Abstract India is located in continent Asia. It is Federal republic government. Its official language is Hindi and there are 14 other languages e.g.
Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu and Punjabi. The major religion that is follow by majority of people is Hinduism. InIndia people speaks
different languages, dress differently, follow different religions, eat different food but they all have the same nature. Whether it is a happy occasion

A positive aspect of arranged marriages in India are that divorce rates are too low. In India if a girl doesn't get marry at certain age it is considered as

My Indian Culture
I am an Indian who was born and raised in America. This means that I have been affected by both American and Indian cultures. One of the biggest
lesson imparted on me from Indian culture was about language. In Indian culture, a person shows respect to everyone. We call adults not related
to us uncle and auntie as a sign of respect towards our elders. We even call kids older than us Chetan and Chachi in the part of India that my family
comes from since they are technically our elders as well. Since the use of expletives would be considered disrespectful, it was forbidden in my family.
In fact, when I was a kid, the word "stupid" was considered taboo. To the young me, saying "stupid" would be the same as saying f***. I remember one
time when I was really young, I was really mad. It was so insignificant that I don't even remember what I got so angry over. So I said the word "stupid"
while my dad. It was one of the less wise decisions I made my life. Something you should know about my dad is that he very strict and takes
showing respect to everyone very seriously. So when I said "stupid", he got really mad. He punished me by taking away my privileges like
watching TV which was already limited because my dad believed that I should only be studying on school days. I was so sad when he limited my

Culture and heritage plays a role in my eating habits because the food that comes from my culture and heritage is what I have grown up eating and
enjoying at the same time. Indian food is the first food I was introduced to and I really cherish the food that my culture and heritage carries. I come
from an Indian background so the popular foods that are associated with my culture are not known to be very healthy for a human being trying to

Indian and African culture both possess creation myths in their cultural background. Indian and African creation myths are world–different, in that they
rely on completely different stories of how the universe and the Earth were created. However, a common trait shared among the two cultural creation

the creation myth of Rig Veda.

Japanese and India Cultures
All countries in the world are unique and differ greatly from one another. Even though, they have many differences, they still have many things in
common. When one thinks of Japan and India, not many similarities come to mind. They may come up with similarities such as, Japan and India are
both Asian countries and both have roots in Buddhism. But, actually they share several more cultural similarities. The Japanese culture and the Indian

The women's roles in the family are to take care the household duties, care for the children and her husband. Most women in both the Japanese culture
and India culture still wear traditional clothing. It is important in each culture that the women dress and behave appropriately. Japanese women still
wear traditional kimonos. "In Japan it is still a tradition for the women to wear kimonos. "The kimono provides an elaborate coding system for gender
and life–cycle stage. The higher one's status, the shorter the sleeve of one's kimono. Unmarried women's sleeve length is nearly to the ground,
whereas a married women's sleeve is nearly is short" (Miller 2007, pg. 318). In India, women wear traditional Indian clothing called a sari. A sari is a
strip of unstitched cloth, which is draped over the body in various styles.
Japan and India differ greatly when it comes to marriages. Japanese marriages are no longer arranged marries. The bride and groom are allowed to
pick who they wish to marry. It's Japanese's tradition for the bride–to–be painted in pure white from head to toe. The bride wears a white kimono and a
beautiful headpiece with charms to bring lots of good luck to the new couple. The groom–to–be wears a black kimono. In India, arranged marriages are
accepted as normal and have been for centuries. Arranged marriages are usually planned by the parents and other respected family members. Arranged
marriages are made after taking into account factors
