Amabutho 2014
Dear Franchise Holder,
The Amabutho (Top Engineers) incentive took place at Le Cannonier hotel in
Mauritius from 30 Sept – 3Oct 2014. Firstly allow me to thank you for allowing your
Engineer to partake in this great event, we know it is difficult out there and having
Service Engineers out of the field for four days is challenging.

We put some time aside to discuss some business issues with the delegates as well.
In more depth we discussed the importance of First Time Fix the financial implication
that this has on the Franchise and by reducing customer visits effectively they safe
the Franchise Money.
We touched on Mean Time To Repair and explained that our customers are very
important and the MTTR relates to the SLA with customer and by not abiding to the
SLA rules penalties may be incurred.
We emphasized the importance of training specifically the online training (My-Ricoh)
and developing soft skills. The training was a key factor in the selection of the
successful candidates.
The importance of having a positive attitude in your workplace and customers were
also touched on as well as the importance of Solutions and Professional services
going forward in our business.
I would like to highlight two individuals for special performance.
Firstly Neville Phillips from Nashua EasternCape which has set himself a
target after last year’s Amabutho incentive to be the number one in the group. This
he has achieved and committed to maintain that performance levels.
Secondly Gert Bester from Nashua Winelands who is our first Solutions only Service
Engineer to qualify.
Congratulations to both these individuals
In closing it is a pleasure for Nashua Limited to recognize these individuals and
reward them with a nice trip to have some fun and let the hair down. Thank you to
the Nashua Limited Directors for allowing this great incentive. It amazes me what
positive effect this has on the individuals and what camaraderie is established
between them. Continue the good work and see you next year.
