Summary of overall Experience

 Configured and managed Oracle Dataguard for critical production

 Installed and configured Oracle APEX and Weblogic to create
supplemental applications that are easily integrated with Oracle E-
Business Suite and its data.
 Successfully configured SSL on E-Business 11.5.10.2 production and
test environments for securing access information.
 Upgraded and migrated oracle applications 10g (10.2.0.2) database from

3. 32bit hardware RH Linux 4 to 10.2.0.5 on 64bit hardware RH Linux 5.
 Created oracle E-Business disaster recovery instance to have
uninterrupted business continuity in case of any potential failure or
disaster that might prevent business from continuing operations
 Migrating and upgrading oracle 9i database on windows 2000 to oracle
11g on Redhat Linux AS4. All the functionality of application is tested
after successful migration and upgrade.
 Migrated and upgraded database from oracle 9i on windows 2000 to
oracle 10g(10.2.0.4) on RH Linux 4.
Job responsibilities
 Worked as An Oracle RAC and Core Database Administrator in
production support. Responsible for Installation, cloning, patching,
upgradation, migration, decommission, ASM, dbcontrol, grid enterprise
manager, Active data guard, patching clustered home, data guard of RAC

 Cloned Oracle applications R12 production instance of 2 application
nodes, PCP configured setup with RDBMS 11g RAC to single node and
multimode test and development instances.

rpm’s and configuring Linux for oracle installation.
 Performing regular health check of RAC databases and Oracle
applications 11i / R12 E-business suite.
 Configured backups using RMAN (full and incremental), logical backups
using EXPORT and IMPORT utility.
 Configured db links for multiple Databases to exchange data within
databases.
 Installed and configured Oracle Gateway software to exchange data from
MS SQL Databases.
 Creating and Managing Database users, profiles and assigning
accordingly to users for database security.
 Proactively monitoring of file systems and tablespace sizes.
 Monitoring database alter log Apache logs, conc. Managers logs, etc,
proactively for any database and application error.

Database:
 Patching Oracle Cluster 10g and working with ASM instances.
 Configuration of the backup location for the OCR files and configures the
backup for the voting disk using ocrconfig and dd command.
 Monitoring of the oracle cluster ware using crsctl, ocrcheck, crs_stat,
crs_stop, crs_start, ifcfg, cluvfy, srvctl... etc.
 Trouble shoot the issues with Oracle cluster Installation , cloning,
administration of oracle 9i, 10g and 11g databases.
 Implementation of backup and recovery strategies for all the databases
and applications, configuring RMAN for all databases and performing
database backups on tape and disk using RMAN through scripts and
monitoring daily backups.
 Duplicate database for cloning with RMAN and refreshing of test
databases from production instance.
 Cloned 2 node Oracle database 10g RAC instance to single instance
database for Test environment.
 Applied RDBMS patches on oracle homes with opatch utility.
 Proactively monitoring disk space and performance of databases to avoid
issues and to assure availability of all instances at any point of time.

 Configuration of networking, configuring NFS, adding servers to DNS.
 Creating and formatting of the disk partitioning of local and SAN storage
LUN. Use the Ext2,Ext3 and ocfs2 (in case of Oracle RAC) file systems to
format the partition.
