• The IOE is the largest network of the private sector in the world, with more than 150 business and
employer organisation members. For almost 100 years, in social and employment policy debate
taking place in the ILO, to which the IOE is the sole representative of business, and across the UN,
G20 and other emerging forums, the IOE is recognised for its unique expertise, advocacy and
influence as a powerful and balanced voice for business at the international level.

The IOE’s objectives
• Our objectives are to analyse these trends and help shape the global agenda through an evidence-based and
practical approach. We consolidate our own expertise and the views and experiences of our global
membership to ensure that these policy debates reflect the interests of business and employers.
• The right focus, wide expertise and the engagement of our global members and corporate partners make the
IOE a powerful and balanced voice for business.
• The IOE is a not-for-profit organisation which describes its aims as to:
- Create economic and social environments favourable to free enterprise and a stable market economy.
- Create an international forum for the interests of national employers' organisations on social and labour
policy.
- Provide information and advise to members, organise permanent communications between them, and co-
ordinate employers' interests at an international level.
- Provide support for autonomous employers' organisations.
- Inform public opinion and advance understanding of employers' arguments.
- Allow employers' organisation to share experience, best practise and information.

SCOPE
• Full name- Standing Conference of Public Enterprises
• Office – New Delhi
• SCOPE came into existence on April 10, 1973 and was formally given recognition as an apex body
of Central Public Sector Enterprises in November 1976 by a decision of the Union Cabinet.
• SCOPE is one of the three constituents of the Council of Indian Employers and is a
Member of International Organization of Employers.
• It has a representation on the boards of Central Provident Fund, The Employees State
Insurance, National Apprenticeship Board, National Workers Education Board, National
Productivity Council and many other Committees/Boards.
• It represents employers at the ILO Conferences.
•SCOPE also coordinates and organizes numerous programmes on labor matters independently and
in collaboration with ILO.

Objective-
• SCOPE looks upon its tasks as both internal and external to the public enterprises and
other organizations/ corporate bodies/institutions which are its members.
• Internally, it would endeavour to assist these in such ways as would help improve their
total performance.
• Externally, it would help improve its total boundary role in conveying such information
and advice to the community and the Government as would generally help the public
enterprises and other member organizations in their respective role.

NASSCOM
• NASSCOM, a not-for-profit industry association, is the apex body for the 154 billion dollar IT
BPM industry in India, an industry that had made a phenomenal contribution to India's GDP,
exports, employment, infrastructure and global visibility.
• Established in 1988 and ever since, NASSCOM’s relentless pursuit has been to constantly support
the IT BPM industry, in the latter’s continued journey towards seeking trust and respect from
varied stakeholders, even as it reorients itself time and again to remain innovative,without ever
losing its humane and friendly touch.
• NASSCOM’s members, 2200+, constitute 90% of the industry’s revenue and have enabled the
association to spearhead initiatives at local, national and global levels. In turn, the IT BPM
industry has gained recognition as a global powerhouse. In India, this industry provides the
highest employment in the private sector.

GlobalTradeDevelopment
• He Global Trade Development (GTD) Initiative at
NASSCOM aims to provide a conducive business
environment to IT-BPM companies to establish and
grow in global markets. Through market development
opportunities, policy interventions and alliances, the
initiative helps the industry to build stronger and
deeper relationships with overseas clients and other
local stakeholders.
• Several high growth and under-penetrated regions
look promising for the IT-BPM business e.g.,
Continental Europe, Latin America, Africa, the
Middle East and Japan. Through focused delegations,
events, research reports and country chapters, the
global trade initiative aims to increase business

• The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of
India (ASSOCHAM) is one of the apex trade associations of India. The
organisation represents the interests of trade and commerce in India, and acts
as an interface between issues and initiatives.

