Public Private Partnership
Over the past two decades more than 1400 PPP deals were signed in the
European Union, representing an estimated capital value of approximately
€260 billion.
For a number of years, developed market economies have been using
various forms of public-private partnerships with the aim of achieving more
efficient and effective management in public services provision. Today,
partnering is the new governance and it continues to evolve particularly to
address new trust environments due to social/economic changes.
Governments worldwide due to budget gaps are increasingly adopting PPP
models as a mean to deliver infrastructure services and projects.
