FORMAL REPORT:
Formal report is well structured and relatively long. Formal reports are
prepared in prescribed format. Recommendations are integral part of formal
report. Personal pronouns are not used in formal reports. Formal reports are
based on research study. Formal reports deal with complex problems.
Formal reports analyze specific topic in detail and helps in decision making
by providing effective recommendations.
INFORMALREPORT:
Informal report is not highly structured and is relatively short. Personal
nouns are used in informal report. Informal reports are routine based and
mostly deal with less complex problems. Main purposeof informal report is
presentation of facts.
