to playing soccer I was only 12 years old but my life has come
to a complete stop. One winter break my father decided to take me snowmobiling on this trip my life changed forever we were on our snowmobiles
on the highway when a car struck me going 50 miles an hour. Never will I forget my ambulance ride screaming in pain trying to figure out what
happened little did I know my life would never be the same. I spent many months in the hospital I had multiple surgeries I was left with half of the
skin burned off my face from scraping on the cement and a horribly broken leg. I acquired an eating disorder due to all the pain medicines and the
stress I was underweight before my accident at 70 pounds but then I lost about 20 pounds.

Why People Should Laugh Every Day? Essays
Why people should laugh every day? What makes people laugh? Well, many things. If I were to ask a person "What makes you laugh?" The person
may respond by saying "Something that is funny." What is considered "funny", one may ask. Humor can be defined as a comic, absurd, or incongruous
quality causing amusement (Dictionary.com). People laugh at different kinds of things, for different reasons. A person can find laughter in humorous
films, TV sitcoms, or friends' anecdotes. Furthermore, laughter is quite important, it is associated with good health and wellbeing, and it is truly the
best medicine and its benefits are far–ranging. It is estimate, according to UNICEF an average adult laughs about fifteen times a day, and an average

Humor eases one's troubles, it has the ability to make one forget about those difficulties and relax. So the next time you would like to forget about the
problems in your life, I propose you find laughter, because laughter cheers one up when life looks grim. Once you laugh you will the tension, and stress
drain out at you laugh. Laughter also has other health benefits such as boosting one's immune system. A healthier immune system means an overall
healthier individual. It is proven laughter can increase levels of health enhancing hormones. It is also said that laughter can increase the number of
immune cells and infection–fighting antibodies and in addition enhance the effectiveness of T–Cells. Additionally, laughter does not only enhance one's
immune system, it also has other physical benefits. Laughter also improves memory. Have you ever wondered why advertisers spend millions of
dollars and countless amounts of hours trying to come up with humorous ads? It is because humor works greatly to their advantage. A funny ad which
induces the audience to laugh fixates in their head. Advertisers have a better chance of getting the viewer to buy their product when their commercial
is funny. To add, humor in a weird and wonderful way makes things memorable. People can recollect hilarious moments. For instance,a person can
recall a time when his friend was viciously harassed by a chicken. Laughing at such an incident, would likely make the individual

Personal Essay: A Humorous Incident Analysis
When I first countered this question, I could thought of many things which matter to me most like my family, my friends, living a life according to my
own choices without playing blame games. Next day, when 1Aleppo came under the Syrian Army I couldn't fathom the atrocities being committed on
innocent lives. This incident provoked me to write my thoughts on facebook after a long period of time, texting my friends that we will organize a
charity event or solidarity march. It was this moment that I realized that helping people out of problems whenever possible, taking a stand for known–
unknown strangers matter most to me. I don't want to sound pessimistic but I am not hopeful regarding the future of this world– wars, endemic

Most Traumatizing Experiences

  • 1. Most Traumatizing Experiences One of the most traumatizing experiences in my life, was when I was nine years old. I was sitting in my room, then heard a really loud knocking on the door. I heard sirens coming from outside, so I looked out the window and saw nothing but flashing lights. I try to run into the living room to see what was going on, but my mom was trying to block the view. Then seeing Police flood into my house, jerking my older brother off of the cough. They put him into the back of the cruiser and took him to the Police Station. My parents confused, why he was being arrested. They found out that he had gotten into trouble with drugs and theft. Not having the best of influences growing up in my household, with a sibling who did not make the best of choices Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Personal Narrative Essay : A Funny Day At School I remember one incredibly funny day from last year. It was the day I fell through the glass display case at school. Boy, I tell you that sucked so bad. I know for a fact I'll never live it down. I'm known for being pretty accident prone so it was no surprise to people when they found out I was the one who had left the blood stain in the hallway. I was walking back from lunch with my friend Matt, we were telling each other jokes about dead babies. I looked over and saw my little brother, I turned to Matt and said "watch this" then I ran up to my brother and tried to do a jumping high five. He didn't think I was trying to high five him he thought I was trying to