Information sheet is extremely necessary.

Employment Services
Note: Consumer must be registered by an ES staff
prior to be seen by a DVOP specialist.
All other Veterans not meeting the qualification
guidelines in Title 38 are to be see by the ES staff.

DVOP Responsibilities
Neutralize all Barriers to Employment by:
1. Completing comprehensive assessments: job skills,
education, training and needs……….
2. Advocating, Linking and Referring consumers to
Social Service agencies specific to their needs.
3. Referring consumer to Job Readiness Trainings and
Workshops.
4. Job development and job referrals.

Case Management (CM)
Case Management is a Process,
Not an Event.
It may take several calls, referrals & advocacy
before the Consumer’s needs are met or his barriers
neutralized.
CM is Advocating, Linking & Referring the consumer
to specific services as needed.

Resources
Resource Development is a Big Staple in the Case
Management Diet.
As the DOL does not supply social service needs
rather employment needs, it is necessary to partner
with other agencies in addressing the holistic needs of
the consumer.
No one Case manager has all the answers, so
conferring and networking is important.
