For their final project, students must create a presentation from the perspective of an underrepresented historical figure during a US historical event up to Reconstruction. The presentation can be in various formats like a website, Prezi, or PowerPoint. It must discuss the event, key people involved, the event's importance in US history, how it impacted the figure's daily life, and how it may long-term impact the underrepresented group. The presentation should be 10-14 slides with an accompanying 2-3 page paper or 4-6 minute audio narration. It needs at least one image per slide, cited sources including a journal article, an introduction, thesis, examples, and conclusion.
