My Time at Boarding School Essay
My Time at Boarding School
At the beginning of year six, when I was ten, my mum brought up the subject of secondary school and I realised that, after that year, I would have
to leave the school and people I had known for many years. I knew I would have to leave my friends, because they were all going to the local
comprehensive school, and as my brother was at a private school, I would have to go to one too. I had a choice. I could go to Dauntsey's school,
the same as my brother, but I would have had to wear the horrible brown uniform. Therefore, I went to Bruton School for Girls. A private Girl's
school in Somerset. I did not particularly like that uniform, but if I was to go, I would be a boarder...show more content...
She asked me my name and pointed to a door opposite the door we were stood at and told me that I was going to live in there for the next year. I
thanked her and carried on dragging my suitcase.
When we got in, I was so nervous. A small staircase that led up into a little room that looked out onto the downstairs impressed me. I chose a bed
and wondered who would live in the two other beds up there. Everybody had a small, uncomfortable bed, a chest of draws, with three draws; the top
drawer had a lock on, and a small narrow wardrobe. My mum unpacked all my stuff, while I watched the other four girls unpack. AChinese girl was
talking to a girl with bushy black hair, and there was a very pretty girl arguing with her mum and dad about her poster that had a cat hanging off a
branch and a rude word written on it. The other girl seemed to know the girl with the rude poster because she kept talking to her every now and again.
It was surprisingly noisy, so I could not hear their conversation.
After about an hour, my mum took me to see the housemistress. I walked down the corridor short corridor. Standing in front of me was a dumpy
woman with white hair and purple tinted glasses. She was very nice to me and showed me into a nice small cosy room that had a sign on the door

My Experience In Secondary School
Secondary school has been an unrelenting path. These four years of secondary school have had their excitements and their downfalls. My life had
transformed into one that no individual could ever envision persevering through, an experience so unpleasant that it changed my philosophy and point
of view.
On September second, 2014, my grandfather passed away from a heart attack. He was a cherishing grandparent as well as a great motivator. He used
to tell me "I see so much potential in you," and that is something I held on to all my life. Not only did my grandfather leave my family and me with an
immense ethos, yet additionally left us with an extraordinary measure of dissatisfaction. In the meantime, with all this happening I had issues of my
own in school. My marks were at their most minimal, and I was attempting my best to bring them back up. I was never too bright in subjects, for
instance, Math or science. Regardless, that was an issue that I expected to oversee by stressing less and augment more in my studies. I decided to
implement many techniques to help me focus in my studies; I tried to put my phone face down so I can become less distracted although, every time
I hear a buzz and see a glimpse of the screen light up I feel tempted to unlock my phone and see the notification. I kept on attempting different
strategies to enable me to succeed in focusing on my studies, yet nothing made a difference. I reached a point where I sold my electronic devices such
as my phone

Essay on A Day in School Life
A Day in School Life
The day begins with a high–pitched yell, "moooooooorninnnnng" from my mother. I wake up tired with a headache as I think I have a cold. I rush to
leave the house, my father complains about the lack of urgency in my movement by shouting out the time every five minutes.
There is not enough time to drink my tea; the tea burns my tongue as I gulp it down my throat, leaving a nasty taste. I ran as fast as I can towards my
bus stop. Upon arriving I realize that despite the hectic hurry of mornings I am actually early. "I really should tell my parents what time the bus comes
so my mornings can be more relaxed," I tell myself.
The large coach's doors slide open to a small...show more content...
However, I come to realize that the squabbling penguins are not very interesting so I find somewhere comfortable and detached to sit and my mind
wanders off.
The official day starts with a tutor period. My mood is lifted as I make quite a few people laugh.
The first lesson is French. The teacher is absent so I am free to take part in a conversation with my friend concerning the weekend. The teacher next
door keeps telling us to keep quiet. For some reason the rest of my fellow students feel the need to shout and keep getting louder after each complaint.
The second period begins. The teacher ignores my enquiries as to whether we will be using the "metro " book this lesson then yells at me for not having
written the title in my book, even though she hasn't started the lesson or even written the title on the board. When I point this out to the teacher another
student already distracts her. After twenty minutes, the tiredness sets in and hinders my work effort. The headache from that morning begins to throb
and my eyes are itchy and bloodshot.
The mountain scenery contrasts against the blockish and uninspiring appearance of the school, as it leaves a light and breezy atmosphere. The sea
breeze carries a sense of freshness, which promotes an industrious work ethic. However, during the summer months the stifling heat and humidity

My worst class experience all started in 10th grade year in an Algebra 2 class taught by Mr.Trichtinger or Mr.T for short. I'm going to tell you the
horror he unleashed upon me and everybody else in that class. He could have probably won worst teacher of the year for that season because I
don't see how anybody could've topped his performance in that category. I had never met a teacher that went out of their way to start arguments
with their students. I had never met before a person I truly hated with a passion all before I met Mr.T. The very first day of school he started
problems with me! I was really trying to be chill but he started off on the wrong foot, but I didn't hold this incident against him since it was the start
of the year. Class was just getting started and playing around I pointed at Divinity and was like "You might wanna watch out for this one she's a
troublemaker." He then proceeded to raise his voice at me and begin going off. He said, " You know what I'm not going to be dealing with your
shit all year Mr. so you can just sit down and shut up!" It's in human nature when one is flipped out on want to say something back this is amplified
with me as I was raised arguing. So what happened first is I sat there and looked at him, shocked that he really came at my neck like that then I
started hollering back saying, " I don't know who you thought you were or who you thought I was but you're not going to talk to me like that cuh hell
no!" His next words were

