36. If a book you want to read is not on the suggestions list, please let me
know what it is! Although even I can't find books better than these (the
only books I recognize here have earned ubiquitous acclaim), I'm sure
Mrs. Callan agrees that the utmost importance is for you to just read. If
you end up enjoying your book, all the better!
If your book is checked out of Wake County libraries on Overdrive, it
might be available on NC Kids Digital even though both are opened with
the same library account! The vice versa is also true: if my book is
checked out of NC Kids Digital, often it's available on Wake County.
The only free review website that I trust happens to be relevant here:
goodreads.com! Unlike Amazon, it's not easy for a book with thousands
of reviews to earn 4 out of 5 stars. Many books in your list fall in this
amazing category! Still, goodreads.com rarely lets me down. Once, I
read a book despite its easy level (maybe 8th or 9th grade, but text
difficulty really like 5th grade) only because I hadn't seen a book so
highly regarded by everyone on Goodreads--and the readers were
actually adults! Now, it's one of my favorite books! If you're still looking
for a book, try A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness!
