1. Noel Simelane
To Whom It May Concern:
Noel worked for me as an Industrial Engineer/Work Study Officer from +/- March 2004 until May 2008.
He undertook numerous work study assignments and made many proposals to improve efficiencies and
productivity on specific products and production lines.
On occasions we utilized him to run production lines when new products were introduced as we required him to
verify his theoretical assessment of the loading and output.
He implemented graphical representation on each production line and the operators were able to measure and see
their output against a set standard.
At our weekly production planning meeting, Noel extracted commitments from 3 production supervisors together
with labour loading and produced detailed daily and weekly output expectations with the associated labour costs.
This was then graphed to produce a daily plan against which the supervisors were measured at our morning
production meeting. Noel interrogated the supervisors as to the cause of under performance and what corrective
actions were being taken to ensure the problems were eliminated permanently.
Noel is continuing with his studies and has gained vast experience in production management.
Under the right leadership and guidance, Noel can prove to be an asset to any production facility.