My Experience At My School
Everyone knows that one kid... who is always up to something, but never gets in trouble. Well that was me, Aiden Young, until I realized that I
needed to change my attitude. It all started on a Monday, and everyone knows Monday is the worst day of the week. I woke up at 7:06 a.m. With
only nine minutes to get dressed, brush my teeth, and eat breakfast. I had missed the bus, and today is the one day they both my mom and dad start
work early. So they were not home to drive me, so I had to ride my bike to school. When I got to school, I had one minute till the bell rang. Of course
that was not enough time to go to my locker that is on the first floor and make it to the third floor. As I guessed I was three minutes late. I tried to
slip into the class going unnoticed. I do not know how but it worked, this may be because my last name is Young and I'm at the bottom of the
roaster. I have algebra first, and as usual I talked most of the time. This is the teacher's mistake because she told us we could choose our seats, and I
sat next to my best friend Michael in the back of the room. Unlike me Michael does well in school, and he is kind of nerdy. I asked him how his
weekend was and he replied with, "I spent my whole weekend study for our Social Studies test." He seemed so annoyed with me, and I totally forgot
to about that test. That is another subject I am going to fail. There was always one thing I wonder about and that was why I was ever even friends

Essay about What I Have Learned from School
School is only for the open minded and strong, the weak cannot survive. You may have learned about math, science, social studies, and language arts
but only a handful of students actually learn lifelong lessons to be in a productive society. School holds many things in its classrooms and hallways.
Having great teachers and mentors will benefit you in school. Their wisdom and knowledge will contribute to you in ways unimaginable. School can
teach you plenty and these are a couple of the many of things I have learned over the 3 years I have attended Eagles Landing Middle School. To
begin, I was always a spoiled rotten "know it all" and none of my teachers could tell me I was wrong without me having to be disrespectful and...show

After this accident every time Rontavious would have something rude to say I would ignore him and that made him upset and he learned to leave
me alone. In addition, Ms.Scott taught me to show kindness to everyone that crosses my path because kindness turns an inch into a mile. Growing
up as the baby in the house I received everything I wanted and didn't have to share anything Because everything went my way when I said so and
nobody could change that. Selfish is one word that could have described me at a younger age. When nobody believed in me Ms.Scott took a chance
and brought me under her wing and taught me it was acceptable to embrace my feelings and emotions. For example if someone needs a pencil and
you have one to share gladly offer it to them because it will build on your reputation and if you don't have that you don't have anything. Kindness will
take you very far in life. Take Dr.Suess TheGrinch Stole Christmas into consideration, the Grinch was foul and disgusting because no one ever loved
him, showed him any kindness and that slowly but surely ate him from the inside out. Cindy Loue was the towns innocent sweetheart and she was also
the first person to show the Grinch kindness and that small act of kindness went a long way and warmed his little evil heart. In conclusin, school holds
many things school can provide you with ample opprotunties and these are just a few things iv'e

My First School Day Of 11th Grade Essay
Red–Not So Terrifying After All
I used to be very reluctant to write essays in English because it was hard for me to express my ideas in my second language, and it is easy to make
mistakes. I was afraid of making mistakes, but the more I was afraid the more mistakes I made, forming an endless loop. Mr. Wang, my high English
school teacher, broke the loop by showing that making errors is not terrifying and by building my confidence through the process of correcting errors.
My first impression of Mr. Wang was not so good. It was the first school day of 11th grade. I remember it was a sticky summer afternoon, and the
air was heavy and sweltering. Given the other courses I was taking, only Mr. Wang's class fit in my schedule. While walking towards the
classroom, I thought I was so unfortunate because Mr. Wang was known for his strict teaching and his preference for giving low grades. After
crossing a narrow corridor, I found my classroom, a small room with no windows and no AC. After I found a seat, a man in a white shirt that had a
turned little bit yellow in front of chest came into the classroom. He stared at us through his thick, fogged glasses for a while. After combing his
greasy hair, he said, "Good afternoon everyone, my name is Wang and I will be yourwriting teacher." Then he started teaching. In that small room, I
felt I was suffocating and his voice made me drowsy. I doubted his teaching ability. "Tony," I heard. Suddenly he called my name.

My Schedule During The Week Essay
Well, my schedule during the week is usually focused at school or at home. My weeks are never smooth and I usually have a lot of homework because
I am taking 18 units. I specifically handle all my day to day things by the first study and do my homework before I go play a video game, sleep, or eat.
My days feel very structured and I usually tried to prepare and do all my homework at least 1 week ahead. That way I have a bit more time to study for
a test. Most of the time, I get a homework assignment out of nowhere, which always forces me to go with the flow. I organize my day to day by a to
do list, a pile, and by section. I always eat breakfast during 8:00 A.M. to 9 A.M., I eat lunch at 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. and I would eat my dinner usually at

Those classes are usually the longest time–consuming in my week because they are about 3 hours long. On the Saturday and Sunday, most of my
time is to study for the exam or do homework because my class gives me a huge amount of homework. I usually play games for about 30 mins on
randomly on my schedule or when I have a random free time. I sleep about 4 to 5 hours a day in the week, but on the weekend, I sleep about 7 to 9
hours.
There are three examples from the text that I plan to use in my future or now to help me combat my time management in the day to day task. First is
to know how much time I am using for studying and increasing that time if needed. Second is to use a system to plan and set priorities. Lastly, it for
me to stay motivated to follow my plan and avoid procrastination. The three strategies I would use in the textbook would do the most important study
first, use a calendar planner and daily to–do list, and do the easier task first. I choose those three strategies for my time management because time is
the key to be successful. The most important to study first would help me seek a question that I might not know; therefore, I could ask for assistance
if I get stuck in my study. For me to use a calendar planner would help me schedule my time more efficiently. For me to use a daily to–do list will help
me knock off what I need to accomplish by the end of my day. Doing the easier task first is important because it

