WM Lead for Tahoe Partners, Chicago IL (4/2006- 4/2007)
R/3 4.7 Optimization, adding Inventory Management RF Warehousing at Mullins Foods, a
contract manufacturer of small food packets (ketchup, mayonnaise etc.) for MacDonalds.
I completed stand-alone Blueprint project for this foods manufacturer. Design, user workshops and high
level documentation of a custom RF warehousing solution, without having to implement WM.
Site Leader for Realization project, designed and developed a custom pallet-based RF Warehousing
System, based upon standard R/3 Inventory Management with about 50 custom objects (especially RF-
transactions, GUI-transactions, User-Exits and Labels). Accomplished the paperless Bin-tracking of
most activities throughout a large warehouse. Featured were a MIGO back-end to print Pallet labels, a
reconciliation process for Production Order put-backs and discrepancies, picking queues for production
and delivery staging, ability to handle pallets with mixed batches or materials, and SD-Delivery
functionality, as well as full bin-level Inventory Adjustment, Physical Inventory and Cutover functionality.
Manager for Bearing Point (8/2005 3/2006)
R/3 4.7 Logistics Consultant for Honeywell ACS, a Minnesota-based high tech manufacturer
(8/2005 9/2005), defining requirements for MM/IM, WM, RF and SD/Delivery and planning realization
phase.
R/3 5.0 Purchase to Pay Consultant for Hospira, a Lincolnshire, IL pharmaceutical
manufacturer (9/2005 12/2005) Template roll out, coordinating upgrade and new development
testing for Purchasing, MM-Master Data and Accounts Payable, and documenting Purchasing
development objects.
Senior SAP Consultant at Schwarz Pharma, Seymour, IN (3/2005 7/2005)
Representing EPC, an Irish-based consultancy, I completed blueprinting and began configuring Materials
Management and RF-based Warehouse Management for a 4.7 implementation at a highly regulated and
German-owned pharmaceutical process manufacturing facility. I organized User Requirement
Specification workshops and documentation for Direct and Indirect Purchasing, Inventory Management
and Warehouse Management. Developed standard and custom RF solutions for Goods Receipts (with
Batch Management), WM bin to bin transfers (with and without Storage Unit Management),
Replenishing forward picking and production staging areas), Inventory Adjustments, SD-Delivery Picking,
Packing and Returns.
SAP User Acceptance Testing Lead at Abbott Laboratories, Lincolnshire, IL
(12/2004 - 2/2005)
As a consultant for Grom Associates, I organized the User Acceptance Testing for the Purchasing part of
a Purchasing and Financial 4.7 implementation at a large pharmaceutical company. Set up scripting
procedures and organized and tracked manual test script development, supervising consultants and
personally developing many scripts, including two for the system Integration Testing a major interface.
MM Consultant at Saudi Aramco, a giant Middle East Oil Company (12/2003 to
11/2004)
Representing Wipro Infotech of Bangalore, India, I was responsible for customizing and maintaining
SAP/R3 4.7 solutions for material supply and tracking for giant oil producer Saudi Armco’s Drilling and
Work-over Division. I was the primary Materials Management consultant for their Projects and Capital
Maintenance design team which customized MM, PM, AM and PS modules for all drilling consumable
materials and reusable equipment. Designed, supervised the development, documented, and supported
the implementation, deployment and daily maintenance of a custom SAP-based Drilling Rig Supply
System, which tracked all requests for materials and equipment (capital and non-capital) using standard
and custom workflow processing, as well as a Drilling Equipment Tracking System. Both systems
required multiple custom transactions, screens, reports, and data base tables, including adding many
fields to the Asset Master to handle equipment (defined as non-capital assets) and for drill pipes. I
developed custom data bases, transactions, screens and reports for the distribution and inventory
tracking of stock materials, and also materials and equipment which had already been expensed to a
cost center or WBS element. Implementations of both systems required the loading of PM Equipment
Masters and Asset Masters for all drilling equipment, and the roll-out to 58 oil rigs throughout the
country, as well as ongoing production support and further development. I also developed a 130-page
User Manual for all Drilling users, including Workflow procedures.
