3. “From an agency perspective, you want to work with strong, creative, and dependable partners. Ava Grey is all of those
things and they also help drive results for our clients. We love working with them.” - Mark Flores, VP at Olson Engage
PepsiCo challenged Ava Grey to create an experiential photo booth installation made from recycled materials which
encouraged participants to recycle through the use of a voting mechanism. Given a six week timeframe to design and
deliver the final product, the team incorporated new, custom technology that displayed how many cans and bottles were
recycled. To further embrace the recycling theme, the installation was engineered to be taken apart and re-used time and
time again.

5. Challenge:
Red Bull sought to drive awareness of the the Chicago tour stop in a
self-reflective and innovative way that would encourage engagement
across all social-media platforms, all while keeping property owners and
authorities happy.
Approach:
To introduce the show to the public, our team wanted to take a unique
approach to guerrilla marketing and create an immersive content
generating stunt that would bring the spirit of the show to the streets.
This included:
•• scouting over 50 locations, and executing street art in 32 high
traffic areas during their peak activation time
•• dressing up in worker’s coveralls and powdered wigs, with costumed
breakdancers to give the public a never-before-seen live experience
•• transforming crosswalks into piano keys
•• spraying chalked instructional dance steps of breakdance moves
•• wheat pasting near-life sized illustrations of a breakdancing Bach
•• creating event-specific custom designs and illustrations
•• using spray chalk and wheat paste to keep all artwork temporary
•• our film crew to produce additional media content for the spectacle
•• keeping branding limited to just one #FlyingBach at each location
•• interacting with curious police officers and other authorities in a
professional and trust-building manner
Case Study: Flying Bach

6. Impact:

previous efforts in all other markets. Ava Grey’s work accounted
for over 74% of all social engagement throughout the campaign
including the actual event itself. Art installations remained visible
from 2 weeks to up to 6 months, continuing to drive conversations
and create positive impressions well after the event had past.
This campaign performed so well that the lessons learned have
adopted for other markets.

8. “Ava Grey was a true partner in the development of Bar Lupo. They helped us refine our vision, expanded upon it in new
and exciting ways, and then made it a transporting reality in our space. We cannot wait to work with them again.”
- Brian O’Connor, Managing Partner at Consumo Group
Ava Grey helped Bar Lupo, an urban punk-inspired Italian restaurant in Chicago’s River North, to transform their space
into a comfortable art-filled lounge. Our team designed and built five custom barn doors to perfectly create their desired
space. The distressed doors became a canvas for a collaboration piece between world renowned street artists Ozmo &
Czr Prz. Ava Grey created several other aspects of Bar Lupo’s design including the restaurant’s exterior signage and a
wallpaper treatment in the restrooms that married street art with a curated nostalgic pop culture collage.

“Every year they continue to build upon the past year’s installation and make it bigger and better. I wouldn’t
want to do it with anyone else. They’re easy to work with, go above and beyond to impress our fans, and are an
important part of our overall festival experience.” - Pat Grumley, partner at North Coast Music Festival
For the past 7 years, Ava Grey has teamed up with The Elder Tree to transform an area within North Coast into the Living Gallery:
an interactive experience featuring live art that serves as a giant photo-booth for guests to share creative content. The series
of installations includes over 100 feet of temporary walls that create a canvas for live painting by 10 artists, 3D video projection,
sculptures, a 3D build-out of the North Coast logo. In the past 6 years Ava Grey has brought on over 60 different artists to

11. Dark Matter Coffee admits that industry standard coffee
packaging isn’t exactly exciting. They understand that they’re
the brand’s high regard for quality, sourcing integrity, and taste
is providing an amazing experience for their customers. They
wanted the quality of their packaging to match that of their
product. The Chicago company wanted to take a unique approach
to design which provided a stark contrast with the way that other
coffee companies communicate with their clientele. For this
project they asked Ava Grey to create artwork that followed this
philosophy. Ava Grey was selected to design a specialty bag for
their Oaxaca sourced blend. We created “Brujeria”, a Voodoo and
witchcraft themed bag with a beautiful, mysterious aura.

Authentaco is a Mexican restaurant that takes a modern approach to traditional dishes. Their lively spirit and fresh
approach inspired our team to design and produce a series of works that celebrates the heart of traditional Mexican culture
in some unconventional ways. The series includes: a mural of Día de los Muertos figures cooking traditional dishes, a collage
of Mexican food packaging to form El Santo (a famous Mexican wrestler), a custom designed Loteria card that points
customers towards the ATM, and a back patio mural showcasing the owner’s beloved truck. Click for more content.
