1. The Hardy Family Chronicles II A Tale of Several Sims. The Blue Diamond – Part 4
2. It’s birthday time, and Jesse has bought a cake for the triplets, who are about to become young children.
3. Joanne The three girls are not as identical as Andrew and Richard are. To their parents relief, their hair is different colours, which helps tell them apart! Rachael Laura
4. But their looks are not the only thing that makes these girls different from one another.
5. Laura is the oldest, even if it is only by a few minutes. When she isn’t enjoying being alone, she hangs out with Andrew. She’s smart, with a head for numbers and a cold piercing logic that has her teachers feeling uncomfortable. There’s something going on behind her eyes they can’t get a handle on....
6. Rachael is the middle girl. She prefers Richards company, playing chess with him most evenings after their friends have gone home. Unlike Laura, she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body, and loves meeting new people.
7. Joanne is the youngest. She keeps herself to herself generally. Not on purpose, but because she likes the solitary pursuits of watching tv, playing computer games and sitting doing nothing. She’s as smart as her sisters but doesn’t do anything useful with it. If people ask about her, they are replied with a shrug.
8. Hannah watches her children grow proudly. Richard and Rachael playing chess reminds her of when her brother Jake would play for hours as a child. She wonders how he’s doing with his new wife Holly, it’s been a long while since she’s seen him.
9. They were quietly enjoying being married. What they had was a steady, solid relationship in the suburbs. But this was all about to be very disrupted by Jake’s past.
11. The youth introduces himself. It’s Bjorn, the baby he had with his ex-wife Heidi! Jake hasn’t seen him since he was a toddler when Heidi disappeared with him in the night.
12. Jake is chuffed to bits to be reunited with his son. It’s been so long. He was only a young man when he’d had Bjorn, perhaps now he was older he could connect with this stranger.
13. Holly sorts out a bed in the spare room in the attic. She’s a bit overwhelmed with the whole situation, but she’s determined to make it work.
14. But once the bedroom door is closed, Jake gives in to a panic attack. His son is a teenager, a complete stranger. He has no idea what his upbringing has been like, what’s happened to Heidi, what Heidi’s told Bjorn about him and why he’s here.
15. But he calms down. None of that matters, for whatever reason, his son is with him. He can get to know the boy, a chance he thought he’d never get.
16. Meanwhile, Holly has been chatting with the woman Bjorn brought with him. She introduces herself as Sophia Daanskard, a social worker. She will remain with Bjorn while he settles in, to ensure his well-being. She explains that Bjorn didn’t get on with his step-father. Heidi had been too scared to leave her second husband, for fear of being ostracised by her entire family. When Bjorn became a teenager, he was considered old enough to choose where he lived. He decided to swap the devil he knew for his biological father in the hope of a better life.
17. Holly passed this new information on to Jake. Perhaps this could be the start of a new era for the family. Jake is determined to make it work.
18. Bjorn settled in surprisingly quickly, though he didn’t venture out of the house very often. Jake soon had him enrolled at the local school.
19. Bjorn viewed the school with a sense of trepidation. From what Jake had told him, he had five cousins to meet.
20. At least two of them would be in his class. Hannah’s sons were growing up too and Richard and Andrew are now teenagers as well.
21. Richard was still much like his Uncle Jake was at his age, but with one crucial difference...
23. Their friendship was still as strong as ever. Richard would leave the dinner table if she phoned to talk to her. Andrew and everyone else assumed he was being rude, but there was more to it. Richard felt he had to answer, because Sadie was often ringing him for support and advice.
24. Andrew, though popular was not very bright. He still talked with Laura, often asking her for advice. So naturally he went to her with his jealousy over Sadie. Laura saw this as an opportunity to mix things up a little. She came up with a plan for Andrew that would make Richard and Sadie miserable. Andrew didn’t realise that he would also come out a loser if the plot went according to her devious plan.
25. The problem was that Sadie’s life has not improved since she was a child. Her parents were still locked in a dysfunctional cycle of fighting and making up.
26. The constant emotional upheaval from one extreme to the other has left Sadie a fairly angry young woman, who hates her father and has given up on her mother ever breaking away from her fathers controlling tyranny.
27. Thus far, Richard hadn’t had anything to do with her parents, only hearing about them from her. Until one day her dad asks him angrily what his intentions are towards his daughter, his controlling tendencies butting into his daughters life .
28. Suddenly, his feelings for Sadie were confused. He’d never seen her in that light before. Could his childhood best friend become something more?
29. Not if Andrew has anything to do with it. He’d taken Laura’s advice, and ingratiated himself with Sadie. He planned to wreck Richards friendship with Sadie by seducing her. She’d be so wrapped up in him she’ll have no time for his twin. Then, when their friendship has completely cooled off, he’ll dump her... She’d then avoid him and avoid Richard at the same time. Job done.
30. Hannah was tired. Signing autographs and performing concerts constantly was starting to take its toll.
31. Her training schedule was punishing, and Jesse was spending more time behind a desk than a saucepan. Neither of them were enjoying the creative forces that had prompted them to take on their respective careers.
32. Enough was enough. Between their combined incomes they never needed to work again. Early retirement beckoned, who knew what experiences lay ahead?
