3. Diagnosis :
(Liposarcoma).
Comment :
1- Malignant tumor arising from adipose tissue.
2- The tumor is composed mainly of mature adipocytes with vacuolated
cytoplasm and eccentric nuclei (Signet ring cells) some ASTS are seen with central
nuclei and eosinophilic.
3- Cells show different stage of maturation.
4- Signs of pleomorhism, immature lipobl cytoplasm.
These anaplasia are noticed in the form of hyperchromatism, increase
nuclear/cytoplasmic ratio, prominent nucleolus, and abnormal mitoses.
5. Diagnosis :
(Papillary thyroid carcinoma).
Comment :
1- Malignant tumor arising from glandular thyroid epithelium.
2- The tumor is composed of arborizing papillary structure.
3- The papillae is composed of Connective tissue core and covering
epithelium that exhibit signs of malignancy in the form of
pleomorhism, hyperchromatism, chromatin condensation at the
periphery of the nucleus (Orphan Anne appearance)
7. Diagnosis :
(Chondrosarcoma).
Comment :
1- Malignant tumor arising from chondroblast.
2- The tumor is composed of chondroblastic cell proliferation.
3- The chondroblast cells show signs of malignancy in the form of
pleomorhism, hyperchromatism, increase nuclear/cytoplasmic
ratio, prominent nucleolus, and abnormal mitoses.
4- The cells are not in pairs as in normal state and in groups or bundles separated
by fibrous tissue the cells are dispersed in hyaline matrix.
9. Diagnosis :
(Squamous cell carcinoma).
Comment :
1- Malignant tumor arising from squamous epithelium.
2- The tumor is composed of cell nests composed of malignant
squamous epithelium that exhibit signs of malignancy in the form
of pleomorhism, hyperchromatism, increase nuclear/cytoplasmic
ratio, prominent nucleolus, and abnormal mitoses.
3- The cell nests show inner layer of keratin pearls, and outer layer of
basal cells.
