Choose a specific ESL topic or
theme for exploration.
b. Determine the learning goals:
Clarify what you want students to
achieve through the driving
question.
c. Brainstorm open-ended
questions: Generate a list of
questions that encourage
exploration and critical thinking.
d. Refine the questions: Evaluate
and refine the questions to ensure
they meet the characteristics of
effective driving questions.
e. Select the driving question:
Choose the most compelling and
relevant driving question that
aligns with the learning goals.
