Accomplishments
Lead Operator in Horizontal Production Well Testing & Lease Operations.
Professional Experience
Production Testing Operator (November 2012 to Current)
TETRA Technologies L.L.C. – Midland, Tx.
Operating Horizontal Production Well Tests for Pioneer Natural Resources.
1. XBC Giddings Estate 1000 & 1001 Tank Battery (2170H; 4101H; 4099H; 4098H;
4097H; 4096H). XBC Giddings Estate ‘A’ 6D SWD.
2. Rocker B N Tank Battery (88H; 89H; 90H; 91H).
3. Pembrook N 10H Tank Battery (1401H; 1402H; 1201H; 1202H)
4. Shackleford; SSU; Scharbauer Ranch; Robbins; D. L. Hutt; PSU; and Mabee K
Horizontal Wells &Tank Batteries.
Monitoring & Setting Test Trains.
1. Ensuring proper working pressures are maintained on 2 phase; F.W.K.O.; and
Heater Treater Vessels. I have done a 90/60/35 vessel pressure ratio on lower
producing wells; and higher 120/80/40 pressure ratio on production trains with
higher well head pressures and flow rates to ensure vessels are not overloaded.
2. Purging sight glasses to ensure visibility of fluid and gas separation.
3. Setting Micro switches and “alligators” to optimal dump points to allow for
maximum oil and water separation.
2. 4. Setting little Joe pressure regulators and bleeding/purging gas lines that supply
oil and water dumps on vessels; including draining scrubber pots to prevent
fluid/condensate build up in supply lines.
5. Ensuring Heater Treater Vessels are at optimal levels by adjusting weir nipple
(keeping oil level just above fire tube for proper BS&W separation).
Maintaining and Gauging Tank Battery Levels with correct Designation of Fluids.
1. Gauging tanks hourly to verify production rates and comparing to barrel meters.
(Also ensuring proper calibration of meters including setting both top gauge and
interface levels on tank stick meters ).
2. Running circulation pump as necessary to circulate bottoms on oil tanks and
remove BS&W to ensure highest oil quality for LACT Sales. Also isolating water
tanks with oil build up and circulating back through heater to re-capture oil and
maximize oil sales.
3. Checking water transfer pumps and comparing daily water transfer against
production rates and SWD holding capacity.
4. Ensuring Tank hatches are closed when not in use and sealing properly to
maximize VRU and Gas Sales.
Report Flow-rates for Oil, Water, and Gas production.
1. Calculating and reporting hourly and daily production rates on a Pioneer flow-
back sheet and emailing to contact group via Microsoft Outlook.
2. Responding to correspondence and making necessary adjustments in the field.
(This includes setting choke as scheduled and gas injection rates).
3. Relaying all rates and production data to Lease Operator for Evin input and
correlation of well tests.
Oversee Oil Sales for LACT units and truck hauling.
1. Contacting Pioneer Gauger daily with the number of loads to call in based on
daily oil production rates. (Truck Haul)
2. Checking BS&W percentage; Temp; Avg. Temp; Total Temp; and Counts for
Accuracy.
Observe and Diagnose any equipment failures and leaks.
1. Contacting Roustabout for replacement or repair of pipe leaks; Kim Ray
valves; and other basic repairs that require more than individual service.
2. Contacting Foreman for any further assistance and diagnoses.
3. Artificial Lift Systems
1. ESP Monitoring System and checking proper Hertz; Amps; Pump Intake; and
Pump Temperature values.
2. Calling ESP Technicians (Accelerated & Schlumberger) for ESP faults and bringing
units back on-line.
3. Monitoring Gas Lift Injection rates and setting values. Alerting Foreman of Gas
Compressor Shutdowns.