FICCI Ladies Organisation was established in 1983 to promote entrepreneurship and professional
excellence among women in India.
• All India Organisation of Employers (AIOE)
The All India Organisation of Employers' (AIOE), an allied body of the FICCI, is the oldest and
apex national employers’ organisation of India. It is the platform for Indian industries to raise their
voice in formulating labour and social policies to promote business, trade and industry in the
country
• FICCI-Confederation of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (CMSME)
Established in December 2013, Confederation of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (CMSME)
is an affiliated body under the umbrella of the FICCI, an apex Chamber of Commerce & Industry
of India, with a vision to empower Indian MSMEs and build their competitiveness.
AIOE
• The All India Organisation of Employers’ (AIOE), an allied body of the
Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), is the
oldest and apex national employers’ organisation of India.
• It is the platform for Indian Employers to raise their voice in formulating
labour and social policies to promote business, trade and economy in the
country.
• AIOE was setup in 1932, by eminent Indian industrialist and philanthropist
with the objective to serve the cause of Indian enterprises by promoting sound
industrial relations and better understanding between employers and workers

Objectives

and commerce through Staff training and development in the areas of IR, HR,
Health and Safety, Social Security etc.
EFI
• The Employers’ Federation of India (EFI) was established in 1933, as an
association of autonomous organizations of industry and was set up with the
purpose of protecting, promoting and championing the interests of
employers mainly in the area of human resources, industrial relations, labour
problems and cognate matters
• The Federation is a key constituent of the Council of Indian Employers
(CIE), along with the All India Organizations of Employers
(AIOE) and Standing Conference of Public Enterprise (SCOPE).
• The Federation represents Indian employers at the international level as a
member of Confederation of Asia-Pacific Employers (CAPE) and
the International Organization of Employers (IOE).
Objectivesandfunction
• To protect, promote and champion the legitimate interest of employers
• To promote labour eco-system that is competitiveness with fairness and
inclusivity.
• To advise employers on key issues in labour matters and to assist them in
settlement of labour disputes.
• To promote harmonious relations between Management and Labour and
initiate and support productivity improvement schemes.
• To promote the social dialogue.
• To collect and disseminate information affecting employers and to provide
need based services to the employers in people management areas.
• To advise on key issues in Human Resource Management.
CIE
• The principal umbrella organisation for Indian employers is the Council of Indian Employers (CIE).
• CIE was formed when the Employers’ Federation of India (EFI) amalgamated with the All India
Organisation of Employers (AIOE) in 1956 .
• SCOPE joined CIE in 1973.
• Chambers of commerce, industry associations and representative organisations of the public sector are all
members of these organisations.
• CIE represents the interests of large-scale industry and represents Indian employers at the International
Council of Employers and at the International Labour Organization.

SCOPE • Full name- Standing Conference of Public Enterprises • Office – New Delhi • SCOPE came into existence on April 10, 1973 and was formally given recognition as an apex body of Central Public Sector Enterprises in November 1976 by a decision of the Union Cabinet. • SCOPE is one of the three constituents of the Council of Indian Employers and is a Member of International Organization of Employers. • It has a representation on the boards of Central Provident Fund, The Employees State Insurance, National Apprenticeship Board, National Workers Education Board, National Productivity Council and many other Committees/Boards. • It represents employers at the ILO Conferences. •SCOPE also coordinates and organizes numerous programmes on labor matters independently and in collaboration with ILO. 7

EFI • The Employers’ Federation of India (EFI) was established in 1933, as an association of autonomous organizations of industry and was set up with the purpose of protecting, promoting and championing the interests of employers mainly in the area of human resources, industrial relations, labour problems and cognate matters • The Federation is a key constituent of the Council of Indian Employers (CIE), along with the All India Organizations of Employers (AIOE) and Standing Conference of Public Enterprise (SCOPE). • The Federation represents Indian employers at the international level as a member of Confederation of Asia-Pacific Employers (CAPE) and the International Organization of Employers (IOE).

CIE • The principal umbrella organisation for Indian employers is the Council of Indian Employers (CIE). • CIE was formed when the Employers’ Federation of India (EFI) amalgamated with the All India Organisation of Employers (AIOE) in 1956 . • SCOPE joined CIE in 1973. • Chambers of commerce, industry associations and representative organisations of the public sector are all members of these organisations. • CIE represents the interests of large-scale industry and represents Indian employers at the International Council of Employers and at the International Labour Organization. 24