hit him. Out of instinct he pushed me away and I fell backwards, I landed and pivoted on the ball of my left foot. I thought I had gotten away safe and clear, I went to take a step and BAM! I had been tripped by my own untied shoelace, betrayed by my own apparel. I fell backwards and expected to hit lockers, unfortunately it wasn't lockers or even a door. I had crashed into the glass display case, oh the utter humility. I hit the ground and leaned up on one arm, I was fine, not a scratch. Mrs. Wright come running up in total mom mode " Oh my God, are you alright, AHH, don't move!". " No it's okay I can get up, they are pretty big pieces, I can crawl around them". " No sweety don't get up". I looked at her and asked " Mrs. Wright is there a piece in me?". She gulped and said "Yes". Total internal breakdown but I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Scary Story Essay example Scary Story I looked up at the black sky. I hadn't intended to be out this late. The sun had set, and the empty road ahead had no streetlights. I knew I was in for a dark journey home. I had decided that by traveling through the forest would be the quickest way home. Minutes passed, yet it seemed like hours and days. The farther I traveled into the forest, the darker it seemed to get. I was very had to even take a breath due to the stifling air. The only sound familiar to me was the quickening beat of my own heart, which felt as though it was about to come through my chest. I began to whistled to take my mind off the eerie noises I was hearing. In this kind of darkness I was in, it was hard for me to believe that I could be...show more content... I took a glance around and found myself looking right into a pair of dark, glassy eyes peering at me through the bushes. I knew I was not seeing things at that moment. Were those the evil eyes of a goblin lurking waiting for it's next meal? My breath became too rapid for me to be able to whistle. I took a big gulp and decided to step on it and quicken my pace. I would never get home at this rate. The same moment I decided to quicken my speed, a deer burst through the night. I screamed, stumbled and hit the ground with a loud thump. I sat on the moist ground for a moment to try to recover but my heart began to throb as if it was beating within my throat. It was just a deer I told myself, I had to be brave. Trying to get myself together I began to feel this hot puffs of air on the back of my neck. "It's the goblin!" I screamed as I rapidly rose to my feet. My head spun like an owl as I went to look for what was behind me. I looked to the ground and discovered a little white dog. "You scared me to death little guy. What is a cute little puppy like you doing in a dense forest like this?" I said to him. I was relieved it was only a dog instead of the ghastly goblin, but I only made it half–way home by then. As I proceeded on the white little dog followed me. I felt more at ease now that I had him following me but he would not be considered much of a watch dog to most Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 5. The Curious Incident Essay Have you ever changed a lot over time or have you always stayed the same? Everyone changes or doesn't in different ways. "We cannot become what we want by remaining what we are." – Max Depree. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night–Time is written by the famous Mark Haddon. Some of the other books by Mark Haddon are; The Spot of Bother, The Red House, Boom, The Ice Bear's Cave and many more. Christopher story is about him who is talented in Maths but people confuse him. Christopher finds a dead dog near his house and decides to solve the mystery even though he is told to stop. Christopher Broone has become a different person in the novel but still is the same Christopher in some ways. He has experienced many obstacles in a short time period which taught him much. Christopher has become more risk–taking and independant. One thing Christopher has always been certain about what he says and does over the course of the novel. In The Curious...show more content... There was not a time in the novel Christopher was uncertain. He is certain about what he says, his future and everything else. Broome is more than certain that he likes things to be nice in order. "I said that I liked things to be in a nice order." (pg. 24, ch. 47) Christopher likes things to be in a nice order. He is extremely certain when it comes to order. If thing don't go his way he will get mad. This was around the exposition but reading the novel you realize that he remains this way. Further in the book, Christopher gives more evidence talking about his certain behavioral problems. "Not liking yellow things or brown things and refusing to touch yellow things or brown things...not eating food if different sorts of food are touching each other. (pg. 46, ch. 73) A few of his long list of behavioral problems are so certain that his Mother and Father can not handle it. Christophers certainty makes him who he truly is. • 6. The Most Embarrassing Incident in My Life Life is full of unexpected incidents. Some anticipated stories do not happen the way we have always wanted. Some days, nights, ways and fights keep repeating in our life. However, it can be pretty funny to look back to the past where many embarrassing