There are different types of heavy equipment that are used for construction purposes. Tractors are one of them. There are different types of tractors discussed in this ppt.

Types of tractors
1. A tractor is a versatile type of earth-moving equipment that
may be used in a variety of ways on a construction site. A
tractor is a self-propelled motor unit with wheels or tracks
that is used to operate horticultural hardware and
equipment such as trailers. A tractor motor is used as a vital
mover for dynamic instruments and stationary rural
apparatus via the power take-off shaft (PTO) or belt pulley.
While its primary use is to pull or push items, it is also used
as a support for a variety of connections, including front-end
digging equipment, tractors, and others. There are a variety
of styles and sizes available to suit almost any application.
Types of Tractors
2. Wheeled Tractors
Wheeled tractors can have two or four wheels. One of the
primary advantages of a wheeled tractor over a crawler work
vehicle is its faster speed (50 km/hr). A wheeled tractor, on the
other hand, should forego pulling effort in order to achieve a
faster speed. Most wheeled vehicles feature a free driving grip,
as well as separate directing grips or brakes. A wheeled
agricultural tractor has a guiding wheel that is simple to use and
maintain. Wheeled tractors are typically powered by 6-12 kW
gasoline or diesel engines and have rubber tyres or steel confine
wheels. Elastic tyres are commonly used for dry soil furrowing
and transporting. Any damp operation necessitates the use of
confinement wheels. The majority of wheeled tractor
transporters have a free driving grip as well as separate
regulating grips or brakes. The most common working material
arrangement is three fronts and one back. Wheel tractors
complete land planning. Furrowing, leveling out the land,
transportation, and water syphoning are all examples of this.
3. Crawler Tractors
A crawler tractor is a construction vehicle with tracks instead of
wheels. It is ideal for rural applications such as soft ground and
trash. Crawler-type tractors are now widely employed in the
horticulture industry because of their low ground tension and
exceptional footing ability. Frequently used as part of an
Engineering vehicle once additional attachments, for example, a
tractor cutting edge or ripper, have been installed. They make
contact with a larger surface area than a wheeled vehicle. As a
result, they are appropriate for usage on sensitive, low-rubbing,
unbalanced terrain such as mud, ice, and snow.
4. Walking Tractors
Garden tractors and power tillers are examples of walk-behind
tractors. Walking Tractors, also known as Two-Wheel Tractors,
are utilized in a variety of applications all over the world.
Construction Walking Tractors are adaptable and productive
workhorses for everyone from small hobby ranchers and
gardeners to large farms and construction businesses. There is
no guiding material on the tractors, therefore it cannot be
controlled. Slowing down on one side of the track while
driving on the other is how the tractor is guided. These are
used for clearing land or damaging it. The average furrow
pace is roughly 15 sections of land every day, with strengths
ranging from five to 100+. This varies according to the land
and complexity of the area being furrowed.
