I. DESIGN WORKSHOP
• Design and program at different scales, understanding basic
typologies and their integration in urban contexts.
• Gather and interpret relevant data (within their field of study) to
inform decisions that include reflection on relevant social, scientific
or ethical matters.
• Knowledge of the history and theories of architecture, as well as
arts, sciences and technologies related to them.
• Understanding of the role of fine arts as a factor that may influence
the quality of architectural design.
• Understanding the relationships between people, buildings and
environment.
II. TECHNICAL SYSTEMS
• Identification of the elements and constructive systems, for
defining its function and compatibility, its implementation in the
constructive process.
• Aptitude to consider and solve constructive details.
• Execution of designs integrated between Facilities, Construction
and Structures, emphasizing the mutual interaction of these three
disciplines in the design process, looking for the most rational
solutions in all contexts, as well as its influence in the architectural
design.
• Project analysis and its adaptation to their execution.
• Application of technical regulation to the design process and to
generate technical specification of the procedures and constructive
methods, with critical vision.
III. HISTORY OF ART AND ARCHITECTURE
• Analyze and study the artistic, architectural and urban
manifestation from Prehistory to the Renaissance, complementing
the knowledge and understanding as well as to have as a valuable
tool to stimulate creativity.
• Relate the compositional, constructive and functional problems
solving throughout history, from ancient architecture to the present.
• Integrate the contents of the subject with those provided in other
courses.
• Gather information about literature and graphic contents of the
subject and display their results in a scientific way.
• Study the history of Spanish art and architecture to ensure
comprehensive and critical understanding of the past and present
reality in which these studies are geographically framed.
