2. RockStar Games Rockstar, who are probably most notable for their creation of the Grand Theft Auto Games, is a large, game based company who have produced, created and made 100’s of games down the years. They have released onto many different Consoles and platforms.
3. The Key Stages: The Brief: An idea for a game has to come around to mind before anything else happens, so when Rockstar plan to create a new game, a meeting must take place to discuss ideas and thoughts, along with themes and what the plot, title, theme and think about what the look of the game should be, before drafting it forward to the design department. Design: The design department then create sketches of the Characters, the scenery, objects, buildings and other things that will be involved in the game. The design department then forward that to the heads of Rockstar, who will agree with what they want, before everything is created on Computer.
4. Production: The production starts once the final designs have been created, via Computer. The production process involves creating the necessary sounds, recording the voices, the movements and animations of Objects, the levels constructed and everything rendered. The Game animation and programming then begins, moving bits and pieces into the correct areas, animation them, interfacing with the surrounding areas. The game is finalised, everything completed, which takes about a year to 2 years to complete everything. During this time, Technology is always improving, so more graphics and better movement are always put into the game during the production and making of the game. Testing: The game must then be tested, making sure there are no faults and glitches throughout the game. Not all games manage to overcome glitches, but when the do so, most of the time it must be taken back and fixed, before the testing continues. Completion: The game is then competed and finished, with everything in place, the game goes through one final test, before being taken out to the shelves of the shops. The game is then sold on many different platforms [consoles] throughout the market in many different languages and countries available.
