Clean A Car Clean Car
If you own a car that is getting dirty you may be looking for a way to learn how to clean a car. Believe it or not, cleaning a car is actually a lot
easier than you might think. However, if you do not clean a car properly then you will not get the most out of the time that you spend cleaning
your car. Many people think that it is only important to clean the outside of a car. The fact of the matter is that it is important to clean both the
inside,or interior, as well as the outside of a car. To start off, you should clean the exterior of your car. It will help if you have a hose that you can use
to clean a car with because you 're going to need a lot of water. To start off, just spray down your car with a general spray of water. This will get you
started on your way to having a sparkling clean car. After you have sprayed your car down with water you are ready to move onto the next step of
cleaning your car. The next step of cleaning your car involves putting soap on your car. If youwant to, you can purchase automotive soap from your
local auto store. It is extremely important for you to spend at least five minutes covering your car entirely with soap. After your car is covered with
soap you can spray down your car with your hose. This will allow you to wash off any soap that may exist on your car. If you want to learn how to
clean the car you must realize that you might have to do a little bit of dirty work. Even after putting soap on your car, there may be some dirty spots

In times like theses, environmental concerns such as clean water, air pollution, wildfire and the like should be put on the back burner so that the
economy can grow and we can create more jobs. From time to time, economic, environment, and political issues are treated with a different level of
severity but more importantly they are treated separately. It is as if the three types of issue are of different entities. However what most failed to realize
is that all those issues are interconnected on different levels: any environmental threat neglected will impact the earth, the primary residence of human
beings, and the political or economical issue created affect the live of us human being. Thus, every decision made should ensure that all factors are
taking into account and with that comes the question: should environmental concerns such as clean water, air pollution, wildlife be put on the back
burner so that economy can grow and create more jobs? The clear answer to this question is simply no because this solution's aim is to better the
economy's growth and it will lead to a growth but only a short term one as oppose to the more preferable stable long term economic growth and this
paper will highlights the reasoning behind this claim.
Before going any further, let us first examine the basis of most countries' economy and the factors that partake in the overall long–term growth of an
economy. In general, there are two types of factors that influence the economic development

We Must Protect the Clean Water Act Essay
The Clean Water Act has made advances to our society that have helped our environment to flourish with life. The objective of the Act when it was
enacted in 1972 was to restore and maintain the chemical, physical, and biological integrity of the Nation's water. This objective was accompanied
by other statutory goals to eliminate the discharge of pollutants into waters used by boats by 1985 and to attain waters deemed "fishable or
swimmable" by 1983. So far, the Act has done exactly what it was meant to do. Its purpose is being served and we our benefiting with clean water.

The intent of the of the Clean Water ActAmendments of 1995 is to increase flexibility on businesses, States, local governments, and landowners.
This increase in flexibility is meant to relax some regulations dealing with the discharge of wastes and stormwater into waterways, authority of States to
rely on voluntary measures to control nonpoint source pollution, limit Federal authority to restrict land use in wetlands, and require the Federal
Government to reimburse landowners for loss of property value resulting from wetlands regulations. All of these measures will make it easier for
toxins to be thrown into our drinking water by businesses with no remorse.
This bill is supposedly supposed to help our environment, but it seems to me that this bill is driven by political and economic interests, rather than the
well being of our environment. Why should we be more linient in the protection of our water so a business may have a place to dump its wastes in.
Rather, we should enforce the protection of our water so that businesses are forced to go elsewhere with their wastes. Our water is far to valuable for
it to be polluted and toxicated with whatever it is being dumped into it. Our water is sacred to use for its value in public and economic health and the
enactment of this bill will devastate this goal we strive for.

Abstract On Water Pollution
Abstract Water pollution is one of most rapidly growing problems occurring today. It is responsible for more than million deaths worldwide. The
Industrial Revolution was the catalyst that sparked several types of pollution, air, water, and noise, to become more apparent in our society because of
the developments of factories, trains, and cars. Rivers were getting polluted by sewage and the air by carbon monoxide and lead. This pushed the
government to take affirmative action against pollution by creating the Pollution Prevention Act and 1972 Clean water Act. Several other acts were
made to help clean the environment. Simple solutions to combat water pollution includes, carpooling, ending the use of pesticides and fertilizers, and
stop littering.
3 "Water and air, the two essential fluids on which all life depends, have become global garbage cans." ― Jacques–Yves Cousteau Over the years this
statement has become very true. Today, developing countries like India use their rivers to dump their sewage waste not realizing the last–longing
effects. This research paper will go into depth in water pollution, detailing the history, types, and sources of water pollution as well as the possible
solutions to how to combat this problem and what governments around the world are doing to fix this issue.