Consultant at Medsite Inc., a medical supplies internet distributer, Bloomfield
NJ (8/2003 to 12/2003)
I representing Samsung Data Systems of San Jose, California as MM and RF consultant for a rapid 4.6c
implementation of a web-based distributor of medical supplies and books. Designed and wrote
functional specs for a custom IM-based RF solution for goods receipts, physical inventory, and SD-
Delivery picking and packing, using fixed IM bins, and saving the client the expense of having to
implement WM. Built hand-held to Telnet Server to Sapconsole to SAP/R3 interface. Configured
consumption based planning, purchasing with outbound EDI 850 and inventory management. Also
configured and developed functional specs for the loading and updating of the Material Master, Vendor
Master, Info-Records and Stock Balances and Open Purchase Orders.
MM Consultant for the Delphi Automotive Competency Center (1/2000 to
1/2003)
Member of Purchase to Pay team of internal consultants (full-time Delphi employees) called the
Competency Center in Troy, MI, responsible for development and production support of SAP R/3 4.6c
baseline for multiple Delphi divisions. Delphi Automotive, at that time, was a relatively recent spin-off of
the parts division of General Motors
Initially (1/2000 to 6/2001), I was Purchasing Lead for 4.0 to 4.6 Chassis division upgrade, with
gap analysis expanding the baseline configuration to cover unique requirements of four other Delphi
divisions. I held together a disparate purchasing team of up to 15 power users from multiple divisions
and consultants form Delphi, SAP and Deloitte, throughout an 18 month project. I educated and
developed a super-user, whom Deloitte recommended being removed from the project, into one of the
most productive users on the team.
Upgraded configuration was extended to meet the requirements of all divisions represented on the user
core team and included complex scenarios for Direct Purchasing (scheduling agreements and spot buys,
source lists and info-records, forecast-based MRP, scheduled lines, EDI outbound Delfors (862), Deljits
(830) and inbound ASNs (856)), and for Indirect Purchasing (consumption-based MRP for MROs,
purchase requisitions and release strategies, automatic purchase orders, RFQs and quotes, Purchase
Orders for text materials and services, contracts and periodic payment orders). I specialized in
developing a custom minority reporting sub-system (using CO-Profitability Analysis tables, Bills of
Materials and where-used function modules, user exits, multiple custom ABAP programs, Z-tables and Z-
transactions), preparing functional specs for conversions and data loads, preparing training
documentation for end-users and training super users, organizing ASAP BPP documentation, security
authorizations, archiving, and the planning, leading and documenting of integration testing.
Supply Chain Lead (6/2001 - 12/2001) for scoping and planning the entire logistics side of an
Aftermarket division implementation, including PP, MM, SD. I provided the project with continuity on
the logistic development side by clearly scoping out the supply chain requirements, resources and
functionality. I then assured a high quality on time delivery on the supply fulfillment side despite
inadequate functional consulting resources, which forced me to do much more hands-on configuration
than originally planned.
During realization I was responsible (12/2001 - 1/2003) for hands-on leadership of the Supply
Fulfillment effort of up to 10 consultants and power users (including Material Master, outbound and
inbound interfaces with an external forecasting system, MRP, Scheduling, Purchasing and Invoice
Verification, EDI processing, standard BW cubes and queries, Third-party Warehousing and integration
with SD-Delivery and FI/CO) through development, integration testing, cutover and production support.
Had personal configuration responsibility for configuring Inventory Management, including inbound
processing for IM- and WM-managed storage locations, sub-contracting, custom RF-enabled Mobile
Data Entry (Logistic Execution-MOB using Sapconsole) for receiving, serialized pallet labeling, bin
placement, bin-to-bin transfers, replenishment, physical inventory, and return order processing in a
complex WM warehouse.
I designed the entire inbound process for receiving, labeling and pallet management in a complex WM
warehouse managed by Caterpillar Logistics for Delphi Aftermarket. This involved expanding and
improving Delphi’s already customized RF/Mobile Data Entry functionality, which simulated aspects of
standard WM 4.6 handling unit management (which was ruled out of scope before I got involved).
