I was responsible for the implementation and management of the Enterprise data warehouse database
environment that included Ascential Data Stage ETL Tool and Oracle database.
Projects:
The Warehouse Management System (WMS) Project - Led the Database team in the design
and implementation of the both Logical and Physical database, working with the product vendor
(Provia). The database was in Oracle 9i and a size of 500Giga byte. I was also in charge of all the
level 2 supports to the database.
Product Allocation Project (Controlling the Store Allocations) - Was responsible for the
Logical and physical design using data modeling tool (Visual Studio) and Implementation of the
database on Oracle 8i. This is an OLAP database with 700 Gig in size. Data stage ETL was used for
data transfer between this database and a reporting data mart database.
CRM - Customer Relation Management Project (Data Warehouse) Participate
with the Database team in the design and implementation of the both Logical and Physical database.
The database was in Oracle 8i and a size of 2.5Tara byte. I was also in charge of all the level 2

6. supports to the database, which later grew to 3.5 Tara bytes. Data stage ETL and cross database
replications ware used to feed data to data warehouse.
Data Base Administration/Data Analyst
Check Clearing System - I defined, designed, developed, tested, and implemented the check clearing system
for the United Bank of Africa. The completed system extracted check information from the bank’s two
hundred branches, uploaded it to the central bank, and stored it in an Oracle 7 database. The data contained
a listing by external bank of all checks deposited in United Bank of Africa accounts. I also performed all logical
relational database design, and created the tables on raw UNIX devices.
Fixed Assets System - I was responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the bank’s
fixed asset tracking system. This included creating data entry screens with Oracle SQL*FORMS graphical
design interface. These screens contained various application specific event triggers to provide data
validation. This system provided the ability to add, modify, and query bank assets as well as the vendors who
provided them. The software monitored assets valued at or above $250, generated depreciation schedules,
and maintained warranty information. And also created various reports with SQL*Report Writer, and stored
procedures with PL/SQL.
