5. Benefits of Growing GM Seeds for Crops
 The benefits of growing GM seeds for crops is that when you genetically
modify plant seeds you can put herbicides and pesticides in the seeds to
prevent bugs from eating them and weeds overtaking them and therefore
killing the crop.
 Farmers to grow crops more successfully and therefore the farmers are
more profitable.
 Farmers increase profits by growing crops on land that wouldn’t support
traditional seeds
 Farmers grow more food in less space using less water
 Plants that are hardier, more drought resistant, and resistant to pests
present a huge opportunity for farmers in less-developed countries

6. Negative consequences
 GM foods fall into three categories: environmental hazards, human health
risks, and economic concerns
 The negative consequences of using GM seeds that are genetically
modified with herbicides and pesticides is the uncertainty of health
consequences of humans consuming the food grown
 Harm to other organisms
 Development resistant of weeds and insects
 Limited right to reused the seed,
 Attempting to take over worlds food supply chain and destroying
biodiversity.

7. Managing Potential harms to
Ecosystem using Roundups
 Monsanto Co. Should change its advertising for glyphosate- based
products, including Roundup, that are misleading.
 To manage the potential harm to plant and animal life from using
products such as roundup, the government required farms using
Monsanto’s GM products to create “refuges”.
 Other solutions in order to save the ecosystem can be to educate
the farmers about the pros and cons of using herbicide round ups
and related products.
