2. Monday
• On Monday Year 1 made fact family butterflies
and completed a Narnia logic puzzle in groups.
• In the afternoon they were contestants on
‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire – Shape
Special’. Working in their groups, they had to
select the correct shape using the clues that
were given to them.
3. Tuesday
• Tuesday started with Year 1 using their bodies
to create the answers to maths calculations
with Mrs Crombie and inventing their own
game with only £1 to spend with Miss Hessey.
• In the afternoon they created their own
Beebot maps and made their own shape snap
cards.
4. Wednesday
• Wednesday was a very busy day for Year 1! They took
part in a blind trail and created their own directional
games and then built structures out of newspaper
that had to be secure enough to get into.
• In the afternoon they had a sports afternoon and
used stopwatches to time themselves and then took
part in the Spiderman challenge!!
5. Thursday• Year 1 started by making model aeroplane out of
pegs and lollypop sticks, seeing how far they could
fly and then measuring the distance.
• Next they made their own code breakers and
practiced reading a code and then creating their
own.
• In the afternoon, reception came to the year 1
teachers and they made shape pictures and used
their bodies to make shape outlines.
