“Mozilla started with Firefox project, which
made an impact and helped spark a wave
of thinking about “open” in modern life.”
8. Mozilla is far more than Firefox!
“World Wide Web, is explicitly designed to
have no center, which allows anyone the
ability to decide how they want to use it without
asking permission from a large centralized
business or an organization.”
"The day we fight back" Mural by @mozillacolombia used under CC BY

9. How Mozilla does it?
• Through Firefox, Users now have a choice between major web browsers - all compatible with open
standards.
• Through the wider Internet ecosystem by developing new, open technologies and protocols that are

Through the community by implementing powerful communication, education, advocacy,
participation and collaboration strategies that allow us to build better leaders for the web