Safe Care Environment Paper
The research studies reviewed all share a common theme that staffing and patient care make a safe care environment. The patient safety conditions all
are enhanced by adequate staffing and nurse retention. Nursing turnover leads to reduced staffing and affects the patient's outcomes and overall
satisfaction. The point of agreement is that nurse staffing and the environment has a positive effect on patient safety, outcomes, and satisfaction. Nurse
Outcomes in MagnetВ® and Non–Magnet Hospitals uniquely address that the Magnet hospitals have their class of performance which sets them apart
from non–magnet facilities that can also influence the nurse satisfaction and retention issues (Kelly, McHugh & Aiken, 2011). The study specifically
addresses nurse work environments as the cause of retention that leads to improved patient outcomes (Kelly, McHugh & Aiken, 2011). Hospitals...show

The limitations could be the generalizability and the absolute certainty to say that this will work for all nursing environments. The sample sizes vary
and can be small in one of the studies. The methods of the research are interviews and another subjective sampling, however; this is the only means to
assess the situation which is at hand completely. The studies do not address how to correct or adapt a non–magnet hospital to perform in a more nurse
friendly manner to address the nurse environment. They further do not expand on any attempts at correction these hospitals have taken to improve the
environment. The articles address the issue of Magnet status and staffing and how they impact the issue of patient safety, satisfaction, and outcomes.
They support the question that adequate nurse staffing affects the results of the patient as well as the ability of the hospital to retain nurses the

Keeping the Environment Clean
We are supposed to take care of this planet, but are we doing so? We are not doing much. The little effort put into recycling or other small things is not
enough. We must make severe changes, especially with all the gas consumption for cars or all the fuel smokes from industries that affect our
environment. This must stop now! The rate of global warming is increasing rapidly and we must slow it down before it is too late. We must take action
now and save our world.

Learning to use energy the right ways involves turning off the lights, the TV, and the stereo every time you leave a room. Another way is to use fans
during the summer when it isn't too hot yet instead of just using energy with the air conditioner.
As students we can also help in simple ways like recycling paper, glass, plastic, and aluminum. All of these things will reduce the amount of fossil
fuels used and help keep the amount of carbon dioxide released into the air at a minimum. Another way to reduce carbon dioxide is by planting
millions of new trees all over the world. Since trees reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the air and add oxygen, planting them can do nothing but
help. Locally, the government along with other non–government organizations are also promoting this plans of tree–planting that will help our mother
earth.
Something else that can be done is find new energy sources. There are many energy sources that are clean, safe, and renewable. Solar, wind,
geothermal power, and nuclear power are all other sources of energy. We have to find ways in which we can harness these natural energy sources so
that we can use them instead of burning fossil fuels. These are just many ways in which we can reduce the carbon dioxide in our atmosphere by half.
The country has already discovered a lot if locations here in the Philippines wherein we can be able to get our renewable resources plus, we'll be able
to lessen our import of fuels. We

Fast Cars and a Clean Environment Essay
Fast Cars and a Clean Environment
Many people would love the idea of having the fastest car ever or just having a speedy and sleek sports car to drive around for that matter. The idea of
being able to "flex" the power of your car every time the light turns green make people long for a high–speed car. Many automakers are making faster
and faster or cars with more horsepower for this demand. For instance, BMW's E36 (1996– 1999) M3 models peaked at an amazing 234 horsepower
and 226 pounds per feet of torque, but this wasn't enough for many BMW enthusiasts. So in 2001 BMW came out with its E46 M3 model that housed
an astonishing 333 horsepower and 270 pounds per feet of torque engine, which is an increase of almost 100 horsepower from the...show more content...

Types of Engines: Internal Combustion Engines (4–stroke piston combustion)
Most, if not all cars on the road today, are powered by some variation of a four stroke internal combustion engine. Invented by Nikolaus Otto in
1867, a four stroke internal combustion engine powers a car by first taking in oxygen from the external air and mixing it with a small drop of
gasoline into a small chamber(2). A piston also located inside that chamber takes the gas and air mixture and compresses it to form a more powerful
reaction and is ignited by a spark plug. The energy from the explosion of the gasoline and air pushes the piston downwards and turns the cam which
ultimately rotates the wheels. After the explosion, the combusted air is released into the exhaust pipe which then goes to the outside air. The engine is
then ready to restart the whole cycle again: taking in new air, compressing it, combusting it and releasing the combusted air into the exhaust pipe. This
process is basically repeated over and over to keep the wheels spinning and the car moving.
Although internal combustion engines are what powers most cars on the road today, its efficiency is very low. An average combustion engine today is
only able to convert 20% of the thermal energy content of gasoline into doing mechanical work (3). Most of the energy is lost to heat which

Abstract On Environmental Pollution
Abstract
Environmental pollution is anything that can cause harm to the environment. Pollution is any undesired alteration of the environment and is often
caused by human activities (Mader, 2016, pg. 552). Types of human pollution would be air, water, soil, radioactive, thermal, noise, and light. Each of
these forms of pollution has been known to cause the enormous amount of concern for the environment. There are laws in place now that are limiting
pollution and to help control the issue. Environmental pollution is a serious problem we are facing globally. It is the debate concerning pollution,
which we have been pondering for the past century. Prior to the industrial revolution, scientists thought that the atmosphere was untouched by
man–made pollutants until they found air bubbles hidden in the core of Greenland's ice shelf (Stromberg). After finding this essential development,
scientist began to reconsider the initial cause of pollution and how to decrease the lasting effects of it. With this discovery, pollution was traced back
to Ancient Rome and it was decided that globally we needed a new approach for dealing with this problem. There are numerous types of pollution and
they each have a devastating effect on the global climate. A scientist has been working on ways to re–direct the negative effects of pollution and at the
same time encourage people to try to find ways to do that part to help with this effort. We all can find some way to improve the world and decrease
pollution.
The problems with air pollution seem to be one of the largest most discussed situations. The Natural Resource Defense Council (NRDC) air pollution
is the release of pollutants into the air that is damaging human health and world. There are many forms of air pollution and smog and soot are two of
them. These two are discussed more when dissecting this problem due to them being the most common forms of air position, which are also the most
detrimental of them all. When the sunlight and emissions from fossil fuels interact that is how smog is created. The creation of soot formed from
smoke, dust, allergens and other particles are spread throughout the air in gas or solid form. Methane is also a huge component of the