moments occur in our days and nights, leaving an abiding memory that cannot be possibly forgotten. The same goes to me as I'm one of the creatures created by God. Scientists call me Homosapien but the world would rather address me as a human being. There are many embarrassing incidents in my life dictionary and most of them are still playing in my mind. Oh, what a memory. There was one day when I accidentally humiliated myself in front of my friends in class. It is not that I was doing...show more content... However, my expectation was wrong. The next day, I found a letter under my desk. It was in a pink envelope. Judging from the look of the hand writing, I already knew that it was from Tyra. My heart beat faster unconsciously and my brain stopped functioning. I opened the letter and the last words from it caught my attention. It said: I Do Not Have Any Feelings Towards You, Ben. The words broke my heart into pieces. At that particular time, I was once again Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. A Funny Thing Happened Me A funny thing happened to me when I was talked into my first guys' night out. I knew they were doing this out of pity because I know I'm a bit on the nerdy side. This wasn't' the first time I've been asked, but something in me decided to do it. I've been going to work and home for nearly a year now and the only thing close to celebrating my graduation from college is what kind of dog I wanted at the local pet store. When the boys' night out schedule was mentioned, I decided what the heck, let use this to celebrate my graduation. No one else would ever think to recognize my achievement, not even my father. Here I was a highly recruited, full scholarship Chemistry and Mathematics Prodigy, and my younger brother could barely make it through a comic book, but had made it into the state's university. Believe it or not, he had received a full ride as well. If you remembered the little hint about the comic book then it would be obvious how this miraculous achievement was accomplished. My little brother was a stud football player and someone of his caliber disserve certain accommodations be made to insure his prospects after college are plentiful. Oh, did I forget to say those are the exact words my father said to the caravan of busses full of recruiters who had a parade up and down my street every day until my little brother chose which school he was to sign his promissory. Did I also forget to mention, my little brother was my father's pride and joy from the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 9. I awoke to the sound of the wind. No, it couldn't be, no wind on earth could create such a terrible din! It was like a cassette recording of the roar of a lion, only copied and re–recorded several million times. The sound was dappled with occasional grinds and shrieks, too, which caused me to wince whenever they reached my ears. Curious, I pried my eyes open and turned my head to the left. I nearly jumped sky–high in the air, for through the jungle mist I spied a vacuum cleaner. It awkwardly rolled back and forth, smoke emanating from the underside. The user of this decrepit machine soon appeared. Stumbling disjointedly through the undergrowth was a little old man. His appearance was no more impressive than that of his appliance. It ...show more content... I stopped and closed my eyes, trying to isolate them from the vacuum's incessant growl. Suddenly, there was no man. There was no vacuum, they had vanished into thin air. I called out, "Mister Oreck? Where are y–," instantly, the mist swallowed me, and I fell. Somehow the ground that had been in front of me only a moment ago was gone. I tried to grab onto something, but it was hopeless. The voices I had heard earlier swelled again. I awoke for the second time that day. This time, though, I was in what appeared to be an enormous auditorium, and I was standing. The hall had rows upon rows of seats, stretching back so far that I couldn't see the back wall. Let me tell you, it is quite an odd experience to be falling and then suddenly transported to somewhere else. My buddy Mr. Oreck was there, too, godforsaken vacuum in hand. "Welcome to Hell," he said, in a tone similar to a Museum Guide's, "This first section here is for Infomercial Hosts like myself. Each of us must stay in an auditorium like this and host our infomercials until the end of time. The problem is, the Hell I.T. Department rigged it so everything that could possibly go wrong goes wrong. Also, all of the seats will be filled with The Audience, who laugh and jeer at us forever and ever. The auditorium we're in now is about to be occupied by Mick and Mimi from the Magic Bullet Infomercial. We'd better get out of the way." Sure enough, there was a flash of light, and in an instant, the millions of seats Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. A Horrific Incident Case Study Carol, This is in reference with a horrific incident that happened on 6th and 7th at Francis house concerning a dedicated Direct Support Associate. It is very sad that, three people can attack one defenseless person who is so dedicated. It has caused her distress and hope no serious further complications. The recipients of this email is because everyone has at some point witnessed this horrendous incident. This matter is being