Client: Smurfit Stone Container Corp, September 2008 to October 2010
Industry: Manufacture and Distribution of packaging products
Project Scope: Version: 6.0, Modules: SD, LE, DIMP, PP, MM, FI/CO, PCA, AICOMP Paper4Pak
Specific Roles: Solution Architect / Interface Design / Logistics Execution
Mr. Rittenhouse completed his tenure on the COMPASS project as the project
manager for the CSC’s project team. Managed ten resources and provided
guidance to Smurfit’s Directors.
As the Solution Architect, established consultant and client methodology for
Process Design Documents, Business Process mapping, Configuration
Documentation, and RICEF-W creation.
Designed the interfaces for roll stock order management system. It required seven
interfaces including inbound and outbound purchase order interfaces (IDoc:
ORDERS05), inbound delivery creation (IDoc: DELVRY05), batch creation and
use of characteristics, and receipts (IDoc: WMMBID01). Further enhancements
designed for the subcontracting process for roll stock coating which required
processing pick records into SAP (IDoc: SDPIID01) and batch determination.
Supported logistics team for Handling Unit Management (HUM) configuration. The
design utilized Handling Unit Management (HU) with Batch Management. Spent
time “on the ground” to implement the solution, troubleshoot, and provide
support/guidance to the client.
Discrete Industry/Mill Products configuration functionality encompassed work
around SAP’s Product/Proportion Unit of Measure. It was utilized to keep track of
roll stock in a base unit of measure but to track the cost in an alternate unit of
measure.
Client: International Paper, November 2007 to August 2008
Industry: Manufacture and Distribution of packaging products.
Project Scope: Version: 4.7 (Enterprise) and SCM 5.0, Modules: SD, LE, TPVS, Event Mgr, RCX,
and MM.
Specific Role: V2 Logistics Execution Consultant
Focused on a specific design called “flexible shipping” for the Containerboard
Americas Division. An interface intensive project, it required the “demand” (stock
transfer orders (STO) be sent to the warehouse system followed by “shipment
shells” with no direct link to the STO. Within the warehouse system, the demand
was linked to the shipment shell, and then returned to SAP to join the STO delivery
to the shipment shell, perform picking, packing, and goods issue.
Supported the manufacturing execution system interface (SAP-to-Kiwiplan) which
provided status updates from the production system to the transportation planners.
Status updates were necessary so the transportation planners knew the estimated
dates/times for shipment creation and to update the warehouse system (see next
bullet).
After the purchase of another company International Paper shelved the project.

Project Scope: SAP R/3 4.6C implementation covering LE, SD, FI/CO, and MM
Specific Role: Lead Consultant – Mr. Rittenhouse had a broad role on this project as the main
consulting support on-site covering all modules. It was his last role at this client which
spanned three and one half years of implementations.
Change management in Logistics focused on training 3PL in manual delivery

Client: Meadwestvaco – Consumer and Office Products Division (May 2002 to November
2002)
Project Scope: SAP R/3 4.6C implementation covering LE, WM, RF, SD, FI/CO, and MM
Specific Role: Training – His chief role on the MCOP project was to train the division site process
representatives to thoroughly test the design and to perform knowledge transfer for the
EDI processes supporting the 3 PL’s. It was to be the team’s first VERY high volume
shipping experience so it was important the users could test the process, identify gaps,
and fix the process before “go live”.
Provide technical guidance for the alteration of the SDPICK and SHPMNT03 IDoc’s
(already highly customized) to handle “packing” (handling unit) functionality.
Guided the new support person for creation of a new functional specification,
integration and regression testing of the transactions (EDI: 940 and 945).
Blueprint the export process, especially output documents to confirm the
requirements were met for shipping office goods. Required modification,
specifically to Canada Customs Invoice.
Client: Meadwestvaco – Speciality Paper (December 2001 to April 2002)
Project Scope: SAP R/3 4.6C implementation covering LE, WM, RF, SD, FI/CO, and MM
Specific Role: Integration Test – Mr. Rittenhouse joined this project after the requirement gathering
phase. His main role was to identify and resolve gaps in the logistics processes, then
support “go live”.
A new Make-to-Contract design required a functional specification for updates to
the RF scanning functionality (Acsis RF).
Redefined the process to allow the business to load plan based on these contracts
and identify available inventory for their shipments.
Had to thoroughly test existing functionality as team also participated in upgrade
from 4.5B to 4.6C shortly before this “go live”.

Client: Meadwestvaco – Containerboard Division (June 2001 to November 2001)
Project Scope: SAP R/3 4.6C implementation covering LE, WM, RF, SD, FI/CO, APO and MM
Specific Role: Logistics Consultant – Mr. Rittenhouse’s technical role was to further improve
interface between SAP and the Manufacturing Execution System (OptiVISION).
Tested the SAP/Opti interface for load planning functionality and the
SAP/Opti/Acsis interface for picking functionality. This also required 7X24 testing
of Opti/Acsis functionality.
Trained the end users on the transportation planning process so they could build
full truckloads or full railcar loads, and load directly from production line to the
vehicles.
Performed fit/gap on the process to provide the users with the necessary reports
for loading and confirming shipments had been completed.
Client: Mead – Papers Division (June 2000 to May 2001)
Project Scope: SAP R/3 4.5B implementation covering LE, WM, RF, EDI, SD, FI/CO, APO and MM
Specific Role: Logistics Consultant – Mr. Rittenhouse designed and tested the SAP interfaces
necessary to communicate through EDI with third party logistics providers. He also
refined the interface between SAP and the Manufacturing Execution System
(OptiVISION).
Gathered requirements from the EDI team for the use of the 940, 945, and 856
transactions.
Created functional specifications for each of these transactions (mapped
transaction field-to-field, identified the IDocs to be utilized, and documented the
integrated flow between the third party warehouse and Mead’s system).
Thoroughly tested each of these transactions (point-to-point, functional tested, and
integration test). It resulted in a 95% success rate for these transactions across
four third party warehouse suppliers with approximately 320 shipments per day
(approximately 900 IDocs).