Essay about Renewable and Clean Energy
As these days global warming, pollutions and fuel shortages are getting more and more serious through time, renewable and clean energy is
increasingly the ideal solution to energy related problems we have to solve one way or another. Biofuel is currently one of the mainstream and
highly supported solutions, an idea to make renewable fuel by living organisms such as fiber, corn, vegetable oil or sugarcane. Biofuels, unlike
nonrenewable fossil fuels over extracted by people, contains the potential to tackle most of the problems people encounter when using fossil fuels.
This makes renewable fuels making it a cleaner source of energy, and a better option than fossil fuels that will ran out shortly sooner or later. The two
main categories in...show more content...
The second part of the essay will discuss some of the weaknesses in applying the fuel into practical usage. For example, corn ethanol is currently
encountering technical limitations serving it as a standalone fuel, meaning that corn ethanol can only function by combining it with a certain amount
of gasoline, while gasoline is a kind of fossil fuel. Finally, this essay will conduct a comparison with other renewable resources in the world,
including solar power, other biofuels, and hydrogen fuel. The most noticeable advantage of corn fuel as an enhancement of fossil fuels is also the
biggest advantage of ethanol energy a renewable fuel. Gasoline as a fuel is extracted from petroleum, and what makes petroleum an unreliable source
of energy is that petroleum is nonrenewable, meaning it would run out some day in the future. Contrary, corn ethanol is a renewable source of energy,
meaning if corns are replanted and remade into fuel, corn ethanol can be a long–term, sustainable energy source (gracelinks.org). Corn ethanol has the
potential to produce a perfect solution of the energy crisis that will happen sooner or later, as experts predicted petroleum will run out in around fifty
years (Gupta,p15). Another main benefit of corn fuel as the future fuel is that the

Caring About Our Environment Essay
Caring About Our Environment
Improving and maintaining the earth's environment is becoming a more important task every day of our lives. Due to ignorance and frequent
carelessness, this important task is quickly becoming a critical one. For this reason, I took it upon myself to construct a strategic plan to enlighten my
peers to the problems of our environment. I did this in hopes that it would encourage everyone to act responsibly towards improving and maintaining
the environment. With ongoing threats to the earth's water supply, atmosphere, and surface, I found it necessary to devise a method of environmental
enlightenment. I plan to apply this method at my place of academic study, The University. If supported by the faculty...show more content...
I recently discovered that one cheeseburger takes more than 700 gallons of water to produce (includes water consumed by cows, water used to irrigate
the cornfields that feed the cows, and the water used to produce the beef and cheese). When considering the millions of cheeseburgers that are
consumed worldwide everyday, it is evident that the earth's water supply is declining rapidly. Due to air pollution, theozone layer is also being
consumed at an extreme rate. Its arch nemesis is the various fumes from cars and factories. Scientists estimate that each 1% drop in ozone levels
causes a 3 to 6% rise in skin cancer cases. Since the ozone layer prevents most ultraviolet and other high–energy radiation from penetrating to the
earth's surface, this is a crisis that has to be rectified. The ozone's depletion has dropped to a level so thin that if we brought it down to Earth, it would
only be as deep as the thickness of three dimes. The only positive outlook concerning this matter is that the ozone has the ability to reconstruct itself
when UV–C rays break the bond of O2. Single oxygen atoms combine with O2 to form ozone (UV–B rays limit this process still yet). This evidence
shows that the world is in dire need of an environmental resurrection. In order for this to occur and be successful, it would require an effort by every
individual nation of our world.
My resolution requires that The University of South Carolina

Responsibility Of Environmental Responsibility
Today in our world we don't seem to care about what happens to our planet. We are just continuing to pollute, destroy ecosystems, and deplete our
natural resources, and so much more to harm our environment. But what is anyone doing to stop this to save our environment? All of his conflict and
problems we are bringing onto our selves, which will only continue to get worse and worse if we don't take action now. It is important to know that
humans must have a relationship with our planet in order to not destroy it, also known as environmental responsibility.
What exactly is environmental responsibility? There really isn't an exact definition since there are many ways people look at the situation. But one of
the interpretations of the definition is that environmental responsibly is the "obligation of decision makers to take actions which protect and improve the
environment as a whole, along with their own interests," according to the University of Pretorie. But my personal view of the subject at hand is,
it's one responsibly or duty to take care, help improve and rebuild any past and future damages we have or will on our environment. Fixing our past
actions will help us repair our damaged environment, and prepare us for any future conflict. . But why is it important to have environmental
responsibility? It's important since all of the resources we are using and the way we are using them today, are either constructing or razing the world
of tomorrow. So, we have to construct sustainability in order to secure we have enough resources, and make sure we don't run out of them in the
future. First let me start with the basics. I know you have heard of how we are polluting our environment. It has existed in the air, water, and soil for
thousands of years, and all this pollution in our environment can cause many problems such as diseases such as cancer. We need to take drastic
measures to stop all of this pollution in our environment. We can start using clean energy in our everyday lives. Instead of using gas to power our cars,
in the future we may switch to electric cars. Since cars are one of the main contributors to the air pollution in our environment. We can reduce the
amount of runoff in our water systems by

