Session 1 - Flow to Full Treatment & EDM I
Speaker to be confirmed
Andy Godley is WRc’s Senior Consultant for Flow Measurement and Metering. Andy has
over 30 years’ experience in all aspects of flow measurement and metering in clean and
wastewater applications. He manages a number of WRc’s flow testing facilities and has
carried out many research programmes so understands the technical capabilities of many
types of flow measurement equipment. He has been closely involved with the development
of various aspects of the Environment Agency’s MCERTS scheme, and specifically the
various flow schemes, over a number of years.
Catherine Boorer is the Flow & Event Duration Lead at Thames Water where she is in charge
of a large asset base, their performance and asset management as well as the company’s
compliance with wastewater flow.
She is an experienced Flow Quality Specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the
utilities industry

Session 2 - Flow to Full Treatment & EDM II
Oliver Grievson is the Executive Director of Water Industry Process Automation & Control
and is also a Technical Lead at Z-Tech Control Systems helping the water industry with flow
& instrumentation solutions.
He first organised the WIPAC Flow Forum at WWEM in 2014 to help the water industry in
flow measurement and its application across the water industry.
Dave Walker has actively worked in the flow survey industry for over 30 years and has
experience of operating flow surveys in the UK, Canada, Hong Kong and Australia. His work
has been wide ranging from permanent flow measurement within the Mersey Estuary
Pollution Alleviation Programme to Short and Long term flow surveys in Urban and Rural
drainage area catchments and SuDS. Dave studied at Sheffield Hallam University where his
work focused on sewer flow measurement instrumentation and practices.
Darren Meaning is a Sales Specialist within the Siemens environmental water team. I
have over 25 years experience of selling process instrumentation within a diverse range
of industries including oil & gas and petrochemical. I also have experience in Account
Management, Product Management and Partner Management.
Danny O`Connor is a Senior Engineer at United Utilities specialising in both instrumenta-
tion and operational technology. He is a leading instrumentation specialist within the UK
Water Industry.
Dr Michael Gallagher (pictured) is the Principal Hydraulic Engineer at United Utillities and
is a seasoned speaker on the subject of wastewater flow and the challenges that it poses
for water utillities

Session 3 - Applying Flow & Event Monitoring Solutions
Matthew Westgate (pictured) is the business development manager for Vega Control Sys-
tems for the Water Industry in the United Kingdom.
Peter Devine is a technical manager at Vega Control Systems where, amongst other things,
he is a technical expert on both radar level and flow measurement. The subject of radar is
something that Peter has written a number of books on.
Rob Stevens is the Managing Director at RS Hydro and has aimed at fulfilling the company’s
vision of providing total solutions for the environmental and process markets. He has been
responsible for winning most of RS Hydro’s pivotal projects including a near-real time
environmental monitoring project in Guinea (West Africa), the UK’s largest single project
for installing MCERT’d flow meters for CEMEX and the North Wyke Farm Research Platform
Instrumentation Platform.
Martin Hardwidge is the ultrasonic flowmeter specialist Katronic’s Global Sales Manager,
working to grow business for their portable and fixed non-invasive systems in the UK and
across the distributor network. Martin has worked in process control and instrumentation
since the late 1980’s in both sales and marketing roles, with twenty years of experience in
ultrasonic applications.

  • 3. Speakers Session 1 - Flow to Full Treatment & EDM I Speaker to be confirmed Andy Godley is WRc’s Senior Consultant for Flow Measurement and Metering. Andy has over 30 years’ experience in all aspects of flow measurement and metering in clean and wastewater applications. He manages a number of WRc’s flow testing facilities and has carried out many research programmes so understands the technical capabilities of many types of flow measurement equipment. He has been closely involved with the development of various aspects of the Environment Agency’s MCERTS scheme, and specifically the various flow schemes, over a number of years. Catherine Boorer is the Flow & Event Duration Lead at Thames Water where she is in charge of a large asset base, their performance and asset management as well as the company’s compliance with wastewater flow. She is an experienced Flow Quality Specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the utilities industry Oliver Grievson is the Executive Director of Water Industry Process Automation & Control and is also a Technical Lead at Z-Tech Control Systems helping the water industry with flow & instrumentation solutions. He first organised the WIPAC Flow Forum at WWEM in 2014 to help the water industry in flow measurement and its application across the water industry.

Speakers Session 2 - Flow to Full Treatment & EDM II Oliver Grievson is the Executive Director of Water Industry Process Automation & Control and is also a Technical Lead at Z-Tech Control Systems helping the water industry with flow & instrumentation solutions. He first organised the WIPAC Flow Forum at WWEM in 2014 to help the water industry in flow measurement and its application across the water industry. Dave Walker has actively worked in the flow survey industry for over 30 years and has experience of operating flow surveys in the UK, Canada, Hong Kong and Australia. His work has been wide ranging from permanent flow measurement within the Mersey Estuary Pollution Alleviation Programme to Short and Long term flow surveys in Urban and Rural drainage area catchments and SuDS. Dave studied at Sheffield Hallam University where his work focused on sewer flow measurement instrumentation and practices. Darren Meaning is a Sales Specialist within the Siemens environmental water team. I have over 25 years experience of selling process instrumentation within a diverse range of industries including oil & gas and petrochemical. I also have experience in Account Management, Product Management and Partner Management. Danny O`Connor is a Senior Engineer at United Utilities specialising in both instrumenta- tion and operational technology. He is a leading instrumentation specialist within the UK Water Industry. Dr Michael Gallagher (pictured) is the Principal Hydraulic Engineer at United Utillities and is a seasoned speaker on the subject of wastewater flow and the challenges that it poses for water utillities

Speakers Session 3 - Applying Flow & Event Monitoring Solutions Matthew Westgate (pictured) is the business development manager for Vega Control Sys- tems for the Water Industry in the United Kingdom. Peter Devine is a technical manager at Vega Control Systems where, amongst other things, he is a technical expert on both radar level and flow measurement. The subject of radar is something that Peter has written a number of books on. Rob Stevens is the Managing Director at RS Hydro and has aimed at fulfilling the company’s vision of providing total solutions for the environmental and process markets. He has been responsible for winning most of RS Hydro’s pivotal projects including a near-real time environmental monitoring project in Guinea (West Africa), the UK’s largest single project for installing MCERT’d flow meters for CEMEX and the North Wyke Farm Research Platform Instrumentation Platform. Martin Hardwidge is the ultrasonic flowmeter specialist Katronic’s Global Sales Manager, working to grow business for their portable and fixed non-invasive systems in the UK and across the distributor network. Martin has worked in process control and instrumentation since the late 1980’s in both sales and marketing roles, with twenty years of experience in ultrasonic applications. Oliver Grievson is the Executive Director of Water Industry Process Automation & Control and is also a Technical Lead at Z-Tech Control Systems helping the water industry with flow & instrumentation solutions.
