2. 1.Think big. A few minutes before each class ends, stop thinking
little and go back to thinking big. Ask yourself, “What was this
about?” see if you can give a one-sentence or one-phrase summary.
For example: “This class was about the skeletal structure of the
human body.”
2. Review. If you did take notes in class, review them very quickly
as soon after class as you can. Just glance over them once in study
hall, homeroom, on the bus going home, or as you start your
homework for the evening
3.Summarize. iTry this handy recall trick. Get a 3” x 5” card for
each class, kind of like a flash card. See if you can summarize the
day’s class with one trigger word. So if you spent the day in
language arts talking about the character of Margaret in Judy
Blume’s Are you there God? It’s Me, Margaret, you’d write “Margaret”
on your card. Keep this up and you’ll have a summary at a glance of
what went on n class