Water is also undesirable in biogas stream to the engines since it is responsible for the corrosion effects. It also reacts with carbon dioxide to form

Siloxanes are silica compounds which are derive from the anaerobic digestion of materials such as household waste and municipal wastewater.
Siloxanes presence in biogas is extremely undesirable, since they react with oxygen at high temperatures and form silica dioxide (SiO2), which gets

Factors Affecting the Biogas Generation
Temperature and Pressure
Fermentation Temperature will greatly affect biogas production. Methane can be produced within a fairly wide range of temperature. Methane
forming anaerobic bacteria works best in the temperature between 29В°C to 41В°C or between 49В°C to 60В°C and pressure of about 1.1 to 1.2 bars
absolute. The temperature between 32В°C–35В°C are most efficient for stable and continuous production of methane. Biogas produced outside this
range will have a higher percentage of carbon dioxide and other gases. The production of biogas is fastest during summer and it decreases at lower
temperature during winter. At 20В°C the rate

Importance Of Protecting The Environment Essay
Our environment undoubtedly has many things we can use to benefit our everyday lives. Even if our environment is not in tip–top shape, we need to
start taking care of it better. If we don't many things will happen. These things include plants dying, animals going extinct, air becoming polluted, coral
reefs dying, and water rapidly coming contaminated. Another problem our environment has to face, overcome, or adapt too is Global Warming. Global
Warming has and will continue to impact our environment worldwide if we do not begin taking immediate action and do something to protect our
environment.
Protecting our environment is indeed the first action that should be taken. Protecting the environment should take place locally and globally in my
opinion. There are many things that our local environment could do that would have have a tremendous impact on our environment that genuinely
would not take oodles of effort. A few of these could be as easy as recycling soda cans, old school or work papers, and glass bottles and taking them
to a local recycling center. When you recycle you are reusing things or making them into new things. Two more examples would be hosting or
participating in a highway clean up, or planting a community garden at a park. Globally, humans are responsible for Greenhouse Gasses, pollution, and
fossil fuel shortages. Globally, if everyone pitched in just a little bit, greenhouse gas emissions could go down drastically. The way we could cut these

Environmental Pollution In The US Today
Earth, home to the beauty of blue skies and clear waters, and bearer of each delicate life form, from the moss floating atop rivers, to the lions that
prowl the mesa deserts; however, Earth is also home to the most destructive life form, humans. People reap the fruit of the Earth and bask in the beauty
of nature, yet for generations, the efforts to protect the environment have only declined. The pollution that is wrought upon the environment every day
is too often ignored for "more important" issues, such as poverty or crime; however, protecting the literal soil that people dwell on is just as vital as
patrolling the society in which they live. Environmental pollution is a growing issue in the U.S. today, caused primarily by the lack of public concern
or caution, harmful chemicals used by manufacturers and farmers, and lack of government enforcement or intervention. To begin with, the energy
wasted out of pure negligence while performing daily tasks and activities wreaks havoc on the environment, greatly contributing to this issue.
Fortunately, more often than not, excessive waste can easily be avoided altogether by being conscious of what is necessary, and what's just luxury.
However, the extra couple of seconds that it takes to flip off a light switch or turn down a faucet often proves to be too inconvenient of a task for
many individuals. By far, unnecessary use of electricity is the biggest energy waster among the general population. While one may believe they don't

resources, recycling, and finding new ways to produce energy. They state that one person in the world does not make a large difference. In reality, each
individual's contribution greatly affects our environment. Our natural resources are slowly disappearing, and we must work together to save them and

It seems like a small, insignificant action, but the way I see it, I save money on trash bags while getting a second use out of the plastic bags. Some
people would just throw away the bags and buy new trash bags, but doing that would send double the plastic bags to be filled in a landfill. Another
simple way to reduce landfill size and preserve resources is to refill water bottles. By refilling water bottles, people save a considerable amount of
energy and natural resources by not having to purchase single serve bottles, which are made of nonrenewable petroleum. Additionally, the plastic
manufacturing process is associated with toxic byproducts. Most people are reluctant to refill their water bottles because they assume that tap water
is not as ?clean? as bottled water. That is a common misconception, however. In 2000, a study in The Archives of Family Medicine compared 57
samples of bottled water to the tap water in Cleveland and found that while 39 samples of the bottled water were cleaner than tap, more than a dozen
had at least 10 times the bacterial levels found in the city's water. Tap water is often better regulated than bottled water and has to meet more stringent
health standards at both the federal and local levels. According to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protections (NJDEP) Solid Waste

