security Mangalore from 15th January to 24th

1.Sampling design
The samples selected are from the index of BSE
Sensex of different IT companies. They are TCS,
Infosys, Wipro, HCL and Tech Mahindra.
2. Secondary Data
Data collected from websites, textbooks and
reports prepared by research scholars.
5. Literature Review
Technical analysis believes that the past data of the stock price
and markets are the signals of upcoming performance. Technical
analysis helps to perfect investment decision and it is used when
we have to securing and to when we have to trade the shares

Questionnaires survey is conducted by considering the foreign
dealers about Fundamental and Technical analysis. Their study
tells that more than 85% respondents are depend on two
methods but technical analysis is more important in short span

businesses are offered to public. The prepared platform via
which the buyers and dealers can alternate in stocks or other
varieties of securities like bonds, derivatives is referred to as

KOTAK securities are established in the year 1994, by
the parent company KOTAK Mahindra group. They have
the license to trade in BSE and NSE. The headquarters
located at Mumbai. It is a private sector company,
providing financial services to investors and traders in
stock market. They are intermediaries with the CDSL
and NSDL.

Technical analysis (also called chart analysis) is the study of market
action, using price charts, to forecast future price direction.
Technical analysts, or technicians, select stocks by analysing statistics
generated by past market activity, prices and volumes. Sometimes also
known as chartists, technical analysts look at the past charts of prices and
different indicators to make inferences about the future movement of a
stock's price.

11. Findings
TCS
By applying RSI tools the share price not reached to oversold
region.it is difficult to take decision about when to buy shares for
the investors. Roc chart shows that, there is an opportunity to
buy a shares rather than selling a share. Japanese candlestick
charts nearly shows profit and loss is in equal portion.
Infosys
The company in 5 years two times decreased their share price by
increasing number of shares. Overbought region in November
2014.oversold region in September 2015.
12. Wipro
The company overall 5 years in June 2017 decreased their share
price by increasing number of shares. Overbought region in June
2014.oversold region in November 2016 and June 2017.
HCL
The company overall 5 years in March 2015 decreased their
share price by increasing number of shares. March 2014 to
February 2015 overbought region. In March 2016 oversold
region.
13. Tech Mahindra
The company overall 5 years in March 2015 decreased their
share price by increasing number of shares. From January 2013
to Feb 2015 overbought region. August 2015 to April 2016 is
oversold region.