My High School Journey
At the beginning of my high school journey, it was scary. Just the thought of a new school, meeting new people, and the fact that this would be my
last years before becoming an "adult" and getting closer to college, was unbelievable, yet scary. My high school journey had many ups and down.
These ups and downs vary because I experienced them in my academics and socially. I can't forget that I learned a lot and met many different
personalities, with people whom I trust and had many great times. Also as growing up throughout high school, I'm slowly seeing who I am. I know this
is not the end of life, just a great piece of my life will end and everything will soon change again. I can give so many advices to just start off great at
the beginning of anyone's high school journey. I think it's important to join clubs, activities,or sports so you can meet new people. It's important to
surround yourself with people who will take their education seriously because at the end of high school, you will see how far you got by being
surrounded with positive people and that's a benefit because you concentrate and achieve excellent grades and that leads to good colleges. Also,
joining more clubs and participating looks great with your cap and gown at the graduation! Another advice is do NOT procrastinate, I have done it
so many times and it sucks to sleep late and wake up early and by doing so, you avoid stress which is a pain in the butt. Do your homework, get good
grades, and ask

Descriptive Essay About A New School
A new school, A new beginning. No acquaintances, No friends, having to restart my life. While suffering with anxiety of what may lie ahead. Enduring
fear of being rejected.
As a 9–year old girl, I still had a mindset that still needed friends who could influence me positively. I found it difficult for me to make any new
friends or truly be myself around anyone. The need for belonging served as my only objective. Class after class, they all turned into disappointments.
Losing hope, I first stepped into his class, realizing everything would change.
As I approached the classroom door, A tall figure with short dark brown hair and eyes as blue as an ocean greeted me. He also had a thin figure with
great posture. With a charming smile, laid–back presence like a carefree surfer. He always had a welcoming smile, no matter who approached him or
entered his classroom. Whenever he wears suits, he would match a distinctive tie, more unique each time. Showing that he never wanted to be average.
Looking at his appearance and his affectionate demeanor, something told me maybe he could be the answers that I needed.
His classroom, one of the largest, was filled with a collection of different instruments varying from flutes to drums. I did not know where to begin or
what to discover first. As one of my first music teachers/ vocal coaches, with the goal of inspiring young kids to look more into the beauty of music.
As time continued to go on, he became that one person who never gave up

Reflection On My Learning Experience
Reflections on My Learning Experience Feeling motivated, I have decided to narrate my learning experience on what I have learned about
through my formal education as well as my experience in learning to live. In retrospect, the report cards that I received in high school are a source
of great shame to myself. Although I performed at an average level in most subjects with the exception of excelling in the arts and languages. The
comment on my reports for Math always read: "Needs to spend more time studying". To my teacher's frustration, I always showed a lack of
interest, never paid attention in class and wouldn't heed their advice. Add to that, having bad math teachers. I take full responsibility for my
grades, but after all, my math teacher in ninth grade was fired, because we all failed the class and final exam. I was then placed in a remedial math
class and I was just never able to catch up after that experience; it seemed like I was destined to fail. I did have a few breakthrough moments, which
must have been puzzling for my teachers. On one final exam, I was the only person in my class that passed, and I passed by not using standard
formulas, but some convoluted way of finding an answer, because I was determined to find it. The day after our final exam, my teacher held up my
scrap paper with not an inch of blank space on it, in front of the class, and remarked, "This is outstanding; you never gave up when trying to find the
answer." This would probably be no cause

My Motivation To Go Back To School
What motivates me to go back to school is my kids; because they are my motivation on doing everything good with my life. You will never know
when the time is too late for anything and having a degree in things with good things behind your name is wonderful now and days. I will never
again give up on school I have to tell my kids the good things I did before they get old enough to remember things. School is the best thing for anyone
to do with their time because education is the best thing going.
I choose ICDC College because I been seeing them online and they are the best. You have to know what school toe choose because every school isn't

Essay on My Senior Year of High School
Having spent twelve years of my school life in just one small red brick building, the years tend to fade into each other. But the year I remember most
clearly and significantly is my senior year of high school, where I finally began to appreciate what this institution offered to any student who stopped
to look. Before, school had been a chore, many times I simply did not feel motivated toward a subject enough to do the homework well, and seeing the
same familiar faces around ever since I was 5 years old grew very tiring soon enough. But I began to see things from a different angle once I became a
senior.
First of all, there are roughly only 800 students in my entire school, from kindergarten up to upperclassmen and women, and my...show more content...
Teachers came in a variety. Some were genuinely interested in what they were teaching us, and some seemed even more bored than the students
themselves. But for the most part, all the teachers cared about each student as an individual, and would always greet you in the hall or ask how you
were doing. As I entered 12th grade, I began to notice a change in my classes– most of the time, there was more emphasis on participating in
discussions than just completing homework exactly to the mark. For instance, my AP English class solely focused on debates over what we were
reading, to the extent where everyone, both students and teacher, had a particular view to express.
My school's philosophy on teaching was to turn out well–rounded individuals who did their work, and everyone was treated equally. The only
exceptions were that since my school was very focused on athletics, kids who played a lot of sports seemed to be the most popular with teachers,
while the abilities of drama students and musicians seemed almost entirely overlooked. Also, because of the small size of the school, once you gained
a reputation it really stuck to you, so there was definitely a difference between how the "slackers" and the "responsible" ones were treated by teachers.
In 12th grade, everything seemed to come together for the departing seniors, and I noticed a change come over us. For once,