How to Clean a Car Inside and Out

  • 1. Clean A Car Clean Car If you own a car that is getting dirty you may be looking for a way to learn how to clean a car. Believe it or not, cleaning a car is actually a lot easier than you might think. However, if you do not clean a car properly then you will not get the most out of the time that you spend cleaning your car. Many people think that it is only important to clean the outside of a car. The fact of the matter is that it is important to clean both the inside,or interior, as well as the outside of a car. To start off, you should clean the exterior of your car. It will help if you have a hose that you can use to clean a car with because you 're going to need a lot of water. To start off, just spray down your car with a general spray of water. This will get you started on your way to having a sparkling clean car. After you have sprayed your car down with water you are ready to move onto the next step of cleaning your car. The next step of cleaning your car involves putting soap on your car. If youwant to, you can purchase automotive soap from your local auto store. It is extremely important for you to spend at least five minutes covering your car entirely with soap. After your car is covered with soap you can spray down your car with your hose. This will allow you to wash off any soap that may exist on your car. If you want to learn how to clean the car you must realize that you might have to do a little bit of dirty work. Even after putting soap on your car, there may be some dirty spots Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. In times like theses, environmental concerns such as clean water, air pollution, wildfire and the like should be put on the back burner so that the economy can grow and we can create more jobs. From time to time, economic, environment, and political issues are treated with a different level of severity but more importantly they are treated separately. It is as if the three types of issue are of different entities. However what most failed to realize is that all those issues are interconnected on different levels: any environmental threat neglected will impact the earth, the primary residence of human beings, and the political or economical issue created affect the live of us human being. Thus, every decision made should ensure that all factors are taking into account and with that comes the question: should environmental concerns such as clean water, air pollution, wildlife be put on the back burner so that economy can grow and create more jobs? The clear answer to this question is simply no because this solution's aim is to better the economy's growth and it will lead to a growth but only a short term one as oppose to the more preferable stable long term economic growth and this paper will highlights the reasoning behind this claim. Before going any further, let us first examine the basis of most countries' economy and the factors that partake in the overall long–term growth of an economy. In general, there are two types of factors that influence the economic development Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. We Must Protect the Clean Water Act Essay The Clean Water Act has made advances to our society that have helped our environment to flourish with life. The objective of the Act when it was enacted in 1972 was to restore and maintain the chemical, physical, and biological integrity of the Nation's water. This objective was accompanied by other statutory goals to eliminate the discharge of pollutants into waters used by boats by 1985 and to attain waters deemed "fishable or swimmable" by 1983. So far, the Act has done exactly what it was meant to do. Its purpose is being served and we our benefiting with clean water. No where in the context of the Clean Water Act does it say anything aboutrespecting the convenience of businesses wishing to dump their toxins...show more content... The intent of the of the Clean Water ActAmendments of 1995 is to increase flexibility on businesses, States, local governments, and landowners. This increase in flexibility is meant to relax some regulations dealing with the discharge of wastes and stormwater into waterways, authority of States to rely on voluntary measures to control nonpoint source pollution, limit Federal authority to restrict land use in wetlands, and require the Federal Government to reimburse landowners for loss of property value resulting from wetlands regulations. All of these measures will make it easier for toxins to be thrown into our drinking water by businesses with no remorse. This bill is supposedly supposed to help our environment, but it seems to me that this bill is driven by political and economic interests, rather than the well being of our environment. Why should we be more linient in the protection of our water so a business may have a place to dump its wastes in. Rather, we should enforce the protection of our water so that businesses are forced to go elsewhere with their wastes. Our water is far to valuable for it to be polluted and toxicated with whatever it is being dumped into it. Our water is sacred to use for its value in public and economic health and the enactment of this bill will devastate this goal we strive for. This bill was Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Abstract On Water Pollution Abstract Water pollution is one of most rapidly growing problems occurring today. It is responsible for more than million deaths worldwide. The Industrial Revolution was the catalyst that sparked several types of pollution, air, water, and noise, to become more apparent in our society because of the developments of factories, trains, and cars. Rivers were getting polluted by sewage and the air by carbon monoxide and lead. This pushed the government to take affirmative action against pollution by creating the Pollution Prevention Act and 1972 Clean water Act. Several other acts were made to help clean the environment. Simple solutions to combat water pollution includes, carpooling, ending the use of pesticides and fertilizers, and stop littering. 3 "Water and air, the two essential fluids on which all life depends, have become global garbage cans." ― Jacques–Yves Cousteau Over the years this statement has become very true. Today, developing countries like India use their rivers to dump their sewage waste not realizing the last–longing effects. This research paper will go into depth in water pollution, detailing the history, types, and sources of water pollution as well as the possible solutions to how to combat this problem and what governments around the world are doing to fix this issue. • 5. Safe Care Environment Paper The research studies reviewed all share a common theme that staffing and patient care make a safe care environment. The patient safety conditions all are enhanced by adequate staffing and nurse retention. Nursing turnover leads to reduced staffing and affects the patient's outcomes and overall satisfaction. The point of agreement is that nurse staffing and the environment has a positive effect on patient safety, outcomes, and satisfaction. Nurse Outcomes in MagnetВ® and Non–Magnet Hospitals uniquely address that the Magnet hospitals have their class of performance which sets them apart from non–magnet facilities that can also influence the nurse satisfaction and retention issues (Kelly, McHugh & Aiken, 2011). The study specifically addresses nurse work environments as the cause of retention that leads to improved patient outcomes (Kelly, McHugh & Aiken, 2011). Hospitals...show more content... The limitations could be the generalizability and the absolute certainty to say that this will work for all nursing environments. The sample sizes vary and can be small in one of the studies. The methods of the research are interviews and another subjective sampling, however; this is the only means to assess the situation which is at hand completely. The studies do not address how to correct or adapt a non–magnet hospital to perform in a more nurse friendly manner to address the nurse environment. They further do not expand on any attempts at correction these hospitals have taken to improve the environment. The articles address the issue of Magnet status and staffing and how they impact the issue of patient safety, satisfaction, and outcomes. They support the question that adequate nurse staffing affects the results of the patient as well as the ability of the hospital to retain nurses the maintain the staffing levels. Olo Keeping the Environment Clean We are supposed to take care of this planet, but are we doing so? We are not doing much. The little effort put into recycling or other small things is not enough. We must make severe changes, especially with all the gas consumption for cars or all the fuel smokes from industries that affect our environment. This must stop now! The rate of global warming is increasing rapidly and we must slow it down before it is too late. We must take action now and save our world. The atmosphere is something that is around us everyday, but do we really think about the changes that occur in it. It isn't that we just...show more content... Learning to use energy the right ways involves turning off the lights, the TV, and the stereo every time you leave a room. Another way is to use fans during the summer when it isn't too hot yet instead of just using energy with the air conditioner. As students we can also help in simple ways like recycling paper, glass, plastic, and aluminum. All of these things will reduce the amount of fossil fuels used and help keep the amount of carbon dioxide released into the air at a minimum. Another way to reduce carbon dioxide is by planting millions of new trees all over the world. Since trees reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the air and add oxygen, planting them can do nothing but help. Locally, the government along with other non–government organizations are also promoting this plans of tree–planting that will help our mother earth. Something else that can be done is find new energy sources. There are many energy sources that are clean, safe, and renewable. Solar, wind, geothermal power, and nuclear power are all other sources of energy. We have to find ways in which we can harness these natural energy sources so that we can use them instead of burning fossil fuels. These are just many ways in which we can reduce the carbon dioxide in our atmosphere by half.

