The Phoenix component, part of the Assign, Design and Logical Inventory (ADLI) platform, is the
strategic logical inventory system for Openreach. As such it is critical to BT's bottom line. It
manages FTTP, FTTC and Ethernet service records, supporting P&B, L2C and T2R processes for
Openreach. It is heavily involved in the superfast Broadband rollout, the FTTC rollout and
EAD/EBD circuit management. Phoenix replaces both BMS and LiNES as systems and system
entries in SALSA.
Responsibilities:
• Perform role of Environment Manager.
• Accountable for managing all Phoenix environments and ensure it is available to users 24x7.

Phoenix EvoTAM is BT Openreach's strategic EvoTAM logical inventory system. It stores a logical
representation of each EvoTAM along with a tie pair termination reference for every port.
Phoenix EvoTAM supports a mapping between tie pair and EvoTAM structure allowing queries to
be made such that a customer's line (identified by tie pair) can be switched on the EvoTAM

CDA Synchronization (From March 2004 to May 2005)
Synchronization process, keeps CDA (Cross-Domain Activation) database in synch with classic
stack. It involves Synchronization of the equipment newly added in the network layer.
Synchronization process copies the orders in classic stack to CDA database. The data is
extracted from BPS (Broadband Provisioning System) in a CSV file format and then loaded into
table of CDA. Reconciliation and synchronization process takes place and data is inserted into
appropriate table.