What I Have Learned In School
I have learned many things in school. I have improved my reading and writing in school. I improved my reading. I have learned what I was
supposed to learn in school. I have learned many new things to me like I have never seen before. In school, I have learned how to read, annotate a
story, brainstorm idea and ask myself question. I learned how to annotate a story. Annotating involves highlighting or preferably underlining key points.
I take notes and write down the important vocabulary or important dates. I circle the main idea. Many people take notes as they read to annotate a
story. I can add my own words to understand a story. I can mark that I don't understand thesentence. There's no one right way to annotate. I have to
understand the story when I read. When I read the story I need to have a pencil and highlight. I have to look up the quotes when someone says
something important. I underline the word when I don't know what it means. I highlight the word that I think it was important. I circle the quotes that I
see to understand. I need to use quotes that might include my essay. If I have questions about what I am reading, I write that question down. I put
marks to make my own questions. I research it on my own or I can ask my teacher questions. I use comments about the argument. It will be really
helpful when I am going back through a text to remember. It is easy to annotate when I am going back to the location where something happened. I
have to look up the

My K 12 Schooling Experience Essay
Every day, students face challenges that shape their learning, growth, and their overall well–being. These trials can either be minimal or turn into
colossal obstacles. However, they can guide students to become better individuals by incorporating their insights and self–realizations for their future
endeavors. Looking back to my K–12 schooling experience made me acknowledge the impact it had in shaping the kind of person I am today. Although
some experiences contributed more than others, I believe they helped me understand myself. For instance, a moment I consider critical in my K–12
schooling that served as a turning point in life, was when I started high school in the United States. I was born and raised in the Philippines, where my
parents provided everything that my sisters and I needed to live a comfortable life. This includes sending us to a prestigious school, paying for
tutors to enhance our academics, and even paying for our extracurricular activities. Furthermore, they supported us in everything that we do, and
unlike most parents in America, my parents showered my sisters and I with all their time and love since both did not have to work for an income. I
can honestly say that I lived a nurtured and privileged lifestyle. Growing up, I had never imagined myself visiting a different country, let alone
migrating to one. I would always hear people say how excited they were to go on a trip out of the country, especially the United States. In fact, Many

My High School Year Essay
There was a point in my time where I enjoyed school and took pleasure in attending school and that was elementary. Those were the best school years
of my life, having nothing to care about, the school lunch was unbelievably amazing and we had recess. Middle school was manageable but was also
beginning to become tough because the classes were becoming difficult. As we approach the beginning of ourhigh school career, parents and teachers
always tell us students that it's the best four years of our life, which in my case I did not find high school fascinating or enjoyable. I found high
school to be very stressful, overwhelming and not easy, understanding that the next four years of my life will be filled with obstacles and
challenges that I will face. I knew that I would have challenges with my courses, but I did not think I would have trouble with my emotions such as
feeling depressed, sad, or that I would cry every other day, but to some teachers or parents thought it was normal for teenagers because we are going
through different phases of our life. My freshman year was probably the best year of my high school year but I did face many challenges. I was
immature, did not obey my teachers, always getting in some sort of trouble. I was carefree, fun, outgoing and had decent memories whether they were
good memories or bad memories. Towards the middle of my freshman year I found out that I had Hyperthyroidism, and was quite confused and did not
understand what it meant. As I

Essay about The Future Classroom
When we look at our society today, there is no doubt that our education system is undergoing another revolution. Technology has advanced to the point
where it has made information widely accessible, and its convenience has established new means of independent learning. Students are able to learn
from a seamlessly infinite resource, and now schools face a competitor in the distribution of knowledge. Now as schools attempt to integrate technology
into the school environment, there are challenges in defining the next generation of classrooms. Through our Alternate Worlds class, we have
attempted to integrate technology into the class with both success and disappointment. However, though technology provides a great resource for
education,...show more content...
Like a future classroom our class embraces technology as a tool for education. Through websites, blogs, and streaming online media, our class takes all
forms except the traditional lecture style. Another way in which this class is an example of a future classroom is in the way we communicate. Through
forums, chat boxes and emails, our class communicates through instant mediums instead of face–to–face contact. One final way in which this class is a
model for future classrooms is in the responsibility that students have for their own education. Students in our class make their own schedule to keep
up in class and are bounded by a loose schedule. Students are given flexibility in where and when they want to work, which is different from traditional
classrooms that meet on strict schedules.
Though our online class exemplifies many characteristics of a future classroom, our class stays traditional in several ways. One similarity between
our classroom and a traditional classroom is that students still hold the responsibility for submitting in work to be graded. Students still need to be
assessed on whether or not they are keeping on task with readings, and so assignments and projects are still used like in traditional education settings.
Our class is also similar to traditional classes in which there is a professor who takes part in ensuring that we stay actively on schedule

My High School Career Essay
Through out my high school career I never took my education seriously. For most of the four years it was a big blur. I'm not quite sure if it was
because of me or if I found myself blaming my surroundings or teachers for my lack of focus and strive to learn. A failure can mean different things to
everyone else. Maybe there's just different types or categories of failures. These failures are meant to teach us something, or motivate us to simply not
make these mistakes again.
I remember going into my freshman year of high school nervous but excited because I thought I'd learn so many new things. Next thing you know I
found myself dreading school. Was I being lazy? Was it my lack of motivation? I still can't grasp why exactly I lost that excitement or that yearning
to go to school. I was raised to have the idea that school was a place to learn not socialize. But at the age of 14, what teenagers don't want to socialize
and that's what got a hold of me. I spent too much time worrying about other things that didn't involve my education.
Once I became a junior in high school I had been too far in the process of skipping school, not paying attention, and putting all my focus on other
things. I'm not saying I didn't learn things while or whenever I did go to because I learned a lot of things but not enough. I didn't reach my full
potential. I think this was the year I made friends who weren't as great of influence. So, at this point my lack of focus on my education was because of