Fast Cars and a Clean Environment Essay Fast Cars and a Clean Environment Many people would love the idea of having the fastest car ever or just having a speedy and sleek sports car to drive around for that matter. The idea of being able to "flex" the power of your car every time the light turns green make people long for a high–speed car. Many automakers are making faster and faster or cars with more horsepower for this demand. For instance, BMW's E36 (1996– 1999) M3 models peaked at an amazing 234 horsepower and 226 pounds per feet of torque, but this wasn't enough for many BMW enthusiasts. So in 2001 BMW came out with its E46 M3 model that housed an astonishing 333 horsepower and 270 pounds per feet of torque engine, which is an increase of almost 100 horsepower from the...show more content... Yet all the fast cars our there pollute and destroy the environment. Types of Engines: Internal Combustion Engines (4–stroke piston combustion) Most, if not all cars on the road today, are powered by some variation of a four stroke internal combustion engine. Invented by Nikolaus Otto in 1867, a four stroke internal combustion engine powers a car by first taking in oxygen from the external air and mixing it with a small drop of gasoline into a small chamber(2). A piston also located inside that chamber takes the gas and air mixture and compresses it to form a more powerful reaction and is ignited by a spark plug. The energy from the explosion of the gasoline and air pushes the piston downwards and turns the cam which ultimately rotates the wheels. After the explosion, the combusted air is released into the exhaust pipe which then goes to the outside air. The engine is then ready to restart the whole cycle again: taking in new air, compressing it, combusting it and releasing the combusted air into the exhaust pipe. This process is basically repeated over and over to keep the wheels spinning and the car moving. Although internal combustion engines are what powers most cars on the road today, its efficiency is very low. An average combustion engine today is only able to convert 20% of the thermal energy content of gasoline into doing mechanical work (3). Most of the energy is lost to heat which Get more content on HelpWriting.net

