2. About Keisoukun Gaina
Keisoukun Gaina is a heat insulation coating, which
when applied acts as a heat shield reflecting 95% of
the sun’s heat energy.
Keisoukun Gaina was developed as a result of a study
carried out in conjunction with the Japanese
Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) investigating
heat insulation materials against temperatures of
4000ºC on rocket heads.
The project focused on completing the technique of
hollowing ceramic beads in an aqueous emulsion, for
simple application of high-tech engineering. Further
features of Keisoukun Gaina make it more than an
extraordinary heat insulation product.

3. The Mechanism
The membrane in Keisoukun Gaina is composed of
millions of hollow ceramic microspheres.
When Keisoukun Gaina is applied over a surface it
creates a heat barrier that reflects up to 95% of the
heat energy from the sun and prevents heat and
infrared rays from penetrating the treated surface.
Also, because the layered ceramic microspheres
within the membrane rapidly reflect sound, sound
vibration is controlled quickly, lending to a quieter
environment.

4. Key Benefits
Saves Energy.
Insulates – Applying Keisoukun Gaina to
building ceilings and interiors retains
around 60% of the heat energy that used to
escape outside, allowing warmer winters.
Radiant barrier – Applying to building
exteriors and roofs reflects around 95% of
solar radiation, making for cooler summer.
Endurance – Hybridization of advanced
ceramics and acrylic silicon resin makes
Keisoukun Gaina’s lifetime 2 to 3 times
longer than general coatings.
Anti-fouling – Keisoukun Gaina has
excellent anti-fouling performance due to
the effect of the advanced ceramic and
acrylic silicon resin, which is antistatic and
hydrophilic.
Enhances Interior
Environment.
Sound deadening – Decreases sound that
goes through treated roofs, ceilings and
walls by 4 to 10 decibels.
Dew-proofing – Reduces condensation to
less than 20% on coated surfaces.
Deodorizes – The advanced ceramic
compounds neutralize/ionize odors and
toxic substances in the air.
Moisture permeance – Sufficiently
permeable to allow moisture and air to go
through treated walls and surfaces to
maintain a healthy environment (airflow of
60 cc/m2 per day).

Gives Peace of Mind.
Easy to apply – No special tools necessary
for application. A beautiful finish is
possible with most any tool, including
brushes, rollers and spray guns.
Protects – Keisoukun Gaina has tested
antimicrobial and anti-mold properties.
Plus, its characteristic of rapid heat
dispersion will protect against accidental
burns from coated surfaces heated up to
100ºC.
Safe – Is an environmentally friendly waterbased coating. Registered as a
formaldehyde safe product in Japan.*
Non-flammable – Due to its advanced
ceramic composition, Keisoukun Gaina
also acts as a non-flammable coating,
greatly increasing the life of coated
materials in a fire.**
F four star in formaldehyde release category = less than 0.005 mg/m2 per hour
Non-flammability tested by the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation.

5. Applications
Applying Keisoukun Gaina is very simple.
Requirements for the preparation of the surface on which to apply
Keisoukun Gaina are the same as applying a conventional latex paint.
