5 Different Types of
Management Styles
 The different types of management styles are the way how a
person or an organization authority leads their employees to
reach the destination or desired goal.
1. Results-Based
2. Democratic
3. Transformational
4. Servant Leader
5. Transactional
Results-Based Management Style
 “No matter how, but you have to get the work done to make
me happy”.
 In result-based management because the manager only
wants the work done so he don’t need to know or care about
how the team members are getting the work done. In this
type of management the team members have autonomy how
to complete their work, they use different tactics and
techniques to complete the task themselves rather than
prescribed procedure.
 In this a person wants all employee to comply
with their mandates and the expectation is set
that are the members are adults and they can
do the work effectively. This creates an
environment of respect among all members
and it can be motivating for them.
Democratic Management Style
 “Let’s discuss and find the better way to do the job”.
 Democratic means to engage your all team in
discussion making rather than isolate them. The
Democratic managers thinks that their team is full of
the people with ideas and it doesn’t matter to them
what is your designation.
 This can create strong team relations and
trust. Because everyone has different idea and
thinking and the final product is the
combination of different ideas so it can have
positive and strong results.
Transformational Management Style
 “We want you to be better and better, so think
better and get something better”.
 Transformational management encourages their
team members to find the ways that they are
comfortable with, be focused on the areas of growth
and enhance their skills with new trends.
 This can convert a good team in high
performing machine in very short span of
time. This is a good style to take a start-up,
where team members can take effective steps
to grow and problem solving.
Servant Leader Management Style
 “What kind of help you need to get the work done”?
 Servant leaders put their team members first and the work
second. The servant leaders put the health of team first
then to finish the work. If you can create an environment
for the healthy team, the more effective work will be done.
These leaders do anything for the support and grow of
their team.
 This style is a best and favorite approach for
the digital project managers. If your team is
happy they can produce good results even
the work is not ideal. It makes your team
members to believe that you really cares for
them.
Transactional Management Style
 “Get the work done effectively, you will get the reward”.
 Transactional management use rewards system to motivate
their workers to do work. This system is easy especially
when you have a lot of things to take care of.
 This is a clear system and a straightforward setup of cause
and effect that can be very helpful for getting short-term
gains.

  • 2.  The different types of management styles are the way how a person or an organization authority leads their employees to reach the destination or desired goal. 1. Results-Based 2. Democratic 3. Transformational 4. Servant Leader 5. Transactional

  • 4. Results-Based Management Style  “No matter how, but you have to get the work done to make me happy”.  In result-based management because the manager only wants the work done so he don’t need to know or care about how the team members are getting the work done. In this type of management the team members have autonomy how to complete their work, they use different tactics and techniques to complete the task themselves rather than prescribed procedure.
  • 5.  In this a person wants all employee to comply with their mandates and the expectation is set that are the members are adults and they can do the work effectively. This creates an environment of respect among all members and it can be motivating for them.
  • 6. Democratic Management Style  “Let’s discuss and find the better way to do the job”.  Democratic means to engage your all team in discussion making rather than isolate them. The Democratic managers thinks that their team is full of the people with ideas and it doesn’t matter to them what is your designation.
  • 7.  This can create strong team relations and trust. Because everyone has different idea and thinking and the final product is the combination of different ideas so it can have positive and strong results.
  • 8. Transformational Management Style  “We want you to be better and better, so think better and get something better”.  Transformational management encourages their team members to find the ways that they are comfortable with, be focused on the areas of growth and enhance their skills with new trends.
  • 9.  This can convert a good team in high performing machine in very short span of time. This is a good style to take a start-up, where team members can take effective steps to grow and problem solving.
  • 10. Servant Leader Management Style  “What kind of help you need to get the work done”?  Servant leaders put their team members first and the work second. The servant leaders put the health of team first then to finish the work. If you can create an environment for the healthy team, the more effective work will be done. These leaders do anything for the support and grow of their team.
  • 11.  This style is a best and favorite approach for the digital project managers. If your team is happy they can produce good results even the work is not ideal. It makes your team members to believe that you really cares for them.
  • 12. Transactional Management Style  “Get the work done effectively, you will get the reward”.  Transactional management use rewards system to motivate their workers to do work. This system is easy especially when you have a lot of things to take care of.  This is a clear system and a straightforward setup of cause and effect that can be very helpful for getting short-term gains.
