REFERENCE: ODITI SAHA
This reference is to vouch for the integrity, work ethic and academic achievements of Ms Oditi Saha, who is currently
completing her Bachelor of Business – majoring in Human Resource Management and Employment Relations - at Griffith
University’s Nathan campus.
Oditi’s transcript of her studies is indicative of her dedication and ability. Like many students coming from high
school, Oditi’s initial results at University were ordinary. In her first year, while securing one High Distinction (7), she also
failed two courses. However, since commencing her majors in HRM and Employment Relations, Oditi has clearly found
her feet and is showing increasing mature and ability. Since this point, credits (5) and distinctions (6) increasingly
characterise her grades.
During her studies, Oditi came under my instruction in Health and Safety in the Workplace during Semester 1,
2016. In this course, I was Oditi’s course convenor, lecturer and tutor. I found Oditi to a most diligent student who never
once missed a lecture or tutorial.
In Oditi’s assignment in Health and Safety in the Workplace, which required her to assess an actual workplace to
see if it was comply with the legal standards in Queensland Work Health & Safety Act 2011 and its subordinate
legislation(a highly applied assessment that required both legal and workplace knowledge), I made the comments below,
Oditi, This was a VERY good work that shows a lot of effort.
What struck me most about teaching Oditi most in the semester that she spent with my were (a) her sharp mind and her ability to take
complex concepts and legal statutes and apply them in a practical situation, an outcome that resulted in her achieving 85% for the
major practical assignment in my course; and (b) her engaging and lively personality that added to the vitality of the overall class.
I certainly think that Oditi has made the correct career choices in studying employment relations and HRM, and that her practical,
applied skills and her ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds will prove of great benefit.
I would also note that Oditi has oral and, written communication skills of the highest order.
I recommend Oditi unreservedly for any professional position
