1. HA7 Task 8 – Review
The aim of the project was to produce an animation for the e6 Radio
logo similar to the likes of channel 4’s E Stings but over a longer time
span, the animation needed to be 30 seconds long and contain the
e6 radio team’s logo.
For the first task I was assigned to produce a schedule and
production log which I would use to track my progress throughout
the whole of the project.
After creating my schedule and production log I then began
researching a range of radio presenters from big names like the BBC
to Local student managed stations producing in my area.
Once I researched a broad range of radio stations I began my initial
ideas generation for my motion graphic, I began with ideas such as
wheels spinning displaying the logo, a pencil drawing the outline of
the logo and then the two merging to form the complete object.
After a lot of different methods I chose the one which I thought had
the most relevance to the task at hand, this was simply a jigsaw
falling down from above and eventually forming to create a complete
puzzle displaying the finished logo.
Now that I had a clear idea of what I was creating i began developing
my storyboard, this displayed clearly the stages the animation would
go through, for how long and any additions which would accompany
each part.
For legal reasons I was required to sign a document stating that my
animation did not contain any signs of indecency.
The next two stages were piecing together my concept to form the
animation which I later began to manipulate in the Adobe premier
software.
2. HA7 Task 8 – Review
Once I completed my Motion graphic with the appropriate
necessities I uploaded my finished animation to YouTube and
embedded the finished piece into the allotted blog.
Throughout the whole of the project there were points at which I
thought everything would crumble beneath me, and the schedule
and production log proved difficult to manage once I was heavily into
production. If I were do things differently another time I would focus
the majority of my time on the production and my time
management, as this was my main concern at the time of
completion.