My Time At Boarding School Essay

  • 1. My Time at Boarding School Essay My Time at Boarding School At the beginning of year six, when I was ten, my mum brought up the subject of secondary school and I realised that, after that year, I would have to leave the school and people I had known for many years. I knew I would have to leave my friends, because they were all going to the local comprehensive school, and as my brother was at a private school, I would have to go to one too. I had a choice. I could go to Dauntsey's school, the same as my brother, but I would have had to wear the horrible brown uniform. Therefore, I went to Bruton School for Girls. A private Girl's school in Somerset. I did not particularly like that uniform, but if I was to go, I would be a boarder...show more content... She asked me my name and pointed to a door opposite the door we were stood at and told me that I was going to live in there for the next year. I thanked her and carried on dragging my suitcase. When we got in, I was so nervous. A small staircase that led up into a little room that looked out onto the downstairs impressed me. I chose a bed and wondered who would live in the two other beds up there. Everybody had a small, uncomfortable bed, a chest of draws, with three draws; the top drawer had a lock on, and a small narrow wardrobe. My mum unpacked all my stuff, while I watched the other four girls unpack. AChinese girl was talking to a girl with bushy black hair, and there was a very pretty girl arguing with her mum and dad about her poster that had a cat hanging off a branch and a rude word written on it. The other girl seemed to know the girl with the rude poster because she kept talking to her every now and again. It was surprisingly noisy, so I could not hear their conversation. After about an hour, my mum took me to see the housemistress. I walked down the corridor short corridor. Standing in front of me was a dumpy woman with white hair and purple tinted glasses. She was very nice to me and showed me into a nice small cosy room that had a sign on the door saying "Old Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Experience In Secondary School Secondary school has been an unrelenting path. These four years of secondary school have had their excitements and their downfalls. My life had transformed into one that no individual could ever envision persevering through, an experience so unpleasant that it changed my philosophy and point of view. On September second, 2014, my grandfather passed away from a heart attack. He was a cherishing grandparent as well as a great motivator. He used to tell me "I see so much potential in you," and that is something I held on to all my life. Not only did my grandfather leave my family and me with an immense ethos, yet additionally left us with an extraordinary measure of dissatisfaction. In the meantime, with all this happening I had issues of my own in school. My marks were at their most minimal, and I was attempting my best to bring them back up. I was never too bright in subjects, for instance, Math or science. Regardless, that was an issue that I expected to oversee by stressing less and augment more in my studies. I decided to implement many techniques to help me focus in my studies; I tried to put my phone face down so I can become less distracted although, every time I hear a buzz and see a glimpse of the screen light up I feel tempted to unlock my phone and see the notification. I kept on attempting different strategies to enable me to succeed in focusing on my studies, yet nothing made a difference. I reached a point where I sold my electronic devices such as my phone Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Essay on A Day in School Life A Day in School Life The day begins with a high–pitched yell, "moooooooorninnnnng" from my mother. I wake up tired with a headache as I think I have a cold. I rush to leave the house, my father complains about the lack of urgency in my movement by shouting out the time every five minutes. There is not enough time to drink my tea; the tea burns my tongue as I gulp it down my throat, leaving a nasty taste. I ran as fast as I can towards my bus stop. Upon arriving I realize that despite the hectic hurry of mornings I am actually early. "I really should tell my parents what time the bus comes so my mornings can be more relaxed," I tell myself. The large coach's doors slide open to a small...show more content... However, I come to realize that the squabbling penguins are not very interesting so I find somewhere comfortable and detached to sit and my mind wanders off. The official day starts with a tutor period. My mood is lifted as I make quite a few people laugh. The first lesson is French. The teacher is absent so I am free to take part in a conversation with my friend concerning the weekend. The teacher next door keeps telling us to keep quiet. For some reason the rest of my fellow students feel the need to shout and keep getting louder after each complaint. The second period begins. The teacher ignores my enquiries as to whether we will be using the "metro " book this lesson then yells at me for not having written the title in my book, even though she hasn't started the lesson or even written the title on the board. When I point this out to the teacher another student already distracts her. After twenty minutes, the tiredness sets in and hinders my work effort. The headache from that morning begins to throb and my eyes are itchy and bloodshot. The mountain scenery contrasts against the blockish and uninspiring appearance of the school, as it leaves a light and breezy atmosphere. The sea breeze carries a sense of freshness, which promotes an industrious work ethic. However, during the summer months the stifling heat and humidity

