1. Tell me in no more than20 words, what is your
FMP idea?
My FMP idea is tocreate a magazineaboutthe
evolutionof fashion throughouttheyears.
Why have youdecided to makeit? I havedecided tomake this for my FMP as I am
very interestedin fashion and feel as thoughI
knowa fair bit aboutit in order for my magazine
to be very factual aboutthe evolutionof fashion. I
also think thatbecause 80s,90sand00sfashion
stylesare rapidly coming back intofashion I feel
like a lot of people would read this magazineas it
is ‘in fashion’
What aboutyourproject makesit importantto
you?
The fact I am doinga fashion magazinemakesthis
project importanttoome as it is my passionandI
will hopefully be studyingfashionphotography
next year at university so I think thatthis will be
goodpractice for me.
Outline someof the initial influences onyour
idea/work and somepotential research targets
(remember, research isn’t justa paperbased
activity)
When doingmy research I will look at magazines
suchas vogue asthey are a very trendy magazine
andI will see what ‘old’ trendsare back in fashion.
Also when I am outand aboutor even just in
college I will have a look at what trends people
are wearing. I will look for thingssuchas flares,
bright coloursandpatterns etc.
What effect do youwant to haveon your
audience when they see yourproject?
The effect I want my magazine tohave on people
is I want my audience torealise that these older
fashionsare comingback in. Thiswill also help
people to potentially start shoppingmore
sustainably invintage andcharity shopsetc.
Describe the tone/mood/styleofyourproject
[which productiontechniques/characteristicsare
youemploying?]
I want my magazine to havea very minimalistic
look to it . I will usea very neutral tone butadd a
popof colourto make it standout. I will take
inspirationfrom voguemagazine as thatis how I
want my magazine to look.
Why have youdecided to makeyour project in
this style?
I made my last FMP in this style andI feel it
worked very well and lookedvery professional. I
didn’twant my magazine tolook cluttered or be
uneasy onthe eye.
