SOFTWARE DEVELOPED BY MOZILLA
FOUNDATION
• Firefox (FirefoxWeb Browser, Firefox Mobile, Firefox
OS)
• Thunderbird (free, open source, cross-platform email and
news client)
• SeaMonkey (formerly Mozilla Application Suite)
• Bugzilla (web-based general-purpose bug tracking system,)
COMPONENTS DEVELOPED AND USED
BY MOZILLA
• NSS (Network Security Services) (set of libraries designed
to support cross-platform development of security-enabled
client and server applications)
• SpiderMonkey (JavaScript engine written in C++)
• Rhino (JavaScript engine written in Java)
• Gecko (Layout engine written in C++ rendering web pages and
for rendering its user interface)
COMPONENTS DEVELOPED AND USED
BY MOZILLA
• Rust (Programming Language designed for safety, concurrency,
and performance)
• XULRunner (allows applications to be run natively as
desktop applications, without requiring Firefox)
• Pdf.js(allows in-browser rendering of pdf documents using
the HTML5 Canvas and JavaScript)
• Shumway (open source replacement for the Adobe Flash
Player)
OTHER ACTIVITIES DONE BY MOZILLA
• MozillaVR (a web framework for buildingVR experiences,
and works on advancingWebVR support within web
browsers)
• Mozilla Persona (secure, cross-browser website
authentication mechanism which allows a user to use a
single username and password to log into multiple sites)
• Mozilla Location Service (open source crowdsourced
geolocation service by the use of free API)
OTHER ACTIVITIES DONE BY MOZILLA
• Webmaker (move from using the web to making the
web)
• Mozilla Developer Network (contains information
about web technologies including HTML, CSS, SVG,
JavaScript, as well Mozilla-specific information)
• CommonVoice (voice recognition open to everyone)
• In Real Life(IRL) (deal with issues of the internet that
affect society as a whole)

• Short Term Mission :
– grouping students with passion for technology who meet
regularly to build and innovate on open source projects.
• LongTerm Mission:
– create a global network of students with a diversity of talent
and a passion for technology, who advance the health of the
internet by building and innovating on open source
technologies, products and issues aligned with Mozilla’s
mission and values.