It conducts a variety of social service programs and its clergy leads the Downtown Clergy Ministries, a group which works with the Housing Urban Development to serve men experiencing homelessness who are mentally ill. The church reaches out to individuals from all backgrounds, as demonstrated by its Korean Language Ministry and Korean–American Congregations. Another church that plays a prominent role in the community is Grace United Methodist Church (J. Kompare, personal communication, March, 17, 2017). It organizes a food pantry for struggling families and their pets alike. The community even refers to the church as "The Savior of the Capitol" because it allowed the state government to meet temporarily in its halls after the Pennsylvania Capitol Building burned down in 1897. One more church in the community that is working to improve the lives of local residents is St. Michael's Lutheran Church (I. Clarke, personal communication, March 17, 2017). • 10. Abstract On Environmental Pollution Abstract Environmental pollution is anything that can cause harm to the environment. Pollution is any undesired alteration of the environment and is often caused by human activities (Mader, 2016, pg. 552). Types of human pollution would be air, water, soil, radioactive, thermal, noise, and light. Each of these forms of pollution has been known to cause the enormous amount of concern for the environment. There are laws in place now that are limiting pollution and to help control the issue. Environmental pollution is a serious problem we are facing globally. It is the debate concerning pollution, which we have been pondering for the past century. Prior to the industrial revolution, scientists thought that the atmosphere was untouched by man–made pollutants until they found air bubbles hidden in the core of Greenland's ice shelf (Stromberg). After finding this essential development, scientist began to reconsider the initial cause of pollution and how to decrease the lasting effects of it. With this discovery, pollution was traced back to Ancient Rome and it was decided that globally we needed a new approach for dealing with this problem. There are numerous types of pollution and they each have a devastating effect on the global climate. A scientist has been working on ways to re–direct the negative effects of pollution and at the same time encourage people to try to find ways to do that part to help with this effort. We all can find some way to improve the world and decrease pollution. The problems with air pollution seem to be one of the largest most discussed situations. The Natural Resource Defense Council (NRDC) air pollution is the release of pollutants into the air that is damaging human health and world. There are many forms of air pollution and smog and soot are two of them. These two are discussed more when dissecting this problem due to them being the most common forms of air position, which are also the most detrimental of them all. When the sunlight and emissions from fossil fuels interact that is how smog is created. The creation of soot formed from smoke, dust, allergens and other particles are spread throughout the air in gas or solid form. Humans don't seem to be concerned all that about the environment. We are taking advantage of the environment for our own selfish reasons, and don't realize the consequences. Maybe if we just had enough knowledge about the environment, or if we just changed our way of thinking, things could be different. However it's still not too late, we can make a difference for people who live in this lifetime, and for people who will live in this world after us. Our children, and grant children. • 12. Essay about Renewable and Clean Energy As these days global warming, pollutions and fuel shortages are getting more and more serious through time, renewable and clean energy is increasingly the ideal solution to energy related problems we have to solve one way or another. Biofuel is currently one of the mainstream and highly supported solutions, an idea to make renewable fuel by living organisms such as fiber, corn, vegetable oil or sugarcane. Biofuels, unlike nonrenewable fossil fuels over extracted by people, contains the potential to tackle most of the problems people encounter when using fossil fuels. This makes renewable fuels making it a cleaner source of energy, and a better option than fossil fuels that will ran out shortly sooner or later. The two main categories in...show more content... The second part of the essay will discuss some of the weaknesses in applying the fuel into practical usage. For example, corn ethanol is currently encountering technical limitations serving it as a standalone fuel, meaning that corn ethanol can only function by combining it with a certain amount of gasoline, while gasoline is a kind of fossil fuel. Finally, this essay will conduct a comparison with other renewable resources in the world, including solar power, other biofuels, and hydrogen fuel. The most noticeable advantage of corn fuel as an enhancement of fossil fuels is also the biggest advantage of ethanol energy a renewable fuel. Gasoline as a fuel is extracted from petroleum, and what makes petroleum an unreliable source of energy is that petroleum is nonrenewable, meaning it would run out some day in the future. Contrary, corn ethanol is a renewable source of energy, meaning if corns are replanted and remade into fuel, corn ethanol can be a long–term, sustainable energy source (gracelinks.org). Corn ethanol has the potential to produce a perfect solution of the energy crisis that will happen sooner or later, as experts predicted petroleum will run out in around fifty years (Gupta,p15). Another main benefit of corn fuel as the future fuel is that the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Due to ignorance and frequent carelessness, this important task is quickly becoming a critical one. For this reason, I took it upon myself to construct a strategic plan to enlighten my peers to the problems of our environment. I did this in hopes that it would encourage everyone to act responsibly towards improving and maintaining the environment. With ongoing threats to the earth's water supply, atmosphere, and surface, I found it necessary to devise a method of environmental enlightenment. I plan to apply this method at my place of academic study, The University. If supported by the faculty...show more content... I recently discovered that one cheeseburger takes more than 700 gallons of water to produce (includes water consumed by cows, water used to irrigate the cornfields that feed the cows, and the water used to produce the beef and cheese). When considering the millions of cheeseburgers that are consumed worldwide everyday, it is evident that the earth's water supply is declining rapidly. Due to air pollution, theozone layer is also being consumed at an extreme rate. Its arch nemesis is the various fumes from cars and factories. Scientists estimate that each 1% drop in ozone levels causes a 3 to 6% rise in skin cancer cases. Since the ozone layer prevents most ultraviolet and other high–energy radiation from penetrating to the earth's surface, this is a crisis that has to be rectified. The ozone's depletion has dropped to a level so thin that if we brought it down to Earth, it would only be as deep as the thickness of three dimes. The only positive outlook concerning this matter is that the ozone has the ability to reconstruct itself when UV–C rays break the bond of O2. Single oxygen atoms combine with O2 to form ozone (UV–B rays limit this process still yet). This evidence shows that the world is in dire need of an environmental resurrection. In order for this to occur and be successful, it would require an effort by every individual nation of our world. My resolution requires that The University of South Carolina Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Responsibility Of Environmental Responsibility Today in our world we don't seem to care about what happens to our planet. We are just continuing to pollute, destroy ecosystems, and deplete our natural resources, and so much more to harm our environment. But what is anyone doing to stop this to save our environment? All of his conflict and problems we are bringing onto our selves, which will only continue to get worse and worse if we don't take action now. It is important to know that humans must have a relationship with our planet in order to not destroy it, also known as environmental responsibility. What exactly is environmental responsibility? There really isn't an exact definition since there are many ways people look at the situation. But one of the interpretations of the definition is that environmental responsibly is the "obligation of decision makers to take actions which protect and improve the environment as a whole, along with their own interests," according to the University of Pretorie. But my personal view of the subject at hand is, it's one responsibly or duty to take care, help improve and rebuild any past and future damages we have or will on our environment. Fixing our past actions will help us repair our damaged environment, and prepare us for any future conflict. . But why is it important to have environmental responsibility? It's important since all of the resources we are using and the way we are using them today, are either constructing or razing the world of tomorrow. So, we have to construct sustainability in order to secure we have enough resources, and make sure we don't run out of them in the future. First let me start with the basics. I know you have heard of how we are polluting our environment. It has existed in the air, water, and soil for thousands of years, and all this pollution in our environment can cause many problems such as diseases such as cancer. We need to take drastic measures to stop all of this pollution in our environment. We can start using clean energy in our everyday lives. Instead of using gas to power our cars, in the future we may switch to electric cars. Since cars are one of the main contributors to the air pollution in our environment. We can reduce the amount of runoff in our water systems by Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Methane forming anaerobic bacteria works best in the temperature between 29В°C to 41В°C or between 49В°C to 60В°C and pressure of about 1.1 to 1.2 bars absolute. The temperature between 32В°C–35В°C are most efficient for stable and continuous production of methane. Biogas produced outside this range will have a higher percentage of carbon dioxide and other gases. The production of biogas is fastest during summer and it decreases at lower temperature during winter. At 20В°C the rate Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Importance Of Protecting The Environment Essay Our environment undoubtedly has many things we can use to benefit our everyday lives. Even if our environment is not in tip–top shape, we need to start taking care of it better. If we don't many things will happen. These things include plants dying, animals going extinct, air becoming polluted, coral reefs dying, and water rapidly coming contaminated. Another problem our environment has to face, overcome, or adapt too is Global Warming. Global Warming has and will continue to impact our environment worldwide if we do not begin taking immediate action and do something to protect our environment. Protecting our environment is indeed the first action that should be taken. Protecting the environment should take place locally and globally in my opinion. There are many things that our local environment could do that would have have a tremendous impact on our environment that genuinely would not take oodles of effort. A few of these could be as easy as recycling soda cans, old school or work papers, and glass bottles and taking them to a local recycling center. When you recycle you are reusing things or making them into new things. Two more examples would be hosting or participating in a highway clean up, or planting a community garden at a park. Globally, humans are responsible for Greenhouse Gasses, pollution, and fossil fuel shortages. Globally, if everyone pitched in just a little bit, greenhouse gas emissions could go down drastically. The way we could cut these emissions Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Global warming leads to rising temperatures of the oceans and the earth surface causing melting of polar ice caps, rise in sea levels and also lead to natural disaster such as flash floods and desertification. A decade ago, global warming was not much of a concern as it is now. No matter how much we are informed about it , we as a society seem to ignore the future disasters that global warming will acquire. Global warming is a "global" dilemma and everyone has an obligation to help reduce emissions. • 20. Environmental Pollution In The US Today Earth, home to the beauty of blue skies and clear waters, and bearer of each delicate life form, from the moss floating atop rivers, to the lions that prowl the mesa deserts; however, Earth is also home to the most destructive life form, humans. People reap the fruit of the Earth and bask in the beauty of nature, yet for generations, the efforts to protect the environment have only declined. The pollution that is wrought upon the environment every day is too often ignored for "more important" issues, such as poverty or crime; however, protecting the literal soil that people dwell on is just as vital as patrolling the society in which they live. Environmental pollution is a growing issue in the U.S. today, caused primarily by the lack of public concern or caution, harmful chemicals used by manufacturers and farmers, and lack of government enforcement or intervention. To begin with, the energy wasted out of pure negligence while performing daily tasks and activities wreaks havoc on the environment, greatly contributing to this issue. Fortunately, more often than not, excessive waste can easily be avoided altogether by being conscious of what is necessary, and what's just luxury. However, the extra couple of seconds that it takes to flip off a light switch or turn down a faucet often proves to be too inconvenient of a task for many individuals. By far, unnecessary use of electricity is the biggest energy waster among the general population. While one may believe they don't Get more content on HelpWriting.net