brought to you because, it has caused a lot of tension at Francis with both staff and clients who unfortunately witnessed and, is unbelievable that it could happen. This has resulted to one individual who is always happy, and at the moment he has gone into depression mood. He will not socialize and is having a hard time getting out of bed. He might be non–verbal but, he heard everything and is very close to staff who he trust due to taking good care of him. Every shift change since 6th, especially 7th, every DSA is asking what going on with him and the story keeps repeating. She got upset and came back to the house crying. • 11. A Humorous Journey Sharon and Kristy, without your confidence, I did not have the courage to make the leap to the upgrade. I was afraid that I would lose the ring forever and we had many wonderful years of living tied up in the history of our rings. You gave me courage and again I thank you. As Frank told you, it is quite unusual for me to speak about myself or the events of our lives. I tend to be quiet and lead my life with as much grace and humility as possible. I feel that is what God expects of me. I always give my best to others. However, to my surprise, reflecting on such a meaningful symbol of our lives brought many memories and emotions to the surface. Among these memories was VPI and our love through college, the sunrise wedding high on top of the mountain with the flat–top guitar playing John Denver's "Poems Prayers and Promises" and "Sunshine on Your Shoulders", and Bread's "I'd Like To Make It With You", the words we scrolled and shared as our vows, the gentle breeze and the sunrise followed by Frank's parents driving off a cliff on our wedding day, and the tears that were shed and the heartache that followed our beautiful moment in time, and then after the heartbreaking accident having to take my grandfather, who had a stroke, to Pennsylvania on our wedding day....show more content... • 12. Humorous Experience Essay I was quite a rambunctious child, always getting myself into precarious situations; whether it was climbing trees, playing with matches, or running with scissors. My actions did not reflect my parenting; my parents tried to teach me to be careful, unfortunately it took an unpleasant, but humorous experience to teach me that lesson. I was three years old at the time and that day I decided to run through the house like a superhero. I pulled an Atlanta Braves hat over my head for some odd reason and proceeded to start my mission. As I ran into the kitchen I felt something grab the corner of my mouth and it completely stopped my momentum. It just so happens that a few minutes before my run, my mother opened the kitchen cabinet and forgot to close Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Humorous Experiences Experiences I don't have a very dramatic life, but I guess everyone has a few experiences, big or small, that has made an impact on their lives. Every day we all make decisions, both good and bad. Some changes are not ours to make. In this write–up I will be sharing previous experiences that made the biggest impacts on me. Once in elementary I called my teacher lazy (not directly) and someone (no names mentioned) overheard and snitched. My teacher called me out in the middle of the class and he was pretty disappointed and angry at me. He called my parents and had to talk to me several times. That was partly my fault, although some of it wasn't me. First of all, it was none of the snitcher's business, and second, he was kind of lazy because it was something he was supposed to do. Those few sentences led to almost half a year of hate from my teacher (he already hated me anyway) but still, I'd rather not make things worse than they already were....show more content... It's quite a complicated story why I did what I did. But anyway, I got mad at this one kid and punched him and he decided to snitch, which got both of us in trouble. I had to go to the head coach's office with my mom. I learned a few things from this: for one, not to resort to violence, even if you win you won't win in the long run. –From then on I didn't use much physical force to harm anyone. An experience in process is procrastination. I am not a huge fan of homework, so sometimes I get lazy and leave things to the last minute. Slowly, I am learning to do homework on time. From every late assignment, I am learning to work for the long–run and complete my homework on time. This experience isn't one time, but it is a long, journey–type Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. My Most Embarrassing Moment Have you ever gotten a phone call that changed your outlook 180 degrees in one minute? Picture this: A tall, engaging, brunette female is sitting in the cafeteria at her high school laughing and comparing ridiculous outfits with her peers. Suddenly, she gets the call and her heart stops. She is mortified at what she must do next. Her mood has changed from happy–go–lucky to deeply disheartened. That disheartened individual was actually me and the day I had to face the challenge of going to the orthodontist while looking like a whimsical trainwreck. That particular Wednesday started off uneventfully. My Mom woke me up at 6:30 a.m. and I got dressed in an outfit that was supposed to promote the excitement of homecoming.
