Our reach
We believe that all children should have the opportunity to learn
to code, no matter who they are or where they come from.
165000 young people attend Code Club each week, and they
come from diverse backgrounds, for example:
● Native communities in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada
● Favelas in Brazil and slums in Bangladesh
● Orphanages in Ukraine and Croatia
● Refugee centres in Turkey and Syria

What do young people learn?
Our free projects are step-by-step guides which help young people learn to
create their own games, animations, and webpages.

What volunteers say
“Code Club has definitely shown me that
learning new digital skills isn’t hard. If
the kids can do it, so can I. Every week, I
try out the project we are going to do at
the Code Club at home. I’m really
enjoying it, and I’m impressed by my
own growing coding skills.”
– Elbrie de Kock, Code Club volunteer

What volunteers say
“I started a Code Club in April 2016, and it
is an amazing experience! It’s very
interesting to see the students falling in
love with coding from the very first class,
and to see how they progress. Having the
help of other volunteers in leading
sessions by turn is one of the keys to a
dynamic and sustainable club.” – Felipe
Fernandes, Code Club volunteer, Brazil