Senior Consultant for CSC Consulting (Global SAP Practice) (1998 to 1999)
MM/WM Consultant supervising a team of up to 10 CSC and SAP consultants and GMLG
users, at client General Motors Locomotive Group, LaGrange, IL (1/99- 9/99). During ASAP
planning phase I was able to persuade the client that their legacy Distribution Resource Planning
scenarios could be configured with standard SAP R/3 PP and MM functionality, using Flexible Planning
for push forecasting MRP from the central warehouse, supplemented by pull replenishment MRP to
source requirements from the product distribution centers and contract maintenance facilities.
During ASAP realization phase I did hands-on configuration of MM-Inventory Management and
Warehouse Management (including mixed stock, addition to existing stock, FIFO picking for SD-Delivery
and Lean WM for non-WM-managed storage locations, sourcing SM Service Orders, and physical
inventory) for the needs of the Aftermarket business for service parts and Canadian Defense vehicles, up
through prototyping phase of an R/3 4.0b implementation. I had to design manual bin-partition
procedures since the business-mandated first-in-first-out (FIFO) retrieval strategy was incompatible with
the put-away strategy of addition to existing stock, since batch management and standard WM 4.0
storage unit management (alternative methods of serializing pallets and other storage units) were ruled
out of scope, against my advice. I also configured inbound Routing and Tracking to monitor third-party
warehouse activities using Quality Management inspection plans (Task Lists with Reference Operation
Sets, making it unnecessary to have a Production Order for each inbound line item), prepared extensive
functional specifications for conversions, interfaces and forms, and prepared test scripts for integration
testing.
Testing Lead for client DuPont's Global Shared Design, Wilmington, DE (8/98 -10/98). I
supported multiple implementations, organizing the selection of testing Tools, resulting in the purchase
of Mercury's WinRunner and LoadRunner. I also planned the integration of automated and manual
testing strategies.
Single-handedly drafted and implemented the initiating proposal dividing the American SAP practice
into Functional Groups, including their organization and continuing practice-wide coordination.
Consultant for Siemens Nixdorf Information Systems (1997 to 1998)
MM/Inventory Controlling & Purchasing for client Purina Mills, a manufacturer of animal
foods in St. Louis, MO (9/97-12/97). Assisted in completion of prototyping and integration testing.
Set up Logistics Information System, designing reports tracking Process Orders. R/3 3.1g implementation
project for pilot plants included integration with PPI.
MM/Inventory Management for tractor manufacturer John Deere’s Funk Manufacturing,
Coffeyville, KS (4/97 - 9/97). Analyzed, prototyped, configured, unit-tested, documented and
supported integration testing for goods receipts and returns, transfer posting, goods issues, physical
inventory/cycle counting, as well as vendor evaluation. Big bang R/3 3.0e implementation project
included integration with WM, QM, PP (discrete Production Orders and repetitive Run Schedule
Headers), SD, PM, SM and FI/CO.
Consultant for Spearhead System Consultants (1996 to 1997)
Co-taught a 2-week SAP Production Planning course to ten users for client Nabisco Royal, a
food manufacturer in Cali, Columbia (11/96). Worked together with another consultant and
translators. Also advised project team, afterwards, on developing a strategy and plan for the R/3 3.0c
implementation of FI/CO, MM, PP and SD.
MM-Purchasing for client Anheuser Busch, a beer manufacturer in St. Louis (08/96 to 10/96).
Prototyping, including configuration, testing and scripting on Release 3.0d R/3 system implementation
for entire spare parts procurement cycle (consumption-based MRP, Purchase Requisitions, RFQs and
quotes, and automatic purchase orders) for vendor consignment goods in particular and stock
purchasing in general.
Technical Consultant for ConAgra Frozen Foods, Omaha (9/1995 to 3/1996)
Configured business processes for sales and distribution using SAP R/2 RV with an RM-MAT
front end and RF back end. Prototyped sample orders and non-trade receivables from RV to RF.