They believe that as technology advances, we do not need to worry about renewing natural resources, recycling, and finding new ways to produce energy. They state that one person in the world does not make a large difference. In reality, each individual's contribution greatly affects our environment. Our natural resources are slowly disappearing, and we must work together to save them and the Earth from ruin. Recycling is important in the effort to preserve our environment for future generations. We are running out of locations to put landfills. It seems like a small, insignificant action, but the way I see it, I save money on trash bags while getting a second use out of the plastic bags. Some people would just throw away the bags and buy new trash bags, but doing that would send double the plastic bags to be filled in a landfill. Another simple way to reduce landfill size and preserve resources is to refill water bottles. By refilling water bottles, people save a considerable amount of energy and natural resources by not having to purchase single serve bottles, which are made of nonrenewable petroleum. Additionally, the plastic manufacturing process is associated with toxic byproducts. Most people are reluctant to refill their water bottles because they assume that tap water is not as ?clean? as bottled water. That is a common misconception, however. In 2000, a study in The Archives of Family Medicine compared 57 samples of bottled water to the tap water in Cleveland and found that while 39 samples of the bottled water were cleaner than tap, more than a dozen had at least 10 times the bacterial levels found in the city's water. Tap water is often better regulated than bottled water and has to meet more stringent health standards at both the federal and local levels. According to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protections (NJDEP) Solid Waste Management Plan SectionB.1., ?Source Reduction is the first tier of the solid waste management hierarchy.