  • 5. My worst class experience all started in 10th grade year in an Algebra 2 class taught by Mr.Trichtinger or Mr.T for short. I'm going to tell you the horror he unleashed upon me and everybody else in that class. He could have probably won worst teacher of the year for that season because I don't see how anybody could've topped his performance in that category. I had never met a teacher that went out of their way to start arguments with their students. I had never met before a person I truly hated with a passion all before I met Mr.T. The very first day of school he started problems with me! I was really trying to be chill but he started off on the wrong foot, but I didn't hold this incident against him since it was the start of the year. Class was just getting started and playing around I pointed at Divinity and was like "You might wanna watch out for this one she's a troublemaker." He then proceeded to raise his voice at me and begin going off. He said, " You know what I'm not going to be dealing with your shit all year Mr. so you can just sit down and shut up!" It's in human nature when one is flipped out on want to say something back this is amplified with me as I was raised arguing. So what happened first is I sat there and looked at him, shocked that he really came at my neck like that then I started hollering back saying, " I don't know who you thought you were or who you thought I was but you're not going to talk to me like that cuh hell no!" His next words were Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My Experience At My School Everyone knows that one kid... who is always up to something, but never gets in trouble. Well that was me, Aiden Young, until I realized that I needed to change my attitude. It all started on a Monday, and everyone knows Monday is the worst day of the week. I woke up at 7:06 a.m. With only nine minutes to get dressed, brush my teeth, and eat breakfast. I had missed the bus, and today is the one day they both my mom and dad start work early. So they were not home to drive me, so I had to ride my bike to school. When I got to school, I had one minute till the bell rang. Of course that was not enough time to go to my locker that is on the first floor and make it to the third floor. As I guessed I was three minutes late. I tried to slip into the class going unnoticed. I do not know how but it worked, this may be because my last name is Young and I'm at the bottom of the roaster. I have algebra first, and as usual I talked most of the time. This is the teacher's mistake because she told us we could choose our seats, and I sat next to my best friend Michael in the back of the room. Unlike me Michael does well in school, and he is kind of nerdy. I asked him how his weekend was and he replied with, "I spent my whole weekend study for our Social Studies test." He seemed so annoyed with me, and I totally forgot to about that test. That is another subject I am going to fail. There was always one thing I wonder about and that was why I was ever even friends Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Essay about What I Have Learned from School School is only for the open minded and strong, the weak cannot survive. You may have learned about math, science, social studies, and language arts but only a handful of students actually learn lifelong lessons to be in a productive society. School holds many things in its classrooms and hallways. Having great teachers and mentors will benefit you in school. Their wisdom and knowledge will contribute to you in ways unimaginable. School can teach you plenty and these are a couple of the many of things I have learned over the 3 years I have attended Eagles Landing Middle School. To begin, I was always a spoiled rotten "know it all" and none of my teachers could tell me I was wrong without me having to be disrespectful and...show more content... After this accident every time Rontavious would have something rude to say I would ignore him and that made him upset and he learned to leave me alone. In addition, Ms.Scott taught me to show kindness to everyone that crosses my path because kindness turns an inch into a mile. Growing up as the baby in the house I received everything I wanted and didn't have to share anything Because everything went my way when I said so and nobody could change that. Selfish is one word that could have described me at a younger age. When nobody believed in me Ms.Scott took a chance and brought me under her wing and taught me it was acceptable to embrace my feelings and emotions. For example if someone needs a pencil and you have one to share gladly offer it to them because it will build on your reputation and if you don't have that you don't have anything. Kindness will take you very far in life. Take Dr.Suess TheGrinch Stole Christmas into consideration, the Grinch was foul and disgusting because no one ever loved him, showed him any kindness and that slowly but surely ate him from the inside out. Cindy Loue was the towns innocent sweetheart and she was also the first person to show the Grinch kindness and that small act of kindness went a long way and warmed his little evil heart. In conclusin, school holds many things school can provide you with ample opprotunties and these are just a few things iv'e Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. My First School Day Of 11th Grade Essay Red–Not So Terrifying After All I used to be very reluctant to write essays in English because it was hard for me to express my ideas in my second language, and it is easy to make mistakes. I was afraid of making mistakes, but the more I was afraid the more mistakes I made, forming an endless loop. Mr. Wang, my high English school teacher, broke the loop by showing that making errors is not terrifying and by building my confidence through the process of correcting errors. My first impression of Mr. Wang was not so good. It was the first school day of 11th grade. I remember it was a sticky summer afternoon, and the air was heavy and sweltering. Given the other courses I was taking, only Mr. Wang's class fit in my schedule. While walking towards the classroom, I thought I was so unfortunate because Mr. Wang was known for his strict teaching and his preference for giving low grades. After crossing a narrow corridor, I found my classroom, a small room with no windows and no AC. After I found a seat, a man in a white shirt that had a turned little bit yellow in front of chest came into the classroom. He stared at us through his thick, fogged glasses for a while. After combing his greasy hair, he said, "Good afternoon everyone, my name is Wang and I will be yourwriting teacher." Then he started teaching. In that small room, I felt I was suffocating and his voice made me drowsy. I doubted his teaching ability. "Tony," I heard. Suddenly he called my name. • 9. My Schedule During The Week Essay Well, my schedule during the week is usually focused at school or at home. My weeks are never smooth and I usually have a lot of homework because I am taking 18 units. I specifically handle all my day to day things by the first study and do my homework before I go play a video game, sleep, or eat. My days feel very structured and I usually tried to prepare and do all my homework at least 1 week ahead. That way I have a bit more time to study for a test. Most of the time, I get a homework assignment out of nowhere, which always forces me to go with the flow. I organize my day to day by a to do list, a pile, and by section. I always eat breakfast during 8:00 A.M. to 9 A.M., I eat lunch at 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. and I would eat my dinner usually at ...show more content... Those classes are usually the longest time–consuming in my week because they are about 3 hours long. On the Saturday and Sunday, most of my time is to study for the exam or do homework because my class gives me a huge amount of homework. I usually play games for about 30 mins on randomly on my schedule or when I have a random free time. I sleep about 4 to 5 hours a day in the week, but on the weekend, I sleep about 7 to 9 hours. There are three examples from the text that I plan to use in my future or now to help me combat my time management in the day to day task. First is to know how much time I am using for studying and increasing that time if needed. Second is to use a system to plan and set priorities. Lastly, it for me to stay motivated to follow my plan and avoid procrastination. The three strategies I would use in the textbook would do the most important study first, use a calendar