Designed process documents, scripts and ATAB tables for defining products and prices, order through
invoice, and product supplying and delivery. Also developed design documents for data base
maintenance, file conversions, inventory accounting, and EDI interfaces for both sales order processing
and inventory management.
Application Software Manager for Fiserv, Inc., an IT facilities manager for
Commercial Federal Bank in Omaha, NE (12/1994 to 5/1995)
Controlled the end phase of a new release installation of Data-Links Mortgage Accounting System and
year-end processing. Organized new release implementation project for Computer Associate’s Infopoint
Installment Loans system.

  • 7. MM Consultant at Saudi Aramco, a giant Middle East Oil Company (12/2003 to 11/2004) Representing Wipro Infotech of Bangalore, India, I was responsible for customizing and maintaining SAP/R3 4.7 solutions for material supply and tracking for giant oil producer Saudi Armco’s Drilling and Work-over Division. I was the primary Materials Management consultant for their Projects and Capital Maintenance design team which customized MM, PM, AM and PS modules for all drilling consumable materials and reusable equipment. Designed, supervised the development, documented, and supported the implementation, deployment and daily maintenance of a custom SAP-based Drilling Rig Supply System, which tracked all requests for materials and equipment (capital and non-capital) using standard and custom workflow processing, as well as a Drilling Equipment Tracking System. Both systems required multiple custom transactions, screens, reports, and data base tables, including adding many fields to the Asset Master to handle equipment (defined as non-capital assets) and for drill pipes. I developed custom data bases, transactions, screens and reports for the distribution and inventory tracking of stock materials, and also materials and equipment which had already been expensed to a cost center or WBS element. Implementations of both systems required the loading of PM Equipment Masters and Asset Masters for all drilling equipment, and the roll-out to 58 oil rigs throughout the country, as well as ongoing production support and further development. I also developed a 130-page User Manual for all Drilling users, including Workflow procedures. Consultant at Medsite Inc., a medical supplies internet distributer, Bloomfield NJ (8/2003 to 12/2003) I representing Samsung Data Systems of San Jose, California as MM and RF consultant for a rapid 4.6c implementation of a web-based distributor of medical supplies and books. Designed and wrote functional specs for a custom IM-based RF solution for goods receipts, physical inventory, and SD- Delivery picking and packing, using fixed IM bins, and saving the client the expense of having to implement WM. Built hand-held to Telnet Server to Sapconsole to SAP/R3 interface. Configured consumption based planning, purchasing with outbound EDI 850 and inventory management. Also configured and developed functional specs for the loading and updating of the Material Master, Vendor Master, Info-Records and Stock Balances and Open Purchase Orders. MM Consultant for the Delphi Automotive Competency Center (1/2000 to 1/2003) Member of Purchase to Pay team of internal consultants (full-time Delphi employees) called the Competency Center in Troy, MI, responsible for development and production support of SAP R/3 4.6c
  • 8. baseline for multiple Delphi divisions. Delphi Automotive, at that time, was a relatively recent spin-off of the parts division of General Motors Initially (1/2000 to 6/2001), I was Purchasing Lead for 4.0 to 4.6 Chassis division upgrade, with gap analysis expanding the baseline configuration to cover unique requirements of four other Delphi divisions. I held together a disparate purchasing team of up to 15 power users from multiple divisions and consultants form Delphi, SAP and Deloitte, throughout an 18 month project. I educated and developed a super-user, whom Deloitte recommended being removed from the project, into one of the most productive users on the team. Upgraded configuration was extended to meet the requirements of all divisions represented on the user core team and included complex scenarios for Direct Purchasing (scheduling agreements and spot buys, source lists and info-records, forecast-based MRP, scheduled lines, EDI outbound Delfors (862), Deljits (830) and inbound ASNs (856)), and for Indirect Purchasing (consumption-based MRP for MROs, purchase requisitions and release strategies, automatic purchase orders, RFQs and quotes, Purchase Orders for text materials and services, contracts and periodic payment orders). I specialized in developing a custom minority reporting sub-system (using