Sexual harassment in the workplace can take many forms and be perpetrated by or against any gender. Traditionally, harassment involved males targeting females in roles like secretaries. However, harassment also occurs between females and males or among the same sex. The types of harassment may include unwanted physical contact, comments, or demands for sexual favors. Recent data shows that around 17% of workplace harassment cases reported in the US involved male complainants.

This lesson seeks to educate the audience about sexual harassment, the types of offenders, the types
of harassment and methods utilized to report such harassment in the workplace.
Traditionally, it has been the male offender who has harassed the the female worker, be it the
secretary, file clerk, etc. However, many cases have come to light of females harassing males. Many
of these cases tend to go unreported as the males fear being ridiculed by their peers.
In recent years, cases of male on male or same-sex harassment have come to light. In 2015, 17.1
percent of the cases filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in the United States
were filed by men be they against females or males.