planner and daily to–do list, and do the easier task first. I choose those three strategies for my time management because time is the key to be successful. The most important to study first would help me seek a question that I might not know; therefore, I could ask for assistance if I get stuck in my study. For me to use a calendar planner would help me schedule my time more efficiently. For me to use a daily to–do list will help me knock off what I need to accomplish by the end of my day. Doing the easier task first is important because it Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. My High School Journey At the beginning of my high school journey, it was scary. Just the thought of a new school, meeting new people, and the fact that this would be my last years before becoming an "adult" and getting closer to college, was unbelievable, yet scary. My high school journey had many ups and down. These ups and downs vary because I experienced them in my academics and socially. I can't forget that I learned a lot and met many different personalities, with people whom I trust and had many great times. Also as growing up throughout high school, I'm slowly seeing who I am. I know this is not the end of life, just a great piece of my life will end and everything will soon change again. I can give so many advices to just start off great at the beginning of anyone's high school journey. I think it's important to join clubs, activities,or sports so you can meet new people. It's important to surround yourself with people who will take their education seriously because at the end of high school, you will see how far you got by being surrounded with positive people and that's a benefit because you concentrate and achieve excellent grades and that leads to good colleges. Also, joining more clubs and participating looks great with your cap and gown at the graduation! Another advice is do NOT procrastinate, I have done it so many times and it sucks to sleep late and wake up early and by doing so, you avoid stress which is a pain in the butt. Do your homework, get good grades, and ask Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Descriptive Essay About A New School A new school, A new beginning. No acquaintances, No friends, having to restart my life. While suffering with anxiety of what may lie ahead. Enduring fear of being rejected. As a 9–year old girl, I still had a mindset that still needed friends who could influence me positively. I found it difficult for me to make any new friends or truly be myself around anyone. The need for belonging served as my only objective. Class after class, they all turned into disappointments. Losing hope, I first stepped into his class, realizing everything would change. As I approached the classroom door, A tall figure with short dark brown hair and eyes as blue as an ocean greeted me. He also had a thin figure with great posture. With a charming smile, laid–back presence like a carefree surfer. He always had a welcoming smile, no matter who approached him or entered his classroom. I did not know where to begin or what to discover first. As one of my first music teachers/ vocal coaches, with the goal of inspiring young kids to look more into the beauty of music. • 12. Reflection On My Learning Experience Reflections on My Learning Experience Feeling motivated, I have decided to narrate my learning experience on what I have learned about through my formal education as well as my experience in learning to live. In retrospect, the report cards that I received in high school are a source of great shame to myself. Although I performed at an average level in most subjects with the exception of excelling in the arts and languages. The comment on my reports for Math always read: "Needs to spend more time studying". To my teacher's frustration, I always showed a lack of interest, never paid attention in class and wouldn't heed their advice. Add to that, having bad math teachers. I take full responsibility for my grades, but after all, my math teacher in ninth grade was fired, because we all failed the class and final exam. I was then placed in a remedial math class and I was just never able to catch up after that experience; it seemed like I was destined to fail. I did have a few breakthrough moments, which must have been puzzling for my teachers. On one final exam, I was the only person in my class that passed, and I passed by not using standard formulas, but some convoluted way of finding an answer, because I was determined to find it. The day after our final exam, my teacher held up my scrap paper with not an inch of blank space on it, in front of the class, and remarked, "This is outstanding; you never gave up when trying to find the answer." This would probably be no cause Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 14. Essay on My Senior Year of High School Having spent twelve years of my school life in just one small red brick building, the years tend to fade into each other. But the year I remember most clearly and significantly is my senior year of high school, where I finally began to appreciate what this institution offered to any student who stopped to look. Before, school had been a chore, many times I simply did not feel motivated toward a subject enough to do the homework well, and seeing the same familiar faces around ever since I was 5 years old grew very tiring soon enough. But I began to see things from a different angle once I became a senior. First of all, there are roughly only 800 students in my entire school, from kindergarten up to upperclassmen and women, and my...show more content... Teachers came in a variety. Some were genuinely interested in what they were teaching us, and some seemed even more bored than the students themselves. But for the most part, all the teachers cared about each student as an individual, and would always greet you in the hall or ask how you were doing. As I entered 12th grade, I began to notice a change in my classes– most of the time, there was more emphasis on participating in discussions than just completing homework exactly to the mark. For instance, my AP English class solely focused on debates over what we were reading, to the extent where everyone, both students and teacher, had a particular view to express. My school's philosophy on teaching was to turn out well–rounded individuals who did their work, and everyone was treated equally. The only exceptions were that since my school was very focused on athletics, kids who played a lot of sports seemed to be the most popular with teachers, while the abilities of drama students and musicians seemed almost entirely overlooked. Also, because of the small size of the school, once you gained a reputation it really stuck to you, so there was definitely a difference between how the "slackers" and the "responsible" ones were treated by teachers. In 12th grade, everything seemed to come together for the departing seniors, and I noticed a change come over us. For once, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. What I Have Learned In School I have learned many things in school. I have improved my reading and writing in school. I improved my reading. I have learned what I was supposed to learn in school. I have learned many new things to me like I have never seen before. In school, I have learned how to read, annotate a story, brainstorm idea and ask myself question. I learned how to annotate a story. Annotating involves highlighting or preferably underlining key points. I take notes and write down the important vocabulary or important dates. I circle the main idea. Many people take notes as they read to annotate a story. I can add my own words to understand a story. I can mark that I don't understand thesentence. There's no one right way to annotate. I have to understand the story when I read. When I read the story I need to have a pencil and highlight. I have to look up the quotes when someone says something important. I underline the word when I don't know what it means. I highlight the word that I think it was important. I circle the quotes that I see to understand. I need to use quotes that might include my essay. If I have questions about what I am reading, I write that question down. I put marks to make my own questions. I research it on my own or I can ask my teacher questions. I use comments about the argument. It will be really helpful when I am going back through a text to remember. It is easy to annotate when I am going back to the location where something happened. I have to look up