CO-Profitability Analysis tables, Bills of Materials and where-used function modules, user exits, multiple custom ABAP programs, Z-tables and Z- transactions), preparing functional specs for conversions and data loads, preparing training documentation for end-users and training super users, organizing ASAP BPP documentation, security authorizations, archiving, and the planning, leading and documenting of integration testing. Supply Chain Lead (6/2001 - 12/2001) for scoping and planning the entire logistics side of an Aftermarket division implementation, including PP, MM, SD. I provided the project with continuity on the logistic development side by clearly scoping out the supply chain requirements, resources and functionality. I then assured a high quality on time delivery on the supply fulfillment side despite inadequate functional consulting resources, which forced me to do much more hands-on configuration than originally planned. During realization I was responsible (12/2001 - 1/2003) for hands-on leadership of the Supply Fulfillment effort of up to 10 consultants and power users (including Material Master, outbound and inbound interfaces with an external forecasting system, MRP, Scheduling, Purchasing and Invoice Verification, EDI processing, standard BW cubes and queries, Third-party Warehousing and integration with SD-Delivery and FI/CO) through development, integration testing, cutover and production support. Had personal configuration responsibility for configuring Inventory Management, including inbound processing for IM- and WM-managed storage locations, sub-contracting, custom RF-enabled Mobile Data Entry (Logistic Execution-MOB using Sapconsole) for receiving, serialized pallet labeling, bin placement, bin-to-bin transfers, replenishment, physical inventory, and return order processing in a complex WM warehouse. I designed the entire inbound process for receiving, labeling and pallet management in a complex WM
  • 9. warehouse managed by Caterpillar Logistics for Delphi Aftermarket. This involved expanding and improving Delphi’s already customized RF/Mobile Data Entry functionality, which simulated aspects of standard WM 4.6 handling unit management (which was ruled out of scope before I got involved). Senior Consultant for CSC Consulting (Global SAP Practice) (1998 to 1999) MM/WM Consultant supervising a team of up to 10 CSC and SAP consultants and GMLG users, at client General Motors Locomotive Group, LaGrange, IL (1/99- 9/99). During ASAP planning phase I was able to persuade the client that their legacy Distribution Resource Planning scenarios could be configured with standard SAP R/3 PP and MM functionality, using Flexible Planning for push forecasting MRP from the central warehouse, supplemented by pull replenishment MRP to source requirements from the product distribution centers and contract maintenance facilities. During ASAP realization phase I did hands-on configuration of MM-Inventory Management and Warehouse Management (including mixed stock, addition to existing stock, FIFO picking for SD-Delivery and Lean WM for non-WM-managed storage locations, sourcing SM Service Orders, and physical inventory) for the needs of the Aftermarket business for service parts and Canadian Defense vehicles, up through prototyping phase of an R/3 4.0b implementation. I had to design manual bin-partition procedures since the business-mandated first-in-first-out (FIFO) retrieval strategy was incompatible with the put-away strategy of addition to existing stock, since batch management and standard WM 4.0 storage unit management (alternative methods of serializing pallets and other storage units) were ruled out of scope, against my advice. I also configured inbound Routing and Tracking to monitor third-party warehouse activities using Quality Management inspection plans (Task Lists with Reference Operation Sets, making it unnecessary to have a Production Order for each inbound line item), prepared extensive functional specifications for conversions, interfaces and forms, and prepared test scripts for integration testing. Testing Lead for client DuPont's Global Shared Design, Wilmington, DE (8/98 -10/98). I supported multiple implementations, organizing the selection of testing Tools, resulting in the purchase of Mercury's WinRunner and LoadRunner. I also planned the integration of automated and manual testing strategies. Single-handedly drafted and implemented the initiating proposal dividing the American SAP practice into Functional Groups, including their organization and continuing practice-wide coordination. Consultant for Siemens Nixdorf Information Systems (1997 to 1998) MM/Inventory Controlling & Purchasing for client Purina Mills, a manufacturer of animal foods in St. Louis, MO (9/97-12/97).
