meet the requirements of OSHA PSM Regulations. Risk based

successfully implemented new work processes in each leadership role to
deliver on the overall strategies of the company including HES
improvements, work process standardization, efficiency/productivity
improvements and by promoting overall teamwork principles.

Maintenance Manager
This position is responsible for overall utilization of plant resources to
achieve strategic maintenance and reliability objectives. This includes
compliance with Chemtrade Responsible Care objectives and the
maintenance and reliability program, preparation and tracking of
maintenance budget, implementation of capital projects, and
management of all maintenance activities including the annual
turnaround. The maintenance manager manages in the 1 month to 1
year time frame.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Safety and Environmental - accountable for the entire maintenance
department’s adherence to safety policies and procedures. The
maintenance manager sets the example for safety in the department by
leading outage hazard recognition meetings, auditing daily crew
meetings, performing housekeeping audits, and maintaining excellent
personal safety performance. The maintenance manager also leads or
participates in incident investigation.
• Plant maintenance and reliability program leader – implement and
update policies and
procedures and oversee the plant mechanical integrity program which
includes: Vibration Analysis,
RCFA, Oil Analysis, Infrared Analysis and Maintenance Work Flow. The
maintenance manager is accountable for reliability metrics such as plant
availability, and for completing the majority of the action items from the
corporate database.
• Maintenance budget – accountable for cost control of daily work, 1 day
outages, and annual
turnaround. Also responsible for budgeting, scheduling, pre-outage
hazard preparation,
measurement metrics, critiques, etc.
• Plant Reliability and Maintenance Engineer – Perform engineering
troubleshooting of plant
process and/or equipment issues.
• Capital projects - development and management of projects.
• People – Hold maintenance department accountable to performance
expectations – assist
maintenance supervisor when needed on people issues such as
answering grievances and other
contract relations.

Products manufacturing facility including all aspects of backlog
management, planning, scheduling and execution of routine and
preventive maintenance activities.

a 5 day total site power outage during the event.
 Successfully met budget and duration for shutdown which included
Olefins, Polypropylene and Polyethylene facilities.
 Implemented first time contracting strategies at the Odessa Facility that
were instrumental in meeting short duration of shutdown.
2002 - 2003 Huntsman Port Arthur, TX
Turnaround Team Leader
 Led cross functional Turnaround Team (Maintenance, Engineering,
Operations and EH&S) during scope development, planning, scheduling,
and execution of a $19 million (45 day) total site shutdown.
 Successfully met budgeted costs in spite of extended duration of 7 days
due to unscheduled facility shutdown as the result of a power outage one
month prior to the scheduled outage which resulted in additional olefins
cracking furnace repair scope.
 Shutdown included 1.4 Mlb/day Olefins unit, Aromatics unit and
Cyclohexane unit..
