Hannah is Isaac Worthington's 8-year-old daughter that he never knew about. She lives in Otago with her mother and attends primary school. Hannah doesn't have many friends and gets bullied for not having a father. A DNA test confirmed that Isaac is Hannah's father, so she and her mother travel to Auckland to meet him. Hannah is initially upset with Isaac for abandoning her mother, but grows close to him as her father.

2. Character SummaryHannah is Isaac Worthington’s 8 year old daughter that he never knew he had. She was born prior to one of Isaac’s frequent one night stands with her mother of whom he met at a bar in Otago before he came to Shortland Street Hospital. Hannah’s mother never knew who the father of her child was as they never communicated after that night. Once Hannah was old enough to ask who her father was, her mother decided to take her to get a DNA test. The results showed that her father was Isaac Worthington. She flies up to Auckland with her mother to see her father and sort things out.

3. School and FamilyHannah live in Otago with her mother and attends primary school (year 4). They’re not very well off since they are only living on one income, renting a small house etc. Hannah’s mother is very friendly and she has a really good relationship with her mother. She works at the hairdressers down the road.

4. Social LifeHannah doesn’t have many friends, she gets teased a lot because she don’t have a father. Hannah’s main friend is her mother. She doesn’t enjoy going to school because the older kids say she’s a ‘bastard’ and ‘illegitimate’. Her secret is that she never knew her father, but pretty much everyone at school knows as rumours spread fast.

5. Affects on other charactersHannah will effect other characters such as Isaac, her father, that never knew he had a daughter. Isaac will be shocked, and there will be a lot of talk about Isaac and his daughter around the hospital. Hannah will also effect Brooke Freeman, who has recently been seeing Isaac. She will most likely be put off Isaac.

The StorylineAt first, Hannah will be upset at Isaac because he never communicated with her mother, and because he ditched them, and he is now a wealthy doctor whereas they are living quite poorly. But as the storyline develops Hannah will grow to love Isaac, and they will become very close as father and daughter. Hannah and her mother are considering moving to Auckland, but Isaac isn’t too sure.

7. Why? The producers of Shortland Street should use me as an actress to be portray Hannah because I am a very reliable, hard working person who can instantly snap between playing a role and reality. I can also relate well to Hannah as a character because I created her, so I know everything there is to know about her and can portray her the way she should be.

8. AudienceThe members of the audience that Hannah would appeal to include single parents, families, and young children the same age as Hannah. The audience that may dislike Hannah include teenagers and people that are in the same situation as Isaac.
