Azizah and her colleagues stranded in a class that cut off electricity supply. After trapped for several
minutes, Azizah and her friends started to sweat and felt the heat. As Azizah did not withstand the
situation, she came out of the class and found that there was a temperature difference and the sweat
decreased.
Azizah attracted to whats happening and carried out an experiment to look for explanation for the
situation.
Data Logger
A device to calibrate data over time or in relation to other requirements with a built instruments or
sensor to detect data progression. The device linked to a digital processor or computers.

Aim –
To measure the loss of heat through sweat and
analyze the relationship between humidity and
body temperature.
Apparatus -
1. A plastic bag
2. 2 rubber bands
3. A humidity sensor
4. Two temperature sensor
5. A discovery
Procedure –
1. Data logger was set up
2. Temperature and humidity sensor placed on the fingertips
3. Temperature and humidity recorded for first 5 minutes
4. Temperature and humidity recorded with the hands covered
in a plastic bag for the next 10 minutes
5. The temperature and humidity recorded without plastic bag
for the last 5 minutes
6. Data collected and analyzed

In human body, when the body temperature increases, body will regulate it by producing sweat. When
the body temperature increases, the humidity also will increase due to sweat production.