the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. My K 12 Schooling Experience Essay Every day, students face challenges that shape their learning, growth, and their overall well–being. These trials can either be minimal or turn into colossal obstacles. However, they can guide students to become better individuals by incorporating their insights and self–realizations for their future endeavors. Looking back to my K–12 schooling experience made me acknowledge the impact it had in shaping the kind of person I am today. Although some experiences contributed more than others, I believe they helped me understand myself. For instance, a moment I consider critical in my K–12 schooling that served as a turning point in life, was when I started high school in the United States. I was born and raised in the Philippines, where my parents provided everything that my sisters and I needed to live a comfortable life. This includes sending us to a prestigious school, paying for tutors to enhance our academics, and even paying for our extracurricular activities. Furthermore, they supported us in everything that we do, and unlike most parents in America, my parents showered my sisters and I with all their time and love since both did not have to work for an income. I can honestly say that I lived a nurtured and privileged lifestyle. Growing up, I had never imagined myself visiting a different country, let alone migrating to one. I would always hear people say how excited they were to go on a trip out of the country, especially the United States. In fact, Many Filipinos Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. My High School Year Essay There was a point in my time where I enjoyed school and took pleasure in attending school and that was elementary. Those were the best school years of my life, having nothing to care about, the school lunch was unbelievably amazing and we had recess. Middle school was manageable but was also beginning to become tough because the classes were becoming difficult. As we approach the beginning of ourhigh school career, parents and teachers always tell us students that it's the best four years of our life, which in my case I did not find high school fascinating or enjoyable. I found high school to be very stressful, overwhelming and not easy, understanding that the next four years of my life will be filled with obstacles and challenges that I will face. I knew that I would have challenges with my courses, but I did not think I would have trouble with my emotions such as feeling depressed, sad, or that I would cry every other day, but to some teachers or parents thought it was normal for teenagers because we are going through different phases of our life. My freshman year was probably the best year of my high school year but I did face many challenges. I was immature, did not obey my teachers, always getting in some sort of trouble. I was carefree, fun, outgoing and had decent memories whether they were good memories or bad memories. Towards the middle of my freshman year I found out that I had Hyperthyroidism, and was quite confused and did not understand what it meant. As I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Essay about The Future Classroom When we look at our society today, there is no doubt that our education system is undergoing another revolution. Technology has advanced to the point where it has made information widely accessible, and its convenience has established new means of independent learning. Students are able to learn from a seamlessly infinite resource, and now schools face a competitor in the distribution of knowledge. Now as schools attempt to integrate technology into the school environment, there are challenges in defining the next generation of classrooms. Through our Alternate Worlds class, we have attempted to integrate technology into the class with both success and disappointment. However, though technology provides a great resource for education,...show more content... Like a future classroom our class embraces technology as a tool for education. Through websites, blogs, and streaming online media, our class takes all forms except the traditional lecture style. Another way in which this class is an example of a future classroom is in the way we communicate. Through forums, chat boxes and emails, our class communicates through instant mediums instead of face–to–face contact. One final way in which this class is a model for future classrooms is in the responsibility that students have for their own education. Students in our class make their own schedule to keep up in class and are bounded by a loose schedule. Students are given flexibility in where and when they want to work, which is different from traditional classrooms that meet on strict schedules. Though our online class exemplifies many characteristics of a future classroom, our class stays traditional in several ways. One similarity between our classroom and a traditional classroom is that students still hold the responsibility for submitting in work to be graded. Students still need to be assessed on whether or not they are keeping on task with readings, and so assignments and projects are still used like in traditional education settings. Our class is also similar to traditional classes in which there is a professor who takes part in ensuring that we stay actively on schedule Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Descriptive Essay About My New School Especially not here in New Jersey. I pull on my jet black jacket and say farewell to my thin, ill, and frail mother and with my head and shoulders low, I start my journey to Leven Academy.DonВґt be afraid she had said, You'll be fine. My friend's words repeated in my head as if someone poured glue on my ears and stuck the words on. A new school. A new reputation. Nothing to be afraid of. Right? Wrong. ВЁAlexis!ВЁ my dad interrupts my dreary thoughts. My bed squeaks as I sit up and sigh. ВЁWhat dad?!ВЁ The depressing thought leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. ВЁTime for school!ВЁ he calls back. Right. ItВґs Monday. Also known as the worst day of my life, or as my parents like to call it, the first day of my sophomore year. Usually i'm excited for the first day of school, but not this time. Not here at my new house. Not at my new school. Not in my new town. The air is brisk and thin when I step out the door, my knees shivering as the bone–chilling wind hits my wobbly legs. I look up to see the gray sky hiding the sun from the sky. What a lovely day I mutter sarcastically to no one in particular. I look down at the cracked sidewalk and adjust my backpack straps and continue to walk to school. When I reach the school entrance, there are so many students that I HAVE to lift my head to avoid getting run into by the hundred of teenagers. After 4th period is over I head to my locker for lunch. Now everyone has made mistakes in their life, but this mistake will haunt me until the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. My High School Career Essay Through out my high school career I never took my education seriously. For most of the four years it was a big blur. I'm not quite sure if it was because of me or if I found myself blaming my surroundings or teachers for my lack of focus and strive to learn. A failure can mean different things to everyone else. Maybe there's just different types or categories of failures. These failures are meant to teach us something, or motivate us to simply not make these mistakes again. I remember going into my freshman year of high school nervous but excited because I thought I'd learn so many new things. Next thing you know I found myself dreading school. Was I being lazy? Was it my lack of motivation? I still can't grasp why exactly I lost that excitement or that yearning to go to school. I was raised to have the idea that school was a place to learn not socialize. But at the age of 14, what teenagers don't want to socialize and that's what got a hold of me. I spent too much time worrying about other things that didn't involve my education. Once I became a junior in high school I had been too far in the process of skipping school, not paying attention, and putting all my focus on other things. I'm not saying I didn't learn things while or whenever I did go to because I learned a lot of things but not enough. I didn't reach my full potential. I think this was the year I made friends who weren't as great of influence. So, at this point my lack of focus on my education was because of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
